"Oh, um…" He glanced over at Sorin, silently repeating the question.
"Oh, um…" He glanced over at Sorin, silently repeating the question.
Sorin nearly told him he could get as many as he wished, but had already grown accustomed to his indecisiveness. He smiled at him then turned to the vendor. "We'll get eight, I guess," he said and watched as the man moved about to put them into a plastic bag. "If it's too little or too much, I could always fix it," Sorin said, turning to Cas again.
Cas nodded, watching the fish closely as they were placed into the bag. He thanked the vendor and took the bag when it had been filled, beginning you turn away.
He took the bag out of his hand and put it into the cart before taking a hold of his hand. Sorin walked them into the baking isle and picked up a few items, but remained there as he struggled to find the yeast.
"What're we looking for?" Cas asked, holding tight to Sorin's hand so they wouldn't be separated.
He glanced at him and continued to look. "Some yeast. You don't have to stand here with me, you know. There's candy and stuff in the next isle."
"I'm fine to stay with you…" Cas moved a little closer to Sorin, glancing around despite not knowing how to find the word yeast on anything.
"Are you sure? You're free to wander wherever, Cas…" he stood up straight and looked at him. "I know you have this anxiety and all, but I don't want you to be confined with only being with me."
"But I like being with you." Cas replied, entwining his fingers with Sorin's while he looked up at him.
"I know you do and I like being with you too… but don't you want to go elsewhere?" He held his hand firmly as he looked down at him.
"Not really. I'm happy to just stay here with you." He smiled softly and hugged Sorin.
Sorin lowered his head and planted a kiss on top of his. "As long as you're happy, I guess…"
He grinned a little wider and tightened his grip on Sorin's hand. Thank god I managed to convince him…
Sorin scanned the shelves again and beamed once his eyes landed on the yeast. They were at the top of the shelf, though it didn't take much effort for him to reach it due to his height. He set it into the cart before he went to retrieve a large carton of eggs and a gallon of milk. He had urge to pull out the picture in his pocket, but decided against it when he realized who he was walking with. He led Cas to the snack isle and held his arm out to the array of sweets on the shelf. "You're welcome to choose what you like. But not too much though. I wouldn't want you getting cavities."
"Ooh…" Cas looked up, distracted and intrigued by the bright colors of the sweets. Although he couldn't read the names of anything, the pictures gave him a pretty good idea of what was inside the colorful, shiny packages. "What do you think I'd like?"
Sorin sighed and looked at him. "Casper, I can't pick for you. I want you to pick something that you like."
"I know, but I've never had any of these before. I don't know what I'd like." Cas stood on his toes to see the sweets better.
Sorin smiled at him sympathetically and searched for sweets he thought he would like. A large bag of Oreos caught his eye as well as the bag of Swedish Fish below it. "What about these? Do they look appealing to you?"
"Ooh, fish!" He picked up the bag of Swedish Fish, intrigued.
"I'll take that as a yes," he said with a small chuckle then put the bag of Oreos into the cart. "That should be all for right now… I think."
Cas nodded and took Sorin's hand again, his tail swaying behind him. "What else do we need, love?"
"I don't think we need anything else," he glanced at him and began pushing the cart out of the isle. "Not that I remember."
"We probably should've made a list… I would've, but I barely know how to write anything." Cas looked down into their cart.
"Yeah, that would've been a better idea…" he stopped and stood behind a line of people, a part of him hoping they wouldn't look back at them. "And I'm always ready to start lessons again when you're ready."
Cas sighed a bit, gripping Sorin's hand tighter. "I don't think I'll ever be ready to, but I probably should…"
