"Er… okay?" Cas licked the ice cream, figuring that was the right thing to do, and shivered. "It's really cold… tastes good, though."
"Er… okay?" Cas licked the ice cream, figuring that was the right thing to do, and shivered. "It's really cold… tastes good, though."
His heart was beating hard enough to escape his chest. Sorin didn't know why, though the feeling wasn't foreign to him. It was the same when he first took out Veronica for ice cream, when he took her out for the very first time despite her father's wishes to remain at the house at all time. He pushed backed that memory and gave Cas a small smile.
"You good? You looked a bit lost for a sec." Cas licked the ice cream again, swinging his legs a bit under the chair.
"I'm alright," Sorin nodded as if he were convincing himself he were.
Cas seemed skeptical, but he didn't push it. "Ow… the iced cream is hurting me…" He winced a bit, holding the ice cream away from his body.
"How so?" Sorin gently pulled out the ice cream from his hands.
"My head… there's a sharp stabbing pain." Cas eyed the ice cream, confused. "Oh, it seems to be going away."
Sorin chuckled. "That's called a brain freeze. You were eating the ice cream too fast." He handed back the ice cream to Cas.
"Oh… okay." Cas soon finished his ice cream and left the store with Sorin. He held all their bags since Sorin was going to have to carry him while he flew.
"Are you sure you don't need any help?" Sorin asked flapping and stretching his wings a little before they took flight.
"I can manage until we get back." Cas adjusted his grip on the bags.
"If you say so…" Sorin carried him and flew straight home, though careful of the boy in his arms and the bags he was carrying. He set him down gently and grabbed the keys from the back of his pocket to open the door.
Cas set the bags on the counter and stretched. "What now?"
"I'm going to work out. Your welcome to do whatever you want."
"Alrighty. Have fun!" Cas started unpacking things and got out the cat toys.He took off his hat and freed his tail, taking his armload of toys to the living room.
Sorin walked under the stairway, where a door present. He opened it, revealing the two dumbbells on the carpeted floor he forgot to put up the morning before. He picked them up and put them on the rack before taking off his shirt His tattoo began to glow, from his bicep then down to his wrist. Angels were to be active daily to fuel it-as it was, in a way, their heart. Sorin monitored it as he got on his bench press, making sure it pulsed like it was suppose to.
Cas dropped the toys on the floor and watched as the yarn started rolling away. He purred lowly and crouched down, running after it. At one point, he slid across the ground and knocked over a lamp, freezing up at the sudden loud noise.
Sorin's heart dropped to his stomach. He dropped the weights down and ran out the room. "What was that? Are you okay?"
Cas looked up at Sorin as he entered the room. He was on his hands and the balls of his feet, his ears were turned back, and his fluffed up tail was tucked between his legs. His eyes flicked over to the ball of yarn still rolling across the floor, then to the fallen lamp, and finally back up to Sorin. "Uh…"
Sorin glanced at the lamp then looked at Cas. He slid down to his knees in front of him and held both of his hands. "Are you hurt?" he examined his arms making sure nothing cut him.
Cas crawled over to Sorin, his ears still turned back. "No… I-I think I'm fine…" He relaxed against Sorin, his tail gradually smoothing itself down.
Sorin stroked his hair and pulled him closer. "Well, i'm happy to hear that you are. Be careful when running around here, okay? There are some items here that won't be much fun to break." He thought about the many antiques he brought over from Auriya. The mirror he kept on the wall beside the stairs, the Dellian glass mask he kept in his trophy case-magical items that could hurt him.
Cas nodded, purring softly. "I'm sorry I knocked over the lamp… I don't think it's broken." He glanced over at the lamp, which luckily seemed to be fine. He pulled himself into Sorin's lap and lay his head on his shoulder.
Sorin turned around in attempt to hide his blush. "I know… I just," he looked at him. "Just be careful."
"Okay…" Cas let his ears come back up, and they brushed against Sorin's jaw. He curled his tail around the both of him and closed his eyes, still purring.
