"Aika." Ava said, making sure she said it right. "I-Is that a-a nickname or…?"
"Aika." Ava said, making sure she said it right. "I-Is that a-a nickname or…?"
"My actual name." Aika said, scrambling to stand up. "Fun fact, it means love song. Pretty neat, right?"
"Oh! W-Well th-that cool." Ava said getting to her feet. "My n-name means l-life."
(Totally did not just learn that 30 seconds ago.)
((Lmao. All of my characters have names that have a specific meaning that connects to them, or that can be turned into a certain nickname.
"It does! Meanings of names are kind of a…hobby of mine." Aika said, leaning against the counter and watching Ava.
"Really?" Ava asked, as she straightened her lab coat.
"Yup. If you gave me a name, I could very likely give you what it means."
"Umm…Fritz?" She asked.
"Peaceful ruler. It can also be a contraction of Frederick." Aika responded without hesitation. "Although, I still can't get over the fact that there's like, a person in the world with the name Fritz."
"Wow!" Ava mussed. "You r-really do know a-a lot about n-names."
"I used to spend hours on baby name websites, or sites like Behind The Name, or Meaning Of Names." A photographic memory helped, but she bet that if she had been normal, she would have done the same.
"Whoa! Th-That quite a hobby." Ava mussed.
(Sorry I was gone!)
((You're good my dude!
"Yeah, well, I don't have a whole lot to do, outside of, y'know, 'villainy'."
"T-True." Ava mussed.
"It doesn't seem like you have much, either." Aika said, starting to put things in the almost empty refrigerator.
"W-Well I a-actually do a-a lot of stuff." Ava said.
"Care to share?" She asked, looking at the onion she was holding. She looked incredibly confused, like she wasn't quite sure what it was, or where it went.
Ava walked over and grabbed the onion from Akia. "W-Well I like cooking, b-building, prog-gramming, and r-reading." Ava explained as she looked for a cutting board. "S-So basically I-I'm your stereotypical ne-rd."
"Nerds are cute." Aika stated, pulling a cutting board from the mess of things. "This what you're looking for?"
Ava blushed slightly. "A c-cutting board." She said as she continued to look, not facing Akia.
"Yeah, like the piece of wood I'm holding." Aika raised an eyebrow, lightly bumping Ava's head with it.
Ava rubbed her head before grabbing the cutting board and grabbing a knife.
"So, uh, odd question. What is that?"
Ava looked at Akia in suprise. "Y-You've never seen a-an onion before?" She asked.
"That's what an onion looks like?" Aika skipped over, standing close to Ava as she looked at the onion curiously.
"Y-Yeah! I u-usually don't use onions i-in my c-cooking though." Ava said as she began to cut the sides off the onion and then began to peel it.
