"I uh, don't want to forget how to talk!" Paisley said with a chuckle. She has a very pretty voice… we should talk more… She was walking regularly for a second, then she stopped, realizing what she just thought. Once again, she looked down in embarrassment.
Meredith chuckled softly, ”I don't think that's something that easy to forget but I get your point.” She smirked at her a bit red-faced, Your voice is very nice too.
Paisley shrunk a little at the compliment. If anyone couldn't tell, she is very easily flustered. Slowly, she started walking again. Thanks… sorry I'm such a mess…
”It’s ok. It's been a weird day.” Meredith comforted. And it's not even noon, yet. Besides, I don't think you're a mess.
Paisley lifted up her head and sent Meredith a soft smile. "Thank you." She looked around at the scenery. "Wow, it really is beautiful out here… I should get out more."
”Don’t mention it.” She smiled back, ”Yeah, one of the reasons I come here so often. It's pretty peaceful too, great place to clear your head.” Meredith sighed, taking in the fresh wood scented air.
Paisley did the same, closing her eyes. After a few seconds, she opened her eyes again. Her eyes shifted to a clearing. She ran over an laid down, letting out a big breath.
Meredith smiled following her into the clearing. ”Turn Around Point”. I knew we were close.
”You comfortable down there?”
Paisley smiled looking up at Meredith. "Surprisingly yes! How often do you do this? Like, lay down right here?"
Meredith shrugged, sitting on the ground next to her. ”Not very often I guess. Most of the time I just do a wide turn in here and head back.” It’s why I call this place ”Turn Around…” you already heard that… She cleared her throat, ”Sorry. There was one time I actually stopped here for a minute and I swear I saw a deer about 5 or 10 feet in front of me. Right over there.” She smiled, pointing at the spot.
Paisley smiled and looked over to where Meredith pointed. "Oh, it's okay. But that's really cool! Since I live in the city and never go out I don't ever get to see deer." She shifts so her head is on Meredith's leg. "Sorry if your leg falls asleep." She said drowsily.
Meredith smiled, blushing slightly at how comfy Paisley was with her. ”It’s ok. But you are definitely a city girl if this place is making you tired. You really should get out more.” She semi-teased, leaning back onto the ground, crossing her hands behind her head. This is pretty nice, though. … She is so flipping adorable. How can she call herself a mess?… Oh wait! Crap! She heard that.
Paisley was half asleep but she could still hear everything perfectly fine. Thank… you… She didn't fully realize what Meredith had said, but she did hear it. After just a few minutes, Paisley was once again asleep leaning on Meredith.
(Do you wanna time skip or no?)
Meredith blushed a bit but didn't move as Paisley fell back asleep. Geez, must not have gotten much sleep at all last night, huh cutie. She wasn't too worried about her thoughts at the moment since she didn't wake up in the library. I hope it's not the telepathy wearing you out. She half-joked.
The air out here actually had the oppose affect on Meredith than it did Paisley. She was relaxed, yes, but it was an aware type of relaxed. (if that makes any sense.)
Maybe I should take you camping sometime. She wondered, making shapes out of the clouds.
(Time skip a few hours, minutes, or anything else?)
(Maybe an hourish?)
After about an hour, Paisley woke up, still on Meredith's leg. While blinking her eyes, she slowly sat up realizing that she had fallen asleep, again. She closed her eyes after she blinked them a few times. Meredith, are you awake?
Yeah, I'm awake. … If you couldn't hear my thoughts, I’d probably try to pretend I wasn't. Meredith smirked, sitting up as well. ”Have a nice nap?”
Paisley slowly turned around and opened her eyes with a smile. "It was great actually." She rubbed her eyes a little. "So are we going to turn around and head back?"
”We probably should.” Meredith looked at her phone, groaning slightly. ”I got math next. You?”
Maybe we could meet back up for lunch later.
"I have… design… I think." Paisley said with a groan as she stood up. She brushed the dirt off her clothes and held out her hands to help Meredith up. Sounds like a plan!
Awesome. Meredith smiled, accepting the help up, despite being whole 4 or 5 inches taller. ”What, like fashion design?” Or graphic design… But I'm having a hard time picturing that one.
Paisley smiled as she helped Meredith up. "Yeah, no graphic design for me… from what I've heard, it's kinda a rough class…" And I don't have the skills, but we don't talk about that She started walking, slowly so Meredith could walk with her though.
Meredith chuckled, walking alongside Paisley. ”Yeah, me neither. My skills are more sporty. I think Graphic Design has a lot of math, and if you don't have amazing computer skills then you can just forget about it.”
