Meredith took the subtle hint and tried a sip of the cream soda. How the flip have I never tried this before!?! ”This is really good.” she smiled pushing it back to Paisley.
Meredith took the subtle hint and tried a sip of the cream soda. How the flip have I never tried this before!?! ”This is really good.” she smiled pushing it back to Paisley.
Same question with how we have met before, I guess today's just full of things we haven't experienced before. Paisley took back her drink and took another sip of it. "Mmmm I know, it's literally one of the best things I've ever had."
Meredith chuckled a bit, ”Yeah, I guess it is.” she smirked, ”One of the best drinks maybe but my mom hands down makes the absolute best apple pies ever. This place comes a close second in that department.”
"Ooo! I'm going to have to try it sometime!" Paisley leaned back on her chair, stretching a little. A few minutes later, their food came, the waiter leaving immediately after. "Ohh yess! I love how fast this place it with their food."
Meredith nodded, ”Me too. Hey since your family lives so far away, maybe you could come with to my parents’ place during a break.” Her smile brightened as she spoke.
Paisley put her hand's over her heart and smiled. "That would be so wonderful! Thank you so much!" Just a second later she took her hands off her chest and took a bite of her wrap, closing her eyes in enjoyment after. Mmmmm better than I remember!
Meredith picked up her sandwich, smiling. ”Anytime.” My folks would love you… she admitted. If you want to steal any of my fries, your more than welcome.
In that case… Paisley reached her hand to Meredith's plate, stealing a fry. She ate it in one bite, smiling with her mouth closed at Meredith. "Thank you again, I would definitely love to come meet your parents and stuff!"
Meredith smiled around her sandwich. What is your family like? I would really like to know more about you.
Well… they're just amazing and so supportive. I feel so lucky to have such parents and a great younger brother that's still in high school. Paisley smiled thinking about her family. "I definitely want you to meet them sometime."
”I’d love to. They sound great.” Meredith noted. ”A younger brother? Lucky. I'm an only child so it feels like there's a lot of pressure on me.” They never say it but sometimes I think my dad wanted a son instead.
"Yeah he's amazing, but such a brat sometimes, you know how teenage boys are," Paisley said with a laugh. Awe no I bet they're so soo glad you are their child and they couldn't dream of anything else.
Meredith nodded. ”Yeah, especially in high school. They think they're invincible or something just cause they're on the football team.” she chuckled, rolling her eyes. I know. It's just a silly little thought that creeps in every once in a while. I try not to pay attention to it.
(So sorry this is so late, I was a bit more busy than usual)
Paisley nodded, taking a bite of her wrap with a smile again. This was such a nice turn of events for the day. Normally she would probably be in the food court eating alone with music and, sometimes, assignments to work on. Yeah, thoughts can be… interesting to say the least.
(No worries.)
Especially now that we seem to share them for some reason… Not complaining but still unusual. Meredith shrugged, taking another drink of her shake. ”I have to admit, this is one of the best lunches I've had in a while. And not just because of the food.”
"I was about to think the same thing! I would be that one person in the corner sitting alone." Paisley laughed a little, smiling after. Yeah, for sure. "We should do this often, or at least eat together whenever we can!"
”I would love to. Even if it is just at the cafeteria.” Meredith smiled. You’d never have to eat alone again if that's what you wanted. … Er, sorry. That sounded a little possessive. she blushed.
Paisley smiled with a small giggle. Not possessive at all, I would love to never eat alone honestly. "Not all the food is bad there, so I'm not complaining."
That’s a relief. Meredith relaxed slightly. ”Yeah, they have some decent stuff sometimes.” If she eats alone at school then that would mean— OKAY! PULL THE BRAKES!!! ”Sorry. That was… I'm sorry.”
Paisley raised her eyebrows at Meredith. What were you going to say? The only thing to be sorry about is not telling me the rest!
Meredith blushed furiously, not meeting Paisley’s eyes. I’m really sorry it’s none of my business. I just forgot to filter it. I was just thinking if you had a boyfriend or anything. I really shouldn't have been nosy about it.
Paisley smiled at Meredith. "No worries! But yeah, no I don't have a boyfriend, I don't think I'll have one anytime soon unless I decide to not be a lesbian, which is also not happening any time soon." It's hard not to be nosy or curious since we are literally in each other's heads.
Meredith looked up at Paisley in surprise. I wasn't expecting that. ”No girlfriend, then?”
Paisley's smile was still on her face while she shook her head. "Nope, I'm single as the last pringle in a can." She took another bite, almost done with the first half of her wrap.
Meredith snickered at the analogy. ”I have a hard time believing that about you. You're sweet, funny…” very cute, ”Anyone would be lucky to have you as a girlfriend.”
