"I love you," Ellie whispered back. "Let's dance some more, my darling. My feet aren't nearly sore enough as they should be for my wedding day."
"I love you," Ellie whispered back. "Let's dance some more, my darling. My feet aren't nearly sore enough as they should be for my wedding day."
Lori laugh at the comment and nodded. “Aye. Nor are mine.” she agreed, putting down the two bottles of rum down near her cabin.
Ellie followed suit and placed her bottle and glass down beside Lori’s. “Come, then, my love!” she declared taking Lori’s hand and lacing their fingers together. “And we shall dance as long as our feet shall keep us up!”
Lori held Ellie’s hand tightly and pulled her close, wrapping her other arm around her waist, once their hands were free, and started dancing to whatever song Drake was playing. Though as they danced, she carefully moved them away from the door towards the more open space on the main deck.
Ellie grinned and moved quickly in time to the music. This was much better than the stuffy royal balls she used to attend. Here, she could let herself move as she pleased instead of worrying about making the next correct step in a waltz.
Lori smiled brightly as she spun around with the love of her life, still being careful not to step on her toes. She had never learned how to dance “properly” before and had only learned to dance with wild abandon from her crew. It was such a liberating experience no matter what song was played.
Ellie was gasping for breath by the time they were standing still again. But through it all, she maintained her exuberant smile. "That was the most fun I've had in years," she murmured.
Lori had a matching smile as they stopped dancing for now, though she still had more energy. Perhaps from her more active lifestyle. “I’m so glad to hear that, love.” she whispered back, kissing Ellie’s forehead.
Ellie closed her eyes, still trying to catch her breath. "I'm sorry, darling," she said, a touch of embarrassment in her voice. "I might need a minute. I'm not as active as you've been."
Lori hugged her wife close and closed her eyes. “You don't have to apologize for that, darling.” she whispered. “Let's go sit down and rest for a moment. I think Drake needs a break from playing for a moment too.” she added with a chuckle.
“Alright,” Ellie whispered, leaning into Lori’s arms and relinquished herself to just being held by the love of her life.
Lori smiled at the sweet gesture before scooping Ellie up in a bridal hold before walking over to the stairs near where they had placed their drinks.
Ellie giggled and nuzzled her nose against Lori's neck. "I love when you carry me like this," she cooed, tracing the neckline of Lori's shirt with a light touch.
Lori chuckled softly at the affectionate gesture before kissing Ellie’s forehead. “Good.” she hummed as she sat down, still holding her bride on her lap. “Because I like holding you.”
Ellie grinned and burrowed into Lori's neck and hair. She mumbled something back that sounded like "I love you."
“I love you too, Ellie.” she whispered back, placing a soft kiss to whatever skin Lori could reach.
Ellie bit her lip, but a small moan still escaped her at Lori's lips found the base of her neck, right where she was sensitive.
Lori was surprised at the sound, for a moment, before smiling. She hadn't meant to find one of Ellie’s soft spots but she loved the sounds her wife made when she did. “Are you alright, darling?” she purred teasingly in her ear.
Ellie whimpered quietly at the tone Lori was using. The things she does to me, the former princess thought, closing her eyes to savor Lori's touch and kiss and whisper. "Yes," she replied meekly.
Lori chuckled and kissed Ellie’s cheek. “Do you want or need anything?” she asked without pulling away.
Ellie curled closer to Lori if that was even possible. "Yeah, you," she whispered back. "And also you."
Lori shivered at the response. “Eager to start the “honeymoon”, my dear wife?” she asked, all but pushing herself against Ellie.
Ellie melted into Lori's arms. "My darling, what kind of a question is that?" she murmured. "Why ask when you already know the answer?"
Lori hummed and nuzzled against Ellie. “Shall we then?” she whispered, more than willing to disappear into their cabin for a while.
Ellie grinned and kissed Lori's lovely dark hair. "We shall," she murmured softly. "Let the others celebrate a while longer. They deserve it too."
