Lori chuckled at the kisses. “I've actually been taken to drinking coffee in the mornings.” she admitted. “I think she mentioned the tea in case you weren't as interested in the coffee.”
Lori chuckled at the kisses. “I've actually been taken to drinking coffee in the mornings.” she admitted. “I think she mentioned the tea in case you weren't as interested in the coffee.”
“I adore tea,” Ellie replied softly, peppering Lori’s face with kisses lovingly. “But I adore you more, and I really don’t want to move now.”
Lori closed her eyes and hummed happily at all the affection. “I love you too. And I'm not sure I want you to go either.” she chuckled.
“So then let’s not,” Ellie purred, sealing her lips over Lori’s and wrapped her arms around the pirate’s neck.
Lori hummed, mildly surprised by Ellie’s bold action. Though she wasn't going to complain as she hugged her closer.
Ellie giggled into Lori’s mouth and pulled away. “You vibrated,” she teased, laughing at the feel.
“Did I?” Lori laughed softly, feeling her face warm. “I didn't realize.”
Ellie peppered Lori’s cheeks with kisses as she blushed. “You hummed, and you vibrated,” she teased, kissing the tip of her nose.
Lorelei chuckled at the kisses before trying to return as many as she could. Though she stilled for a moment at the last kiss. “How… interesting.” she whispered.
Ellie stilled at the pause between Lori’s words. “What do you mean by that, darling?” she asked quietly.
“Just that I don't recall vibrating when I hummed before.” she admitted. “I’m wondering why that happened or if it's just because of you.” Lori added with a small smirk.
"Because of me?" Ellie asked, beginning to blush. "I-I'm still not sure what you mean by that, dearest…"
“Well, I've never done that before just now with you. Or at least I've never noticed if I have.” Lori admitted. “So I think you might have some kind of effect on me.” she smirked, almost teasing.
Ellie's blush deepened. "I would hope so, my love. You certainly have an effect on me." She placed a soft, lingering kiss on Lori's forehead.
Lori’s smirk grew as she closed her eyes at the kiss. “I love you, Ellie.” she murmured, reaching up to give the princess a kiss of her own.
"I love you, Lori," Ellie replied softly, accepting the kiss and closing her eyes blissfully. She was completely relaxed and at peace with Lorelei.
Lori sighed softly, sharing in the peaceful moment. She didn't know how many of these moments they would have considering the usually chaotic adventurous life of a pirate and having Ellie’s father trying to track them down… But she was determined to enjoy every single second they had together.
Ellie wasn’t even thinking of the dangers. Yes, they pressed, nagging her in the back of her mind, but she refused to worry about them. She was here, now, with Lori. And by the stars, she swore, nothing would separate them again. They were meant to be. “I love you, Lori,” she repeated quietly.
“I love you too, Ellie.” Lori whispered back, almost chuckling at the repeated words. But truthfully she didn't mind. “Ellie…” she hummed before asking a very important question, “will you marry me?”
The princess almost didn't react. Eleanor was so enveloped in her lover that she would've missed the words if it weren't for Lori's brief pause to hum before them. She was about to tease her when instead her mouth dropped open, and her eyes shone with delight.
"Oh, stars!" she exclaimed, nearly toppling out of the chair if it weren't for her arms around Lori's neck keeping her steady. "Yes! Yes yes yes! A thousand times, yes!"
Lorelei grinned brightly back, relieved by the answer. “Oh, thank you. I was hoping you would say that.” she replied, still smiling. “Jax can perform the ceremony whenever you want. And it'll be legal.” she assured.
Ellie clapped excitedly. "Of course, what other choice is there?!" she cried. "Oh, Lori, that's wonderful! I can't wait! We're going to be married at long last!" She squealed with excitement before kissing Lorelei eagerly.
Lori chuckled as she retuned the kiss. “You could have asked to wait. Said that it was too soon after being reunited.” she replied softly, echoing the brief doubts that had been in her mind between her asking and Ellie’s answer.
Ellie shook her head fiercely, her newly shortened hair flying around her face. "That's ridiculous! Why would I have said that? I want to marry you, Lori! I've thought of marrying you for the past ten years!"
Lori sighed in relief, holding Ellie close. “I've been wanting to marry you from the moment Jax told me that we could.” she admitted. “I even have a… Wait! Give me a moment it. It's in my cabin.” she said excitedly as she moved to get up and gently letting Ellie stand up. “You finish your breakfast and I'll be right back.”
