“So did I, darling.” she smirked, kissing her forehead. “I think I have a robe or something from one of my travels in my closet that you can wear for now…” she winked playfully. “Just in case you want to pick up where we left off after you eat.” Lorelei didn't really like the way she answered the question but didn't press. It wasn't necessarily important anymore since she was always going to take care of the other woman.
"That would be wonderful," Aliana replied looking up at Lori her face still flush. She gently kissed Lorelei on the cheek not wanting to pull away quite yet. Aliana did though give Lori an inquisitive look at the mention of only Ali eating, "What about you? Have you had anything to eat today?"
Lori blushed a little at the question and shrugged. “I had an apple. I was so excited to see you again.” she admitted. “If it’ll make you feel better, Charlie probably sent enough for both of us judging by her comment about our energy.” she said as her blush darkened. “I still can't believe she said something like that in front of Tommy. She's usually very… protective of him. If anyone even implies something indecent, she… Well, you’ll see.” she chuckled, slowly starting to pull away.
"It would make me feel better if you had some," Aliana replied, and then she finally realized what the comment about energy implied. Her blush darkened to be even deeper than Lorelei's blush. She wasn't completely innocent, but she had been sheltered from a good portion of the more… Dirty subjects for most of her life. It was only the weeks after her engagement and up to the not-wedding was anyone finally ever allowed to talk to her about it. She let Lori pull away as she held up the front of her dress as she moved away towards Lori's closet, "I suppose I will see. Where is the robe you mentioned? I presume it is in your closet?"
“Alright.” Lori agreed with a soft smile as she moved to the door. “Aye. It should be on the far right.” she informed, hoping she had remembered correctly. “I don't wear it very often. But it's pretty soft and warm, especially on the deck at night.”
Aliana hummed as she grabbed onto the closet for stability and then rifled through looking for the robe. Once she had found the robe she finally let the dress and corset drop to the ground. She stepped out of the dress and her heels putting the robe on with one smooth movement. She was hesitant to walk around without shoes, but figured it would be fine, as she made her way to sit on Lori's bed.
Lori peeked out the door before opening it just enough to get the tray. Though she let out a laugh when she saw the slice of wedding cake on the side. “I wonder who stole that…” she murmured as she closed the door, making sure to lock it this time. “Alright. We got a bowl of soup, some bread, a couple pieces of chicken, and a bottle of water.” she informed, walking over to the bed.
Aliana was sitting with her legs bent and leaned to one side, typically princess posture. She let out a little laugh as well when she spotted the slice of cake. Whoever stole that deserved a gem from Aliana as thanks for taking the time to grab that. She smiled happily at Lori bringing the food over, "That should be enough for the both of us. I hope you do not mind sharing the bottle."
“Of course, I don't mind.” she assured, glancing at the two metal cups on the tray as she set it on the bed. “As long as you don't mind that the bottle is just a reused rum bottle.” she admitted. Lori straightened up and took off her weapons belt and hat, letting her wild black hair fall back down to just above her mid-back, and set them on the small bedside table. She smiled as she looked out the aft windows and saw nothing but open ocean. “Looks like we got away clear.” she smiled as she slipped off her coat and lay beside Aliana on the bed.
"That is fine with me," Aliana responded watching Lorelei. The rum bottle was probably cleaned out before being filled up with water, at least Aliana hoped so. Her softer smile turned into an absolute beam at Lori when she heard the news they had successfully gotten away. She moved a little so she was touching Lori in some way or fashion, "We did? Thank God. We can finally be together Lorelei."
Lori smiled back, nuzzling into the soft touches, and clasped Aliana's hand in her own. “We did it.” she confirmed softly before kissing the back of Aliana’s hand. “We’ll still have to be careful for a while, in case your father or that spoiled prince tries to catch up with us. But we got away.”
"I do not think they will try to catch up, but they will spread posters looking for your arrest and my return," Aliana relaxed against Lori. She reached for the tray and grabbed a piece of bread offering it to Lori. Aliana wanted to make sure Lori ate something before she did, since Lori was the one who rescued her, "We should be fine for quite some time."
Lorelei chuckled at the mention of the posters. “I’m almost flattered. Those things are often viewed as a sign of reputation amongst us pirates.” she explained before taking the bread and tearing it in half, which she gave back. “But I’ll take as much time as I can get with you. I am looking forward to introducing you to my crew and I know they're eager to meet you too.” she said blushing softly.
"They are? I hope you have not set their expectations too high," Aliana responded taking the bread back with a light blush. She nibbled on the bread lightly trying to build up to eating a bigger meal than she was accustomed to. She didn't expect Lori to laugh at the statement of posters, but given the nature of outlaws, it made perfect sense. She was enjoying the domestic nature of the moment, "And we can wait until we are ready to leave the cabin correct?"
“I’m not sure about their expectations but I do know that “stealing a Princess” is certainly going to attract the most attention.” Lori smirked. “I’m known but not greatly. Saving you, however, might push me into being “nefarious” to the public.” she chuckled as she took a bite of her bread, likewise enjoying the calm moment. Already things were going better than she had expected. “Oh, of course. Whenever you are ready.” she assured with a nod.
"I do not think you are nefarious. In fact, I think you are a hero," Aliana smiled back at Lori as she continued to nibble at the bread. She was really happy that Lori wasn't going to push her into things she wasn't ready for. But it was now up to Aliana to make sure she didn't push Lori back after all the consideration the other was giving Ali.
“Of course you do.” Lori smiled softly, brushing her hand against Aliana’s. “You know the truth. So do my crew and myself. But because your father is a king, most common people will believe his side. It's all a matter of how you look at it.” she explained. “I forget names but I heard stories of certain pirates who are considered heroes to their country but are hated by others.”
"Well, it would be unfortunate if a certain princess spread rumors about what really happened today," Aliana stated as she moved slightly to sit a bit more straight. She had a little smile on as she took Lori's hand in hers. If Aliana had her way, she would make sure everyone knew of her father's cruelness, "Then maybe you can join that list of heroic pirates."
Lori chuckled softly and sat up as well. “Aye. That would certainly get people thinking. It would be good to spread the truth but for the sake of the truth itself.” she admitted. “I don't mind the reputation I've made but I never really thought about trying to be a hero myself. Just a good and fair Captain to my crew. Honestly, they've become a family to me.” she smiled gently at the thought. “And this ship… More of a home than I've ever had.”
"And I cannot wait for it to become my home and family too," Aliana added after Lori was finished speaking. She took the chance of Lori sitting up to drape her upper half across Lorelei's lap. The food on the bed completely forgotten in favor of Aliana admiring her lover, "Even though I have not seen you with your crew for very long, I can tell they respect and appreciate you. You are a good captain Lorelei."
Lorelei blushed, not just at the compliment but at how Aliana was laying on her. If it were not for the innocent expression on her face, Lori would have thought she was trying to seduce her. Besides, there was no need for seduction between them. “Thank you, my love. I would certainly hope they do after today. Pirates don't usually kidnap people unless they're going to get a ransom out of it.” she admitted with a shrug. “But with how much I talk about you, after more than a couple bottles of rum, well… You'll be welcomed by everyone in no time.” she smiled, brushing her fingers against her blonde hair. “Would you like me to tell you about them so you’ll be on more even footing when you do meet?”
"Please do," Aliana hummed as Lori ran her fingers against her hair. Aliana's wish had been granted with Lori's hand in her hair as she looked up at Lori her eyes filled with love and adoration. She didn't mean to come off as seductive, she just wanted to be closer to Lorelei.
“Alright.” Lori nodded, smiling softly as she continued to stroke her hair. “We're not a big crew so, we all know each other pretty well. And you’ll get to know everyone too.” she assured. “Let's see… There's Jax, my first mate. He taught me everything I know about sailing and being a pirate. Though he wasn't one when we met. We kinda went into it together.” she chuckled a little. “He's practically a father figure to me.”
"Good, I do not think I could handle a big crew. I could hardly remember the names of all of the maids that were assigned to me," Aliana gently laughed as her eyes gently shut a smile on her face. She was paying attention to what Lorelei was saying, but the hand in her hair calmed her down immensely. She let out a soft hum of acknowledgement to Lori's second statement, "He sounds like a wonderful man."
Lori laughed with her at the comment on the difference between the staff she was familiar with versus the crew. “Fair enough.” she smiled as she thought of her crew. “Aye. He's a great man. He was a sailor… A lieutenant or something I think, but his ship got hit in a storm and he was the only survivor. I hauled him aboard and we've been working together since.” she told Aliana.
