"Great!" He was so glad that she agreed with him. Or did she? She seemed quite shy about it.
"Great!" He was so glad that she agreed with him. Or did she? She seemed quite shy about it.
Robin brushed her hair behind her ear. "Will that be all then?"
"Yes, I think so. How are you doing, Robin?" He checked his watch. Fifteen minutes before he had to leave.
"Oh, uh, I'm fine," she replied, relaxing slightly in the less-professional environment.
"That's good. I've had a good day so far. The vice president was very kind and we got along famously." Literally. He smiled.
Robin smiled politely. "I'm glad it went smoothly." She'd spent weeks agonizing with the staff over the details so he could have a good time.
"Thanks to you!" She's such a hard worker.
Robin blushed. He noticed? "It was nothing, sir. Just doing my job…"
"Very well indeed." He checked his watch again. "I have to go."
"Right, sir," she said, opening the door for him so he could leave.
"Thank you! Bye!" He waved goodbye to her like always and made his way down the hallway.
Robin smiled softly and waved slowly in return.
(Timeskip)
(Yep!)
Isaac entered Robin's office in jeans and a t-shirt. "Ready to drive to the airport? We'll get dinner on the way."
Robin looked up suddenly, startled. "Oh, is it…?" She checked the time. "I'm so sorry, sir– um… I mean, Isaac," she rambled as she saved her documents that were open and sorted the last of her papers into their respective files.
"It's fine. Take your time." His heart fluttered as he thought of eating at a restaurant together. It'd be like a- Of course not! They're just friends. Robin wouldn't like him anyway.
"No, it's my fault. I should've kept an eye on the time…" She could practically hear her mother's voice in the back of her head: "It's rude to keep people waiting, Robin…"
"Whatever you say. I've learned your typically the one who's right." He looked away as he finished his sentence, afraid of her reaction.
Robin paused and looked over at him. A pale blush rose on her face. "That's… That's very kind of you to say…"
"No, I'm just and honest person. So where do you want to eat. In the area there's a Red Lobster, Texas Roadhouse, Denny's, and Dog N' Sud?" He tried to quickly change the subject. If you accidentally say too much, gloss it over with a question and quick talking…
"Wherever you would like to go is fine with me," she replied, ducking beneath her desk and out of sight for a moment to retrieve a paper she dropped.
"Dog N' Sud it is! Have you ever been there?" She's in for a real treat.
"No–" She banged her head on her desk when she came up. "Oww…"
Isaac flinched. "Are you okay?", he asked.
"Yeah," she said, slowly lifting her head. She was blushing heavily and slid the paper into a folder. Stupid…
He tried not to laugh. "You don't have to be embarrassed. I do stuff like that all the time." Poor Robin…
