"Four… o… clock…" Robin said aloud as she wrote. She taped the notecard to the outer edge of her computer monitor, where it joined the many reminders that were already there. "Alright, done. Is there anything else that you need, sir?" she asked, looking up at him.
"Nope! Just some company!", he said cheerfully. The mansion was now empty besides them and one maid and he was a little lonely.
"Oh, alright," she said, getting back to searching for the letter she'd misplaced.
Isaac noticed a paper under her desk. "Looking for this?", he asked.
She gasped. "Yes! Thank you!"
He let out a relived sigh. "What's it for?", he asked curiously.
"Ah…" She read it quickly to make sure it was the right paper, then handed it to him. "You."
(It's confirming his vacation request.)
"Oh. That's right." He read the paper. When he finished reading he told her "I'm going to go to Tybee Island."
"Where's that, sir?" she asked, turning on her monitor to add his meeting to her calendar.
"In Georgia. Near Savana. Beautiful place…", he said, looking off into the distance.
"Sounds…" She trailed off for a second, reading the first couple lines of an email. "Sounds great, sir," she finished, looking away from the screen to meet eyes with him.
August felt butterflies in his stomach when he meet eyes with her. "You could come if you like."
Robin smiled, grateful for the offer. "I'd appreciate that, but I have too much work…"
"Don't worry about it. I'm your boss, so I can make it happen." He smiled and nodded.
"You don't have to do that," she replied quietly, looking back at her screen to finish reading the email.
"What if I want to? So far it's just me because Ray can't make it." He put on his best "pleeeaaase" face.
(Who is Ray?)
(Oh sorry. Best friend. Really who he dates, but for this roleplay he is his best friend.)
(Okay, gotcha!)
Robin looked away from her monitor again. "Alright, sir," she gave in.
"Unless you don't want to.", he sighed. Hanging around actors has made him quite the good actor too.
"No, I… I'll go. If it isn't a problem, sir," she said, waiting for his approval.
"It's not a problem at all! I even have that extra plane ticket that was meant for Ray! It's final now!", he said happily. Not too happily though. He didn't want her to think… know what he though of her.
Robin blinked. She hadn't expected him to agree, even though he did suggest that she come. "Thank you, sir," she replied formally.
"Of course. And while we're there, you don't have to call me sir. So are we able to go tomorrow?" He was glad that she said yes.
