(Also, Hyde being a surprisingly functional parent despite the whole giant hideous monster demon man thing and really caring about the kid, because Jekyll and by extension him never got to be parents and really love on a child.)

(Am I projecting my desire to raise children despite hating kids and romance and all that onto my characters? Yes. Yes I am. Anyways Hyde being super gentle and sweet with literally just the kid and being really a bastard to anyone who dares touch them.)

(Lol Mina would simultaneously be scared of the baby and also thinking it’s super cute. Efraim would sing it Jewish hymns hehe)

(I literally am in love with this idea lol.)

(Ehehisjisjie)

(What does this mean?)

(I am surprised and vaguely anxious)

(Ah. Sorry about that!)

Mina had been about to reply when Tom approached them. She knew what Sanger had been about to say, and was tempted to laugh. But, yes. She would laugh, and then kill him if he had said so.
She didn’t really mind Tom’s sudden arrival, though. It didn’t seem that he had been eavesdropping for that long.
“Go ahead, Sanger. Thank you for sharing.”

Efraim had found another corner. This time, they were sketching their view of the masts of the ship, reaching into the sky with the sails hanging onto them like a friend. Drawing was always better than trying to talk to people.

Sanger nodded to her, and left. He was suddenly feeling a chill down his spine, as if any of those moves could have been his last. He wandered around the ship for a while, looking for Nemo but finding nothing, the man seemed busy and he didn’t want to bother him after all. Not too much, that is. Eventually, he found a corner of the ship, of which he found something strange… a floating sketchbook. He grabbed it, and found he met resistance. “What the hell…?”

(Fools! I felt like Efraim was not getting enough attention and so I gave them attention myself!)

Oh no. A person. A person coming toward them. Efraim went very still, watching the man come closer and closer. When he attempted to grab the notebook, they quickly pulled it away and held it close. They wanted to explain themself, but no words could come out of their mouth. Quickly, they turned to a different page in the notebook and began writing a greeting. They held it up, the page simply reading, Hello.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Tom looked between the two of them, thinking. He was not yet certain what to say to them not, not really. This was all so strange and weird to him, and neither of these two were at all familiar to him. It made it difficult to talk to them when he could think of nothing they had in common.

“A ghost? A ghost!?” Sanger exclaimed. “Oh, I doubt the Captain will be too happy about a ghost on his ship.” he murmured. “Hello to you too. Mind explaining your afterworldly affairs to me?” he asked, leaning over. “Can you even understand me?” he wondered, stepping back somewhat.

(“A ghost!?” wait until this motherfucker meets Liz then he’ll really freak out.)

(Awww I love Efraim <3)

(i second that)

(Literally I cannot wait until Efraim and Jekyll meet. I think they'll be chemistry buddies in a weird way. Like, yes we did fucked up and evil experiments that caused us great emotional and liver damage, and what of it? But in Efraim's case it's more tragic and less funny that Jekyll's case.)
