He hummed. "I don't believe that's possible, darling."
She was grateful for the slowing, but didn't say anything about it.
He hummed. "I don't believe that's possible, darling."
She was grateful for the slowing, but didn't say anything about it.
“I know.” she admitted, smiling at the epithet. “I just don't like the idea of another hero beating you up.”
Sophie continued to slow down as they got closer to the bench before they were able to stop in front of it.
"It's already happened. It'll be fine." he replied.
Raven flopped down on the bench, panting a bit. "Jesus." she laughed faintly, running her hands through her hair. She was sweating already.
“I know it has and I know, from experience, that you can handle yourself in a fight.” she chuckled. “But I still don't like the idea of it happening again.”
“You ok?” Sophie asked, her own breathing a little heavy as she took a seat next to her.
He laughed faintly, kissing her cheek. "Yeah."
She looked over at Sophie. "Mhm. But, ah, might not run a ton on the way back. I don't have that kind of stamina."
She hummed softly, curling up next to him.
“That’s ok. I’ll pace myself better on the way back.” Sophie assured.
He kept holding onto her.
"It's fine! You're used to this, I'm not. No big deal."
“Doesn’t change my mind on that. Even though I know it's just wishful thinking.” she smiled softly, kissing his cheek.
“Still… I don't want to leave you behind.” Sophie shrugged, brushing back a strand of Raven’s hair.
"Yeah. It's alright, though."
She smiled a little bit. "I'll be okay."
“Maybe it would help if you laid off some of your threats.” she teased, not really expecting him to take her advice.
Sophie nodded, letting herself relax a little while Raven caught her breath.
He stuck his tongue out. "What if I don't want to do that?"
Raven gave her a quick, faint smile.
She chuckled, shrugging a little. “Just a suggestion, sweetie.”
Sophie smiled back, letting her head roll back. It almost looked like she could have been sunbathing.
He laughed a little. "Mhm."
She watched Sophie quietly, still breathing.
She smiled sweetly at him and kissed his cheek.
Sophie let out a soft, contented sigh as she closed her eyes for a moment.
He returned the kiss, smiling a little.
She was still taking deep breaths; it wasn't like she was out of shape, it was just that her muscles were from work-outs, not running.
She hummed softly, happily, and kissed him again.
Sophie didn't just run, of course, but she wasn't overly muscled either. She had taken some gymnastics classes when she was younger and did her best to stick with some of those exercises.
He returned the kisses with a soft smile, arms wrapped around her.
She closed her eyes, sighing very faintly.
She giggled a little and nuzzled against him.
Sophie cracked open her eyes and smirked at Raven.
He smiled, still kissing her.
She didn't open her eyes, just sat still.
She smiled and happily kissed him back.
Sophie's smile grew at the sight, stretching her arms out… before placing her arm behind Raven’s shoulders.
He kept holding and kissing her, still smiling a little.
Raven hummed, leaning her head on SOphie's shoulder.
She hummed a little as she kissed him, wrapping her arms around him.
Sophie chuckled softly and moved to sit a little closer, not caring if anyone saw them.
He rubbed her back gently, still holding her.
Raven smiled a bit, eyes still closed.
“That feels nice.” she hummed softly.
Sophie was grateful that Raven wasn't looking, otherwise she might notice the growing blush on her face.
"Good." he replied softly, smiling at her.
Her breathing had eventually slowed a bit more.
