She nodded a little bit. "Hey, a little is better than nothing. And, you could go back in the future, if you decided to." she replied, doing her best to reassure the other woman.
She nodded a little bit. "Hey, a little is better than nothing. And, you could go back in the future, if you decided to." she replied, doing her best to reassure the other woman.
“That’s true.” Sophie nodded, not really upset by her amount of education but it did feel a bit plain compared to Raven and Jade. “And there are correspondence courses as well I could look into.” she added with a smile.
"That too! And hey, no reason to go to college if you don't need to, y'know? I'm still paying off my loans."
“Right. I’ve heard those student loans are terrible.” she nodded, her smile growing.
"God, they're awful." she grumbled.
“Hey, if you need any help with paying them off…” she offered.
She raised an eyebrow at Sophie.
Sophie shrugged a little at the look. “I may not have a lot of money but I can budget well enough to help out.” she explained before blushing a little. “And I know how to get a little extra cash when I really need it.”
"I don't…I really appreciate the offer, Sophie, but I've got a handle on the payments." she replied, blinking at the other woman.
“Alright. If you're sure.” Sophie nodded. “But if you do need help… with anything, don't be afraid to ask. I'd be willing to help you.”
She was really just surprised by the offer. It was quite a thing to offer, especially when they didn't know each other all that well yet. "Alright, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks, Sophie."
“No problem.” Sophie smiled warmly. It was something Sophie and Jade had in common, and sort of bonded over. The fact that they considered each other generous and helping people. Though it wasn't always with money… the method of help often depended on the situation.
She smiled back, then took a bite of food.
Sophie smiled softly and turned back to her meal as well.
She took another bite of her gyro, doing her best not to spill it.
Sophie continued to work on her salad for a little while longer.
She kept eating.
She glanced up at Raven occasionally, giggling softly at the sight of her eating the gyro.
Raven was doing her best not to be messy, but it was rather difficult.
Sophie smiled as she set down her fork and picked up her gyro. Taking a big bite of it, she brought her hand up to catch a piece of filling hit her chin.
She laughed faintly at Sophie, smiling.
Sophie smiled a little brighter and laughed softly with her.
She smiled, looking at the other woman.
Sophie picked up her napkin and cleaned up a little, still smiling. “That must have looked silly.” she laughed at herself.
She nodded. "It did, but it's not a problem. It was cute."
