"I wasn't gonna." Kyle replied equally quietly. He took the smallest step backwards.
"Take out phones, values, anything you have on you that might be worth something, hurry up."
"I wasn't gonna." Kyle replied equally quietly. He took the smallest step backwards.
"Take out phones, values, anything you have on you that might be worth something, hurry up."
She could almost feel the city breathing, pulses of electricity each from their own source. Through this system she could sense most of what was happening, grabbing multiple security cameras at once. Everything seemed to be calm…scratch that, mugging on 5th street. She chuckled, the sound full of exhaustion, “You really keep me on my toes, don’t you Anesia?” With that, the Hero made her way into the dimly lit streets, time to do what she did best.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you pal.” Caleb shrugged, “plus you really think two college students have anything of value?”
"You might have phones? Come on, empty your pockets," The man pointed the gun towards Kyle, "Hurry or he dies."
Caleb gave a defiant snarl, he knew there wasn’t necessarily anything he could do right now. ‘Well we could…’ the thought was cut off by someone clearing their throat. Perched on top of a lamppost was Electrica. “Hiya! I’m gonna have to ask you to leave these people alone, sir.”
The man looked up at Electrica and glared, "Sorry, not gonna happen."
“Well that’s unfortunate.” You could just see her frown before the lamp went out with a brief flash of light, casting the street into darkness.
The man stumbled back and cursed, "Fine! Fine I'll go!"
“Too late for that buddy.” She was right in front of Kyle and Caleb, she’d barely made a sound.
Kyle jumped a little at the sound of her voice suddenly so close. The man, kept walking backwards away from her, "What are you gonna do?"
She didn’t respond. Bolts of electricity shot through the air, attempting to wrap around the guy. They were harmless enough, only meant to restrain people.
The man tried to avoid the grip of the electricity, but ended up failing. He still struggled in the hold og the electricity, though.
“You’ve lost, now could you please make my job a lot easier and just stop fighting back.” She sounded bored, or maybe tired.
The man snarled and struggled a little more before ultimately giving up, "Why don't you just get a different job if this one's too hard."
“That’s simple, this city needs someone to protect it from people like you. Now come on, lets get you to the police station.”
"Thanks, Electrica," Kyle spoke up, "We appreciate it."
She smiled slightly, turning to look at them “You two be safe now, okay?”
Caleb nodded in agreement. “Thank you.”
"We will, thank you again." Kyle gave her a small smile.
She smiled again before taking back off into the distance, towing the mugger behind her.
Kyle released a breath and rested his head on Caleb's shoulder, "Well that was an experience."
“Are you okay?!” He asked in concern, completely losing his cool as soon as Electrica was gone.
Kyle nodded, "Yeah, I'm cool. Get it, 'cause I have ice powers…" He chuckled to himself.
He took a deep breath ‘nothing actually happened, he’s fine.’ “Very clever” he said sarcastically. “Well, I was gonna shoot that guy anyway…but I’m still glad Electrica showed up.”
"You don't have a gun, Caleb." He muttered, moving slightly so he could give him a look. Damn, his tiredness was finally catching up with him.
He raised an eyebrow and pulled a pistol out of his pocket. “You really have no idea how paranoid I am do you?”
Kyle blinked a few times, "Damn, okay. Good to know I shouldn't piss you off."
