Anya nodded. “Makes sense. Do we have bread?”
Anya nodded. “Makes sense. Do we have bread?”
"Uh…" Spencer looked in the cupboards again. "Nope."
“Well, there goes that idea,” Anya sighed. “Do we have canned peaches?”
"Yup," Spencer took a can out and set it down on the counter. "Do you have a plan?"
“Nope. I’ve just always liked canned peaches,” Anya smiled, picking up the can and tossing it in her hands.
Spencer chuckled and found a can opener. "Here, have at 'em. There are forks over there," he said, gesturing to a drawer by the sink.
“Thanks,” Anya said, using the can opener and walking over to the drawer to get a fork. “What’re you going to have?”
"Um… I think some of the chicken with carrots. I'll stick it in the microwave for a bit so I'm not just eating luke-warm food," Spencer chuckled.
“Sounds good,” Anya laughed, happily eating peaches.
Spencer grabbed a couple of cans and a plate, then put the food in the microwave for a few minutes.
"So, how're your peaches, Peaches?" he asked Anya, smirking.
“Delicious, thanks,” Anya smiled. “Do we have any more? These are the good kind. You know, the ones with added sugar.”
"Yeah, they're in that cupboard. Feel free to eat an many as you want," Spencer said, pulling his now-hot food out of the microwave. "Mm… Reheated chicken and peas… My favorite…"
Anya laughed, scraping out the van and putting it in the garbage can. As she walked over to the cupboard to get more pears, she said, “You can share my peaches, if you want.”
Spencer smiled. "No, you can have them. I'll throw a can of sweet potatoes onto a baking sheet and pop it in the oven."
(I'm internally laughing at Rose in TP&TH RP.)
//I just read that lol
It’s grate
(Lol. Isn't it?
Do you realize you spell 'great' wrong?
Or is that on purpose?)
//‘twas purposeful
(Ah, okay.
I was wondering because I was like, "Does she know she does that? Or what?")
Spencer smiled. "No, you can have them. I'll throw a can of sweet potatoes onto a baking sheet and pop it in the oven."
“Ooh, my aunt used to make that,” Anya said, opening her second can of peaches. “It’s yummy.”
"Yeah. My mom used to make it for me when I was younger," Spencer explained quietly, turning so that he wasn't facing Anya.
Anya nodded wordlessly. She sensed that she had accidentally breached a sensitive subject. “Are you sure you don’t want peaches? They’re really good.”
Spencer shook his head as he looked for the sweet potatoes. "No, I'm good. Thanks, though," he said, pulling out a can from one of the cupboards. He searched for a baking sheet and managed to find one under the stove. Turning back to Anya, a false smile on his face, he asked, "Could I use that can opener, though?"
“Of course.” Anya handed the can opener to Spencer, searching his eyes.
