Eden let go so they could both use both hands. She didn’t know what to say, so she didn’t say anything at all.
He looked up at her and smiled
She gave him a smile in return. “How is it?” She pointed to his plate.
'It's good.'
“Good. Good.” She said, taking another bite.
'Wanna try it?' he typed.
“Sure.” She agreed, although unsure of how she was supposed to go about doing that.
He put some up to her mouth then opened his.
She assumed he meant to eat it like that, so she did. It was good. “Ooh, it is good.”
He nods smiling like a goofball.
She laughed, trying to keep the food in her mouth. She held her hand up to cover her mouth. Her leg stopped bouncing, and she somehow got closer to him despite there being a table in between.
He laid his hand down hoping she'd hold it.
She took his hand again. “I wish we could do this everyday.”
he spoke. "T-That would be nice…"
“Yeah. It would be. But I have work. You probably have…other stuff. And y’know. Money, as well. I know I can’t afford to go out every night, or do much of anything habitually. I only go to that coffee shop during really good weeks. If there was an infinite amount of money and time, I wouldn’t hesitate to do this with you everyday. But, realistically…it’s just not feesable.” She said, very disappointed.
'We can do it every once in a while'
“Yeah. Of course.” She sighed, “I don’t know. I just really want to get to know you. I think that would make things easier, I think. But that doesn’t make sense, does it?”
'No, it does'
Eden nodded. “And I’m sure that will come with time. I’m just being impatient. I just want it to be now. I just need to calm down and be patient. After all, Patience is a virtue.”
He smiles. 'Truth.'
Eden snorted, “It is. Despite it’s religious affiliation.”
'Are you religious?'
“No,” she said shaking her head. “No, I used to be, though. A long time ago.”
'Cool. I was never really religious.'
“Saved yourself the trouble, in my opinion.” She took another bite of her food. She started to think about why she left, though she didn’t want to. She pushed the thoughts down.
