A seemingly normal person in a somewhat normal world meets a person who showed up out of nowhere outside of their house. The catch being this person happens to work for a government, so having someone random show up is..a bit concerning, especially if you look at the way they’re dressed.
So what should you do when you see someone who’s story makes no sense? Report them? Direct them somewhere else? What would you do?
I guess we’ll find out, won’t we.
So basically.
Person A works for the government. Person B is from a different universe, somehow ends up in Person A’s universe in the forest in the back of their house. Chaos probably happens.
- This will be a romance of some sorts. I’d prefer it to be straight. I generally play a male character, and I will be for this RP. You’ll probably need a girl for this.
- Probably going to be a lighter RP in some areas, but in other areas, it won’t be as much. Keep this in mind.
- Some forms of violence is probably to be expected. Blood as well. Just remember, there’s a time and place for everything.
- Swearing is allowed.
- No one liners. They’re very tricky (for me) to respond to.
- This list is subject to change, so keep that in mind.

I’ll also start by saying I’d prefer to be Person B.
Heyyy, this seems cool, may I?
No problem! Feel free to ask any questions and submit your character whenever.
Litty, I'll do that now, also, does my character have a specific job inside the government you want them to have or?
Not that I can really think of, no. I’ll leave that pretty much open ended.
Name: Florin Strotz
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Nationality: Swiss
Appearance: Florin does not look like an average person. The gear he wears obviously is made to protect him against..whatever; it’s made to protect him against something. It’s dark in colour, like a charcoal grey shade. He’s also got some sort of bullet vest. And helmet. It doesn’t cover his face, although the lower half of his face is covered, and Florin seems to be particularly stubborn about not revealing his visual identity. Sometimes he wears gloves. Sometimes he doesn’t. He also wears boots.
What one can yield out of his physical appearance person is that he’s tall at 6’3 and lightly muscled. Fair skin, and dark blue eyes. He’s got a tattoo on his left wrist, though it’s not a fancy one: just a set of numbers as follows: 6734.
Personality: Florin may have a somewhat intimidating appearance and ‘aura’, but he’s actually not like that for the most part. 95% of the time he’s quite nice, actually! He’s gentle and curious, often generous and protective. He can be unforgiving though, to those he deems ‘threatening’ or ‘untrustworthy’.
For the other 5 percent of the time, he’s the complete opposite of what I said about him being nice. He doesn’t really like to be aggressive, either in most cases. He’ll avoid violence if possible, but certain things can push him to resort to it.
Background: Wherever Florin came from, it wasn’t a good place. He doesn’t speak much of it unless asked. A brief summary is that he was in..let’s call it a forest, something happened - he blacked out, woke up in another forest and quickly realized he was alone. And probably not in the same place as he was previously. Now he has a lot to figure out.
Other: More than likely has a few things up with his mind, but it’s hard to determine. ‘Sorry’ is a pretty common word for him to say.
Name: Elliana 'Ellie' Gordan
Age: 21
Gender: female
Sexuality: bi-sexual
Nationality: Welsh-English
Appearance: Ellie has blonde hair that falls to just above her breasts, her roots are a darker blonde but it isn't by much. She has pale skin with pink under tones and she doesn't tan, ever. She has big, baby blue eyes that are rimmed with a dark blue and they stand out against her pale skin. She has a heart shaped face with a few freckles littered other her cheeks. Her nose is button shaped and her lips are a pale pink. She has a strong jawline and a nice smile with freakishly white teeth. She is around 5'6, maybe slightly shorter. She'd wear heels but she resents them. She has a good body, strong and skinny but not unhealthily so.
Personality: Ellie is a very kind and caring person, to the people she's friends with, at least. She is very strong, fierce even most of the time. She takes her work very seriously and is very dedicated to it as well. She's a good fighter, she tries to be, anyway. she is actually a pretty good fighter although she doesn't get the chance to fight all that often. Ellie tends to keep her personal life and history very private, there aren't many people who know about it. She is able to open up to people but she doesn't do it often.
Background: Ellie grew up in Doncaster, England until she was around 11 years old. She lived with her mother, father and older brother, Colby. Unfortunately, her parents weren't the best of people, abusing her and Colby up until she was ten. Luckily they were caught and charged and her and Colby were adopted by a family in America. They moved and had quite a nice life there. Colby became a popular singer and moved away, constantly being on tour with his band. Ellie ended up getting a job in the government, working as a spy/detective and looking into the unknown and the strange that the government can't quite explain.
Other: Ellie suffers from depression. Due to the things that happened in her past she was diagnosed with the mental illness about a year or two after she moved to America and has been dealing with it ever since. She also has a tattoo of the constellations Virgo and Sagittarius on her back to cover up a shit load of scars.
(She okay?)
(Yup! Do you want to start first, or should I?)
(Alright! I’ll work on something now.)
Florin was not expecting to wake up in..a place that looked pretty much the same as the one he was at before. But it wasn’t the same, and Florin could tell already. The air was different, the noises he heard were as well. It seemed so peaceful.
And then he realized he was alone.
Florin wasted no time in getting up, checking his surroundings for any people. He was in a group before this, so something obviously happened to them. Or maybe something happened to Florin. Still, no matter how close he looked to the dirt, Florin could not see any tracks. How long was he out? Maybe the tracks had faded away?
Maybe there just weren’t any to begin with.
Florin was distracted by a bird that had flown down to a tree branch still a little ways above him, but close. He watched it, and then proceeded to realize another thing: where he was from, all of the birds had migrated to a more peaceful area. Where the hell was Florin? The bird took off shortly after.
He quickly did a check over himself. He wasn’t injured or anything that he could see from, so at least that was good. Florin looked up again. He wasn’t going to get anywhere by not moving. So he decided he’d get a move on. Perhaps he could look at some landmarks. That would tell him where he was. And maybe he could find his way to a safer spot.
He wasn’t too deep in the forest, but he also froze when he saw the back of what seemed to be a structure. What irked Florin the most about it was the condition. It was..perfect. Not like anything Florin had seen before. Did someone maintain it? Did someone live here? Most other buildings were often overgrown with grass and vines where Florin was from.
On the note of someone possibly living here, Florin continued moving around much more cautiously; although he did seem a bit more curious now as he glanced around, inspecting each and every thing he could see.
Elliana had never been one to enjoy the company of other people. It was one of the reasons why she enjoyed her work so much. A lot of it she could complete on her own. Of course, there were days, like today, for example, where she wanted the company. It was one of those slow days at work. One where there hadn't been anything interesting to investigate so it was more of a lounge around do nothing and try and get away with it type of day. Not very exhausting was socialising was.
Ellie had deliberately picked a house away from the rest of the city to avoid just the thing. it was a very nice, three bedroom cabin in the forest and one she loved dearly. Huge floor to ceiling windows looking out into the backyard. It was tranquil.
She'd be home all of five minutes before she realised something seemed off. She'd slung her coat over the coat rack, and headed into the kitchen to grab something to eat before a night of relaxing and watching Netflix.
But when she turned the lights on in the main living space, she saw the shadow lurking in her backyard and pulled out her gun.
Ellie slid open the back door. Of course, she could be overreacting. It might just be a deer or something but she was an anxious person half the time. She narrowed her eyes at the garden, pointing her gun at where she'd noticed the shadow. Did she shoot? Or wait until it maybe tried to attack first or run?
Florin seemed to be getting more confident with his surroundings, until something felt weird. Well, it was a familiar, yet distant feeling he had just recalled.
One that screamed danger at him.
Freezing up as Florin had moments earlier, he went still, glancing around to see what was around him. Was there someone in the forest? He couldn't see, or hear. It was only when he looked at the structure did he realize a light had gone on, and someone was there. He couldn't quite make them out.
To Florin, any stranger you didn't know, especially at night usually meant bad business. He stayed still for a couple more seconds, before lowering himself carefully to the ground, not wanting to alert any other things that might be lurking out here. You never know. Florin never knows, either. He hopes they'll just think he's a trick of the…night? Or a wild animal or something; even if as far as he knows the animals are all in hiding. Although, for some reason there do seem to be animals around here. Florin was..confused at that aspect.
But confusion was not his focus. His main focus was keeping as still and quiet as possible.
Ellie shot once in the general direction of the shadow. She knew now that it was probably a person. Who the hell would be sneaking around in her backyard at ten o'clock at night? It was times like these where she wish she had a flash flight.
"Who's there?" She called out, slowly walking down onto the grass, "If you come out now I won't shot again."
Any sane human being would coming out with their hands in the air. Or maybe it was Ellie who was going crazy and it was actually a deer who had just stumbled into her yard. A common occurrence and one she didn't mind but no, her gut was telling her it was a human.
She silently cursed herself for not turning on the outside lights. Damn she needed to go to bed earlier from now on if she was going to start making stupid mistakes like that.
Florin once again, went very very still when the shot flew past him. Why was he getting shot at? Was he in enemy territory? Was he at risk? So many questions, and so little time.
Florin never dealt well with stressful situations such as this. He was a much better follower than leader; always used to taking orders, not giving them out. And especially with that shot; when would the next one come? It was a warning, Florin decided.
When the voice came out in English, Florin paused, giving himself a moment. Not many people spoke English where he came from. While he knew the language, there wasn’t too much of a use for it..though Florin was most likely glad that he knew it right now.
Think Florin, think.
Coming out seemed like the safest decision. He still had many questions without their answers; like how many people were out here. As far as he was concerned, there was only the other person and him, but who knows.
Florin sat up, backing up as he slowly got up. He probably looked pretty creepy in the dark, especially in the way he was dressed. Although it was definitely hard to make his details out as of now. He knew the person was outside at this point, moving towards him. It was now or never.
“Y-yes, don’t..don’t shoot. Please.” His voice came out a bit more shaky than he intended. He was never good at keeping his emotions from his voice, after all.
Ellie narrowed her eyes, taking a step forwards. Male, it sounded like. Unless it was just a female with a very deep voice.
"Come into the light."
She lowered her gun ever so slightly, still on guard but not as much as she had been a few seconds ago. Whoever it was sounded, slightly scared if she guessed correctly. Yes she shot at him but there was no need to be that scared.
The quicker she got to the bottom of this the better. It was too late for some random turning up in her backyard and snooping around. Hopefully he hadn't been planning on robbing her home, good thing she caught him before he tried.
Florin awaited a response, which didn’t take long. He soon received the order to come into the light. Okay. That was a decent start.
He seemed to hesitate as he glanced behind him, back into the forests. Maybe his squadmates were still out there, looking for him. Maybe not. But it was night, and it wasn’t good to be out at night; at least, from what Florin had been taught. His best bet was just to comply.
Florin slowly walked closer, into the light.
Ellie lowered her gun when she finally saw who it was. Confusion hit her first. What was he wearing? It was nothing she'd ever seen before, at least. Was he Russian? Some spy come to try and weasel information from her? No, that accent wasn't Russian.
"Who are you? What are you doing in my back yard?" She tilted her head slightly, looking him up and down. He could take her down easily if he tried. If he was here for info then he would have tried by now.
Florin eyed the gun warily before making his response. “It’s 6734,” he says, almost impulsively; but realizes this stranger probably has no idea what he means by that. He quickly corrects himself by saying “Florin Strotz. Ignore what I said before.”
He glances at her again, removing his focus from the weapon, although he’s definitely nervous. It’s not the first time Florin’s been shot at, although this one was just a warning shot. He attempts to calm himself.
Florin seems to take a few more seconds to respond to the second question. “I was..looking for people. Yes, looking for people. I seem to be lost though, giving I’ve ended up in your..backyard.” He goes over the word ‘backyard’ as if it’s an alien word to him.
“Where is this place, if you don’t..don’t mind me asking?”
6734? The hell does that mean? Ellie placed her gun away, crossing her arms over her chest and raising a brow.
"You couldn't have sounded more suspicious if you tried," She sighed, "Well, this is America, Earth, 2020 and you're at my house which, somehow you don't know how you ended up here," She explained, gesturing to the back of her house, "So, Florin, should I report you to the police, or let you in to explain yourself?"
Florin was about to respond, but as he thinks more on it, he realizes that some of those words don’t match up with what he knows. America? 2020? Florin was on a completely different continent, last time he checked. And probably one of the more peculiar parts of it…
I’m in the future?
It’s rather clear he’s thinking about something as he takes a bit longer to respond. He knows that he’ll probably sound even more suspicious if he just goes, oh yeah, I’m from the year 2010, nearly ten years in the past, and somehow I ended up in America, even though I was in South America last time I checked.
Florin decides not to say that. But he knew something was very wrong about this whole situation.
He’s probably pretty suspicious at this point with how long he’s staying silent, but he speaks up fairly quickly once he’s done thinking.
“No, no, no, nein,” his voice drifts off as he seems to switch to speaking a different language, although he speaks up as soon as he stops speaking it, “Bitte..Please don’t call them. You’ll only make this situation worse for me.”
“I’m not supposed to be here,” he turns around slightly, gesturing at the dark forest behind them, “not there, either. I didn’t know there were houses out here. The people I was with vanished, and a lot of thinks really don’t match up right now, so please, don’t call them.”
"Clearly you're not supposed to be here since this is private property," Ellie raised a brow at what she knew was German.
So, not a Russian spy but maybe a German one.
This whole situation sounded very suspicious and insane. But that was what she dealt with so it didn't freak her out as much as it might someone else. Whoever this Florin was he clearly was in some kind of bad situation wherever he came from, judging from how he reacted to her saying she'd call the police.
People vanishing was just crazy. Unless he'd been kidnapped and drugged and dumped in her back garden. Or maybe it was something else. No, she wasn't at work right now she didn't have to figure it out.
"Well then, since I can't call the cops, you'll have to come inside and… try and explain what's going on," Ellie turned on her heel and headed up the stairs back to her house, turning over her shoulder to say, "You'll have to take that mask thing off though otherwise you can stay out here in the dark."
