Jamie hadn't finished writing when Sherry's wrist began to glow. He looked to it in shock, tilting his head. "What did you do?" He asked softly, gently taking the other's hand and studying his wrist.
“I didn’t do anything,” Sherry whispered, glancing at Jamie. “I think…”
"Sh-Should I finish writing your name on my wrist?" He asked softly, lifting the pen and biting his lip. He gently finished off the y, looking to Sherry before he lifted the pen off his skin.
Sherry nodded a little, glancing down at Jamie’s wrist as it exploded in burgundy and ice blue. Raising his eyebrows and taking a sip of wine, Sherry finally commented.
“Well then.”
Jamie's eyes went wide he looked to Sherry then back to his wrist. His brain hadn't quite made the connection yet. "What…? I'm confused…" He mumbled.
“You’re my soulmate, darling.” Sherry purred, sipping some more wine and then setting his glass down, glancing at Jamie to see his reaction.
His brain whirred in his head, trying to connect the strings. He looked at Sherry then to his wrist, blinking in surprise. “No way…. I’ve searched too many years… it’s… no way.” His face flushed a bright red at the realization. He was sitting in his apartment suite, with his soulmate, drinking wine.
“I mean, it’s kind of hard to be skeptic now. I’ve been to hundreds of different planets and this is the first time something’s happened. “It’s fitting, too.”
Jamie stuttered, hiding his red face. “Look at that… I found my soulmate…” he murmured. “I don’t know how to react.”
“I do.” Sherry grinned and kissed Jamie lightly on the cheek, afterwards taking another sip of his wine.
Jamie giggled softly, slowly uncovering his face, which was now the same color of a tomato. “God you should have visited Earth sooner, soulmate.” He joked, taking a sip of his wine to try and steady his nerves. It didn’t work too well.
Sherry rested his head on top of Jamie’s in an attempt to calm him down. “I might just have to stay, then.”
“Please do! You can stay here with me! I have an extra bedroom I’m not using!” He said quickly. “We can get to know each other a little more before we explore other areas.”
“Of course.” Sherry smiled softly at him. “My hotel booking was almost up anyway.”
Jamie grinned happily. Now that the initial shock was starting to wear off, he was feeling that joy one got from discovering their soulmate. “Does this mean I get to date you?”
“Get to? Jamie, darling, you have to!” Sherry exclaimed with a grin, sipping his wine and kissing the top of his head.
Jamie grinned back, giggling softly at the kiss. "So, my soulmate, should we celebrate by getting black-out drunk?" He asked, grabbing his cup and lifting it to his lips for a sip. "It only took about a million galaxies and a crap ton of years but here we are."
Sherry laughed. “Of course then, darling,” He responded suavely, sipping his wine.
He shivered slightly at Sherry's tone, biting his lip. "How did I end up with someone so attractive as my Soulmate?" He asked mostly himself, tilting his head and snuggling into Sherry's side.
Sherry glanced down at him, grinning. “You know it’s not fair when you bite your lip like that,” He argued. “Very attractive.” One could hear the grin in his voice.
"Mm, maybe I should bite my lip more often then." He smirked, pushing his face close to Sherry's. He felt hot and slightly flustered but ignored the heat. "What else do you find attractive? I'll be sure to do it more often."
“Most things,” Sherry purred, tilting his head with a small smile.
Jamie pouted, resting his head on Sherry's shoulder. "That doesn't help me." He said jokingly, chuckling.
Sherry grinned to himself, knowing exactly what to do. He closed the distance between them and kissed Jamie on the lips. “Perhaps your reaction to this,” He murmured.
Jamie gasped softly, blushing. He bit his lip, staring at Sherry's face before he grabbed his cheeks and pulled him back in for a deeper, longer kiss.
