"Oww….." Lionel complained loudly, tucking his legs beneath him. Sweaty and panting, he wiped his forehead, wincing slightly.
"You asked for it," Sebastian breathed out, chest heaving as he lay next to Lionel, the sheets half off to try and keep from overheating
"Yeah, and it was great." Groaning, he rubbed his eyes. "Just didn't expect it to hurt this much."
Just then, three sharp knocks sounded from the door.
Sebastian went to respond, but was cut off by the knocking. "Fuck, who the hell..?" he groaned, grudgingly sliding out of bed before putting some pants on and making his way to the door
Lionel simply sank beneath the sheets to cover himself, having no energy to get dressed.
Sebastian grudgingly looked through the peephole, only to want to absolutely die at the sight of Valentina on the other side. With a sigh, he opened the door, revealing a stunning woman dressed in an expensive but not too flashy dress and fluffy coat. She looked Sebastian up and down for a moment, disapproval clear in her gaze. "Where's the tramp?" she asked, pushing past him into the apartment
From beneath the covers, Lionel turned his head towards the sound of a woman speaking. "Sebastian?" he called, "Who's there?"
"Ah! There he is," Valentina cooed, sarcasm dripping from her tone as she walked into the bedroom, high heels clicking against the hardwood floor. And when she walked into the bedroom to find Lionel obviously post-coital, her grin seemed to reflect the sarcasm in her tone. "This is your new fling? He looks like a hobo you plucked off the street," she scoffed
Lionel pulled the covers further up his chest, shock contorting his features. He recovered quickly, face hardening, voice cold when he spoke. "Nice to meet you too."
"At least he has quick recovery time," Valentina muttered with a roll of her eyes. Sebastian shot her a look, resisting the urge to smack her as he pulled on a random shirt.
"Stop being an asshole, he didn't do anything to you," he muttered, to which Valentina scoffed at.
"He took you away from work. That's something," she hissed
"Not to butt in on any huge fight…." Lionel muttered, "But I sort of need to get dressed, and I can't do that with her here." He addressed only Sebastian, not even bothering to look at the woman.
"Don't bother, tramp. I won't be here long," Valentina hissed, but was cut off from continuing by Sebastian grabbing her by the arm and dragging her out the door
Tramp. Hobo.
Her words hurt much more than they should have. Lionel knew he wasn't in the best situation financially, and growing up partially on the streets had given him a certain insecurity…
Sebastian manhandled Valentina into the living room, and she went to yell at him before he cut her off. "You do not get to say that shit to him. I don't care how much you hate my boyfriends, I don't care how much you hate me for my decisions, you do not get to do that to him," he snapped quietly. She just raised a brow, arms folded as she looked up at him.
"You know what you're doing, and you're an idiot for it. You know what I have to do just to keep half the gang from kicking your ass to hell and back? Mom's rolling in her grave right now," she spat
Lionel drew his knees up to his chest and exhaled slowly. Bits and pieces of the heated argument were audible, enough to give away the situation.
"You don't get to talk to me about her, you two faced demon," Sebastian snapped. "Last time I checked, I was there when she died. Where the hell were you, hm? Doing lines with those fake friends of yours and that ex boyfriend that I caught trying to steal her ring two months later?" Valentina took a step towards him, getting right in his face.
"You take that back," she hissed. "You knew I was on business, you knew what dad had me doing. And you're a damn coward for thinking less of me for doing my job like you should be, instead of fucking some street dog who I know is going to break your heart just like Emilio did. And at least Emilio had the class not to ask for your money," she bit back
Lionel’s eyes widened as more and more of the argument reached his ears. It was wrong of him to be eavesdropping like this, but he couldn’t stop.
Street dog.
Break your heart. Emilio. Dead mother.
Sebastian fell quiet for a moment, a cold fury in his eyes. All warmth that Lionel may have seen in him before had faded, replaced by someone cold and unforgiving and angry. "Get out," he said firmly, pointing towards the door. "Get out before I smash your face in," he told her, voice dangerous and low. And Valentina stood there for a moment, an unreadable expression that bordered on sadness and a fury of her own on her face. And without a word she turned on her heel, opening the door and slamming it shut behind her
Lionel flinched at the loud sound, but otherwise stayed still, attempting to process the new j formation.
Sebastian stayed standing there for a minute, that same cold expression on his face. But slowly, he began to relax, and after a few more minutes he composed himself enough to slowly make his way into the room again
Lionel trained his eyes on Sebastian as he entered, the woman’s shouts still reverberating in his ears. “Are you—Are you okay?”
Sebastian seemed to tense a little at the question, but he ignored it, instead forcing a visibly pained smile. "Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine," he said softly, though his voice sounded like it was threatening to break. But he did his best to ignore it, instead slipping back in bed with Lionel
“I’m guessing that was your sister?” Lionel asked quietly, reaching for Sebastian’s hand.
