Sebastian watched Simon warily, not too keen on leaving. He had just met this guy, he didn't want to leave and risk something happening

Lionel shoved his shaking hands into his pockets and inclined his head towards his bedroom without another word. Once Simon was gone, he turned to Sebastian. “I just—I just need a moment to talk to him.” His voice broke. “Just a few minutes.”

Sebastian nodded after a moment's hesitation. "If he tries anything, I might not give him a warning shot," was all he said before sitting down on the couch

Nodding, Lionel slipped away, biting his bottom lip.

Sebastian watched as Lionel walked away, summoning his guns so he would have something to fidget with. He found himself glad for the decision to get a magic tattoo once again, if only because he needed a distraction

"Lionel," Simon breathed as he entered the bedroom, shutting the door firmly behind them.

"Where have you been??" the werewolf immediately demanded, distress slipping into his voice. "What did they do to you??"

Simon averted his mismatched eyes. "A lot…" he whispered finally. "I ran. Moved up near Seattle."

"And you didn't think to send me anything? Word that you weren't dead?" Lionel had begun to pace the room, waves of nervous energy rolling off of him. "And why show up now? After three years?"

The other man fell silent for a long time, until…. "I was afraid. I tried to start over. I–I met someone, it was working… but…"

Lionel waited for him to finish, but he never did.

"You know what, this was a mistake. I'm sorry for disrupting you. Have a nice life."

Sebastian idly wondered if Lionel would be angry if he listened to his conversation. He was worried, and that Simon guy really looked messed up
