(sorry, i was sick yesterday so didnt really get on my laptop)
Amelia smiled, then her smile was interrupted by a loud knock on the doors of the throne room.
"Queen Amelia! Queen Amelia!" A voice called through, recognised as her advisor.
"Yes! What are you after?"
"You need to greet your subjects at the balcony!"
Amelia sighed. "Coming!" She turned to Theodosia. "Would you…come with me?"
Theodosia flinched when someone started knocking on the doors of the throne room loudly. Her smile faded away when she heard the voice of Amelia's advisor. She strongly disliked the man. She thought he was a complete idiot. She sighed and turned to Amelia. "Yeah, of course."
(hi sorry ive been super distracted with school and doing modules for work)
Amelia smiled, walking towards the door. She placed her hand on the ice keeping it closed and the ice faded away, almost as if it was retreating into her hand. She turned back and held her hand out to Theodosia. "Shall we, my love?"
(Sorry for not responding earlier, I've been more focused on getting my grades up)
Theodosia looked with awe as Amelia made the ice faded away. She knew it shouldn't have awed her, seeing since she's been friends with Amelia for a while now. She smiled as she took Amelia's outstretched hand. "We shall, my love."

Amelia followed her advisor towards the balcony, her fingers interlaced with Theodosia's. When they reached the balcony, she turned around. "Just wait here. I shouldn't be too long."
She gave Theodosia a peck on the cheek, then walked to the edge of the balcony to look over at her subjects. She smiled and waved for a few moments before preparing to give her Queen's Address.
(It's fine. I've been distracted too)
"Of course," Theodosia said with a smile. She watched as Amelia walked to the edge of the balcony. She knew that any moment now, she was going to give her Queen's Address, and she would be lying if she said she wasn't excited to hear it. The Kingdom was quite lucky to have a person like Amelia ruling over them.
"Hello, citizens of Oscana. I'm sure that this is a great day for many of you. It has been 30 years since there was a new ruler on the throne. 30 years since our kingdom felt happy and safe. 30 years since my father began to ruin this kingdom."
She looked at her subjects. "I'm aware that some of you are not comfortable with having me as your Queen. Not comfortable with a woman being the only one on the throne. Not comfortable with me not marrying and giving you a new King."
There were some whispers and some visible nods in the audience. And others pretty much didn't care if Amelia decided to marry or not. After all, it was her life, not theirs. Theodosia looked down at the others and wondered what Amelia was going to say next. She knew the only reason why those people were being civil was that Amelia was talking and she was right there.
"I'm standing here telling you…" Amelia glanced back to Theodosia and then towards her subjects, taking a breath. "I'm standing here to tell you that during my ruling, there will not be a King and a Queen on the throne. If anyone else joins me on the throne…well, I hope it to be another Queen. There's someone that I'm considering making my Queen, but I shall not say who she is or if she will be until the time comes."
She took a deep breath. "That is all. I hope to make more addresses to you and to make the Kingdom of Oscana a better place. Thank you. You may go."
The people didn't quite understand what had just happened. Of course, they knew that the Queen had told them various times that she wouldn't give the kingdom a King, but they surely weren't expecting what Amelia was telling them. People whispered to each other, but after that, they dispersed quite quickly. Theodosia looked at the people scurrying away and smiled. "Well, that went well," Theodosia said as she turned to look at Amelia.
"Do you…do you think I did the right thing? Telling them that the only other person on the throne with me would be another Queen? How do you think they'll take that? Will they think I'm promoting the devil? I know what some of the priests in this kingdom are like."
Amelia paced back and forth on the balcony, something that she'd done a lot that day.
Theodosia looked at Amelia and sighed. She had every right to be worried, but Theodosia hated it when Amelia was like that. She watched her pace back and forth for a moment before walking to her and putting a hand on her shoulder. "Well, even if you didn't tell them, they would have found out sooner or later. They're extremely nosy, those people. And I know for a fact that not everybody in the Kingdom is attracted to males. Some people are going to take it well, others not so much, but it's all normal. I know that you did the right thing."
Amelia looked at Theodosia, her eyes slowly showing that she was trusting Theodosia. She started to smile, then broke into a laugh.
"God, where were you all my life? Why couldn't we be friends earlier?" She scoffed. "I think I would have turned out a lot better if I knew you sooner. But of course, it had to take my parents dying for us to even get close."
Theodosia smiled sheepishly at Amelia and shrugged as she looked at her. "Well, yes. It would be nice if we had been friend earlier, wouldn't it? But I guess everything happens for a reason. Either if we humans believe it or not. So what happens now?" She asked. "Do you think the Crown Prince of Ryhule or King… I'm not sure if he was already made king or not. Either way, do you think he's going to just leave Oscana alone? I know many people are worried that a war might happen."
Amelia sighed, taking her crown off and staring at it. As her face was reflected in the red gems, she was almost contemplating what she had to do. Breathing a determined sigh, she placed her crown back on her head.
"Whatever Liam does, we will be ready. We need to make sure that the guards are on high alert at all times, and are ready for an attack whenever. We don't know what is going to happen. There could be spies within our kingdom, within our castle. But I have one thing that Liam doesn't: magic."
Theodosia nodded as she took a deep breath. She hoped that Liam wouldn't be as foolish to start a war, but then again, it seemed that the prince actually liked Amelia. Theodosia didn't really know anymore. 'Yeah, of course. It might be not much, but at least we have an advantage. I just really hope he doesn't. Doubt the townsfolk would be ready for war after…so much 'peace', " She said with a frown as she looked out into the kingdom.
"The peace our kingdom has been resting in was forced by my father. A air of peace was thrown over the kingdom, but it was far from that. Trust me. I've seen Father's meetings. Where he perfectly plans out each and every kingdom he's going to attack and how and in what order." She took a deep breath. "It was terrifying, honestly. When he made me memorise everything that he was going to do down to every last word. I vowed to myself that I wouldn't do any of it when I became Queen, not matter how much he wanted me to continue his plans."
Theodosia shivered, as she heard what Amelia's father was planning to do. She should've guessed that he was going to do something as horrible as attacking kingdoms. She took a deep breath and smiled slightly. "It's nice to know that his plans have been terminated permanently." She looked at the castle and then back at Amelia. "Well, I'd better get on with my duties before I get in trouble." She laughed a bit and kissed Amelia's cheek before entering the castle.
Amelia watched as Theodosia walked away, having completely forgotten that the other woman had duties of her own to attend to. Her fingers gingerly reached up to touch where Theodosia kissed her cheek, grinning and blushing wildly.
She walked through the castle, finding a maid cleaning a table. "Excuse me?"
The maid turned around, then quickly dropped what she was doing and bowed. "Yes, Queen Amelia? How can I help you?"
"Oh, I just wanted some help getting out of my coronation gown. It's very tight-laced and I feel it would be hard to take it off myself."
"Of course, my Queen. Let me just go find another maid to help me."
"Thank you. I appreciate it. I shall wait here until you return."
Theodosia was on her way to complete one of her tasks when she was stopped by one of the maids. "You're the only one around, which is a bit weird, but you should do." The maid said to Theodosia as she dragged her to where Amelia was waiting. She was confused as to why she was stopped. When she saw Amelia, she smiled and waved a bit.
Amelia courteously smiled, trying not to be suspicious to the other maid. It wasn't public knowledge that she and Theodosia were in a romantic relationship, and the staff members certainly did not know.
"You were able to find someone else. Wonderful." She turned to Theodosia, acting neutral. "I need some help getting out of my coronation gown. Are you ok to help us with that?"
She gave Theodosia a pointed stare, as if to say 'We don't know each other'.
(Sorry for not responding earlier, I've been busy)
She gave a slight nod as if telling Amelia that she understood. She shook her head. "Of course not, your majesty. After all, we're here to help whenever we're needed." The other maid gave her a quick look before she nodded in agreement to Theodosia's statement.
(its ok. ive been really busy lately as well. we're finally getting ready to perform our schools musical (after it was going to be done in like may last year or something, but was stopped cause of covid) so we're fully strapped with rehearsals cause we have our shows in less than a month. and i also start school back in two days, and its grade 12. so im having a really busy month or so, which means i wont respond as i normally would)
Amelia smiled, pleased that Theodosia seemed to understand the messgage and was also willing to help. "Thank you. I suppose that the best place to change my clothes would be in my chambers. It's not far, after all, and it is much more private than a stone corridor."
The maid nodded. "A very good suggestion, my Queen. I can go ahead and sort your change out."
"Thank you. I shall be there shortly."

Theodosia watched as the maid walked away. And when she knew she was out of sight and earshot, she let out a sigh. "Well this is interesting," She muttered. She looked at Amelia and smiled. "Well, I should get going. She'll be suspicious..or something if I don't go to help her. I'll see ya shortly." She looked around to see if anyone was around and when she couldn't see anyone, she gave Amelia a quick kiss on the check and ran off.
(thank youuuu. we have two rehearsals left and then the shows. we added another show so now we have five. we have to leave our grade camp early just to get there for the rehearsal on the day of the fiftth show. we're gonna be so tired)
Amelia smiled and blushed when Theodosia kissed her cheek, watching her go. She began to make her way towards her chambers, slow enough so that they had time to sort everything out but fast enough so that it didn't seem like she didn't want their help. It was a fine line, but Amelia somehow always knew how to walk it.
