Nathaniel nodded a bit and seemed to relax at the reassurance. "Thanks, miss…" He murmured tiredly.
Nathaniel nodded a bit and seemed to relax at the reassurance. "Thanks, miss…" He murmured tiredly.
"Of course, darling."
"How long can I stay?" He asked, his voice still soft and meek.
"As long as you wish." She said, giving a reassuring smile.
"R-Really? But… but I don't wanna be a burden on you or anything, miss…" Nathaniel fidgeted nervously with his hands.
"Of course. And your not a burden, whatsoever! Your talking to the queen of Hell, for lords sake." She giggled softly.
"O-Okay… uhm… I can make all my own meals and do my laundry and not make a mess of anything… I'll try my best to not be a problem."
"Nonsense! I'll make your meals, and take care of you as if you were my own."
Nathaniel seemed confused. "Do kids on earth not do that for themselves…?" He asked.
"…Not all of them!" She muttered, sighing.
"Oh… should… should I not be doing it for myself?" He asked tentatively. "I've done it for as long as I can remember…"
"You should be taken care of…" She said, sighing. "I mean it."
Nathaniel nodded a bit. "Lloyd taught me how to do all that, not my parents… they were usually busy working, so…"
"Oh, understandable." She hummed. "But it's different now."
"Okay, miss… what am I supposed to do, then?" He asked softly. "If you don't want me cooking or cleaning…"
"Anything you want."
"…Like what?" Nathaniel asked. "Normally I just do what I'm told…"
"As I said, anything. We have a playroom, a bouncy house, a carnival- etc." She smiled.
Nathaniel still seemed bewildered. Those sorts of things didn't really exist in heaven. "Uhm… a forge, maybe? I like making knives and stuff…"
"Of course! Come on!" She said, picking him up and leading him to the basement, where the forge was.
Nathaniel glanced around curiously as he was carried down the stairs, fluttering his wings a bit as he did so. "You've got a very big house, miss."
"Thank you!" Lucifer responded, and set him down once they arrived at the stairs.
Nathaniel tentatively took Lucifer's hand in his own and followed her into the forge room. "Everything here is so big…"
"Agreed.." She muttered. "Hey, Lewis!" The tall- 7'11 male looked toward her. "Yes, Luc?"
"Could you teach this little one how to forge? And be nice." She growled lowly, as Lewis nodded. "I will."
Nathaniel cowered a bit as he looked up at the massive man. He didn't even reach the man's waist. "U-Uhm… I actually already know how to use a forge, miss… I taught myself." He pulled his dagger out of his pocket to show Lucifer. It was surprisingly well made for someone his age, and it seemed very sharp.
