@Hawkeye
"So, what do you think about maybe getting some breakfast later?"
"So, what do you think about maybe getting some breakfast later?"
"Later? I thought you said food if I got up!" said Rykah sleepily, readying to flop back on the bed,
"Well, we can't exactly go in our pj's."
"you do realize I'm still wearing the same clothes from yesterday right?"
"Whoops…. we'll work on some pajama's for you. I guess we're ready to go."
"Yeah.." said Rykah sleepily.
Will grabbed Rykah's hand and brought him downstairs, leading him out the door.
Rykah stumbled along quietly, still attempting to wake up.
"What'd'ya want for breakfast?"
"Anything you want" yawned Rykah, wanting to go back to sleep.
"Doughnuts it is then!"
"Yum" said Rykah perking up a bit.
"And coffee too?"
"Maybe not…" said Rykah, "But I'll do hot chocolate." he was now mostly awake as he pulled up next to Will.
"It's probably best I don't have caffeine…."
Rykah nodded, draping an arm around Will as they walked.
Will leaned into him, smiling.
Rykah impulsively plated a kiss on Will's hair.
"Hey!" Someone called out to them. Will jumped out from under Rykah's arm. "Go….." He whispered.
Rykah pulled away, but didn't move, "What's wrong Will?"
Before Will could respond, someone walked up to them. A tall kid, blond and big. "Hey, the idiot's back." Will winced. "And he has a girlfriend…."
"Boyfriend." Will corrected quietly. He knew that this kid was well aware that Rykah was a boy. "Just leave us alone, please."
Rykah tensed, his wings fluffing up protectively. his eyes going hard.
The kid feigned thinking for a second. "Hmmmm….. no, I don't think so."
"Dalton, he didn't even do anything. At least leave him alone." Will said, a lump already building in his throat.
The kid, Dalton, laughed.
"Leave us alone" said Rykah harshly, "We didn't do anything wrong, and it's none of your business."
"If you're going to make me watch it, it's my business." Dalton said.
Will was already wiping his eyes, even though Dalton hadn't hurt him.
