Rykah looked up, his tummy suddenly growling as he looked over at Will.
Rykah looked up, his tummy suddenly growling as he looked over at Will.
“We’ll be right down!” Will called.
“You want me just to grab some and bring it back or do you want to come?”
"I'm coming" said Rykah getting up, thankful that his leg was supporting him this time.
Will smiled. “Ok.”
He opened the door and lead them downstairs, smiling.
Rykah was a bit shyer than usual as he came down, but he stayed close to Will, and that meant things were fine.
Everyone waved from the table, where several boxes of pizza sat.
Rykah took a seat, still starving from that morning.
Will say down next to him, taking a piece of pizza.
Rykah hungrily began munching on his own slice, grateful for food, happy to have Will, and even more grateful that no one was asking questions.
No one spoke for a while, all eating, until finally Jack spoke up. “Ok, I’ve had this question all day…..”
Rykah tensed a little, figuring he knew what it might be.
“What kind of pet should we get? Mom said we could finally get one.” Jack said.
Will laughed, having been afraid the question would be directed towards Rykah.
Rykah breathed a sigh of relief, smiling at the idea.
“Dog.” Jesse and Anna replied.
“Cat.” Said Finn.
“I second the motion of a cat.” Will added.
Jack looked at Rykah pointedly. “Everyone in the family has to give some input.”
"Cat" said Rykah, even though he's technically part mutt.
“I say dog…. I suppose we have a tie, don’t we?” Jack said.
Will smiled, and said, “I’m honestly good with a dog too.”
Rykah rolled his eyes, "I still say cat"
Jack sighed. “Flip a coin?”
"Sounds good" said Rykah,
“Heads for a dog, tails for a cat.” Jack said, finding a coin in a drawer. He flipped the coin, and covered t with his hand before he could see. “Any bets before I look?” He asked.
“I bet that it’ll be tails.” Anna said.
“$20 dollars?”
Anna nodded. Jack looked at the coin and smiled.
“I win.” He said.
Rykah laughed, finding it funny that Anna lost so easily.
“Dog it is.” Jack said, smiling deviously.
“You cheated!” Anna said angrily.
“You can’t prove that, can you? And, before you say anything; I was thoroughly incapable of moving the coin the way I wanted it to lay, as my hand was covering it, and that same hand was flat on the coin. I let you choose which side you wanted to bet on, thus even if I had looked, I couldn’t have chosen the one I saw. So, there’s no way I could’ve cheated.” Jack raised an eyebrow, and smirked.
Rykah just laughed harder at that, "He's right y'know!"
Anna frowned. “You wouldn’t believe how he’s cheated before.”
“It’s always explainable, Anna. Your belief that I cheated on this is not, thus I did not cheat.”
Rykah grinned, "I don't think he's lying Anna."
