“ how old are you? How long have you been in the ‘realm’ I guess.. Is there really hell, does this mean there are angels too? Are the paranormal just you guys or are they their classification? Do you really page people for their sins?”
“ how old are you? How long have you been in the ‘realm’ I guess.. Is there really hell, does this mean there are angels too? Are the paranormal just you guys or are they their classification? Do you really page people for their sins?”
Isaac draws back his shoulders, shifting his wings as well. He straightens himself up, revealing his height to be 6'3. "I am well beyond 4 billion years old, but I prefer to appear to be 21. Hell does truly exist, as for I am the embodiment of greed himself," Isaac straightens out his collar. "Angels do exist, and they're insufferable. Holy wars are nearly always started by them," he scoffs in disgust. "As for other classifications, there are many. Hellhound, werewolves, the fae, you name it. And yes, people with unrepented sins do suffer, but that's not in my jurisdiction." Isaac looks at Haze with curious eyes, "Scared yet?"
“ no, now I have more questions.” his eyes were wide with curiosity. “ just asking, you ever thought of love? Or is it not possible?” he asked. Haze grabbed his high school varsity jacket and slipped into it. It would have been hard to tell, being 5’4 but the boy was star quarterback of a highly rated team.
Isaac ponders at this question, tilting his head a bit with his hand holding the left side of his face, "I've never had time to think of love. I've been too busy over the millennia dealing with greedy humans. I guess it is possible, but you have to win me over," He pauses and gives Haze a necklace with a red gem in the center. "How to do that? I'm not sure. No human has, but you might be special."
Haze looked at the necklace, “?” he gives the other a questionable look “ what's this?” he asked as he slipped it on.
Isaac leans in the doorway of the dorm, looking at Haze with a warm smile, "It's a necklace that ties your soul to me. It's laced with my power. Ready to go? We're losing daylight." Isaac glances out the window. The sun is nearly below the horizon. Any more time wasted, and it would fall to night. Twilight was a beautiful time of day but not the best for travel. "You could also think of it as a token of our friendship."
“ thank you, and I will try my best to earn your ethereal love” he teased, walking out of the door and tucking the necklace under his shirt to rest on his skin
"I—," one flustered Isaac. "WHAT!". Isaac swiftly walks down the hallway, following Haze out of the building. Out On the streets, he takes Haze by the hand and leads him north. He's heading away from the city in which the college is located. "We have to find the crown of the demon prince. It was stolen and needs to be returned." Isaac is pushing through people and pulling Haze right behind him. No one is surprised that a demon is walking among them, but they are confused by the inviable force pulling Haze.
“ why.. Why can't they see you like I can?”
"I'm not allowing them to. I'm only allowing you to. I have power over who can see me or not… unless you have the second sight. There is no control over that." Isaac keeps pulling Haze along until the sun reaches below the horizon. He stops and lets go of Haze's hand. He looks around, clearly unfamiliar with the area. His wings puff up as he feels threatened. "Where the hell are we?"
“ I know, I've got these parts memorized “ this time he took Issacs hand and lead him
Isaac lets out a little yip as a human has never done such a ludicrous thing. "Aren't I glad I have a guide like you," Isaac tries sarcasm, but Isaac doesn't know what sarcasm is. "It's getting late. Don't humans have to sleep?" he tilts his head a bit in curiosity.
“ I am tired, but sleeping out in the open is dangerous for me. I could be killed or attacked by more wild creatures. And unlucky for me, I have no heat source, bed, or tent to sleep in so I would get none anyway.”
"I am a heat source. If you need sleep… I can create a fire. If you know any forest nearby, we can camp out there. I can get you your essentials." Isaac shows compassion for a human. "I'd rather you be functional then me lugging you around all day."
“ thank you, but.. could you make me a promise?”
Isaac glances around. Demons aren’t supposed to make promises, but what could it hurt? What promise do you want me to make?” his voice is unsure.
“ could you stay by my side while I sleep? I have.. terrors.. and if I have one I want you to wake me up..”
Isaac sighs. Only for this human will he make a promise. Something about him was charming. "Alright, I will stay by your side for the night." Isaac's eyes go wide with a memory about humans. "Do you have something that soothes you?"
“ my mum would rub my back, but she passed awhile ago..”
"Then, as part of my eternal promise to you, I shall rub your back when you have terrors," Isaac crosses his arm over the left of his chest with his hand over his heart. A very fancy vow to help Haze.
Haze chuckled “ thank you,” he said, sitting down
"I'm 95% sure the answer to that is your welcome. I'm not well versed in human life," He takes an army knife out of his satchel and starts to hack off thinner branches. "Can one make bedding out of leaves?" Isaac throws the branches into a pile. A small ball of blue fire ignites in his palm, and he sets the branches on fire, making a campfire. He closes his palm.
"There, a heat source," Isaac demanifests his wings, the satchel falling against his back (Without the wings in the way). He stretches in relief. He pulls his leather satchel off from around him and lays it near Haze. The strap is worn with ware and it’s clearly filled with many items. Isaac doesn’t take a second to think Haze might go through his satchel as he’s too busy making sure this human sleeps, so he can function for the long journey ahead. Isaac starts gathering bedding material, including all the feathers of his that fell to the ground. His stoic manner seems to have soften, but could easy come right back.
“ you don't have to work so hard Isaac,”
Isaac tightens a small rope he made out of leaves with his teeth to make it sturdy. He ties it to another makeshift rope tied to a tree, same with the other end. He makes a cross-hatch pattern with other leaf ropes that has taken the form of a make-shift hammock. Isaac lays the plumage on the centerpiece.
"It’s my job. This should be able to hold you,” he takes a glance towards Haze. "You look small enough."
“ I'm not small!” he whined but got up laying in the hammock with a yawn
