Levi Followed after Cicada, curious as to why she wanted to talk to him alone. Once inside he just stood there. It was rude in the navy to sit before being told to. It was hard to change habits and things you learned. "What's up boss?"
"Please never call me boss again," Cicada looked at him and gestured to the seat in front of her desk, "Go ahead and sit down. Now you don't know, but my current first mate James has been itching to step down for a while now. He's been in positions of power for a long time and finally decided to 'settle down' per say now that he's got a man and all."
"Oh.." Levi moved to the chair and sat down. His brown hair hung low in his face. "So is he leaving the crew?" Levi has seen this many times with his own crew. Many found love, or whatever, and leave to settle down. Levi has never been in love, and he doesn't plan to have a serious relationship. He was hard to crack and any girl who could do that has to be very special. Leaning back he crossed his legs and looked to the ceiling. Is she going to ask me to be first mate? If she was, he wasn't about to turn down such an important role.
"That's his eventual plan," Cicada responded as she took a seat in her own chair leaning back to she was balancing on the back to legs, "How long that's going to take we don't know yet. But we've both agreed you'd probably be the most suited to take the first mate position. I'll tell you right now you won't just become first mate, it'll be a transition and while that's happening you'll be expected to help out with whatever else you're asked to do. Do ya still want it?"
"Of course. I'm ready for anything." Levi hoped she had seen him work earlier. Running around, sweating his ass off, it was hard work but he enjoyed it. A smile crossed his face, it was a mixture of excitement and challenging, almost like he was telling her to throw anything at him. Levi was always down for a challenge. After that he didn't move, he waited until he dismissed him. He respected her as Captain, so he wasn't about to try and take over and ruin everything that he had gained. The life of a pirate is something he loved.
Cicada gave him a slight smirk. She let the chair fall back onto all fours with a thud before standing up, "Good. You'll still answer to River, but if James or I call you over you drop whatever you are doing to come to us. I know they'll be needing help getting the ship moving again so go help with that. I'll introduce to the rest of the 'commanders' tomorrow."
Cicada never dismissed people, it wasn't her style. But she always gave them a closing note that most could read as a dismissal.
"You got it. Captain." He winked and headed out, shielding his eyes from the sun. "Can't it be fall already." He sighed remembering that summer had only begun. He walked over to River looking for a job. Standing around was something he hated doing. "Hey, any jobs I can do?" Levi could wait till they made it to the next town.
River looked over to see Levi. He quickly pointed over to where a few other crew members were working on getting the rigs back in order, "You can head over there. They need some more manpower to get a rig unstuck."
Cicada let out a sigh as Levi left. She ran a hand through her hair, that was one problem down. Her new problem was trying to figure out how the navy found the alcove and if they would be able to dock soon. If they kept running into navy issues they would have to try and sneak past, but that had more risks than rewards.
(Okay, give me a minute to start.)
Luckily Kirilio's dock didn't have any navy guards around it yet. The Firefly was able to dock and now the crew was getting ready to head ashore. Most of them had to get rid of there more pirate-esk features such as hats and certain clothes. It was difficult, but if they could remove some features it made life easier if they happened upon navy guards. Cicada was a top of the deck, her hat long gone, and was now wearing a short modified red dress with poofy sleeves and skirts with pants and boots underneath. Her hair had been let down and she was still barking orders at the rest of her crew before they had the day to themselves.
Levi wore a nice white shirt and a pair plain tan pants. Since his ship sunk he didn't have clothes, so he had to do with what they had on here. "I need a drink." Running his fingers through he could feel the sweat, he didn't exactly like it, but he was used to it. "Where first boss?" He smiled and turned back to look at her. She looked good in a dress, but it definitely wasn't as good as her usual outfit. Lily on the other hand pulled off the dress a little more. Levi was happy to be on dry land, being on the sea was exhausting.
Cicada turned to Levi hearing him ask her a question. She had a slight smile on as she lifted the hair trying to keep it off her neck. If there was one thing she hated about letting her hair down, it was the feeling of it on the back of her neck. She stepped down from where she was standing perched, the ship had been docked successfully and there was no reason to keep her crew from going ashore. Most of them were off to get supplies anyway, "Where ever you want. Most of the crew is off getting supplies or just enjoying their time ashore. I'm heading to the bar if you want to join me."
Honestly, I'm not feeling this. Would you want to star a different RP
