Charles leaned back casually. "Money. I know you're rich, Mr. André. Anyone your status must be."

He let out a long breath. "…What if I don't pay you?"

He shrugged. "Then your wife might just happen to find out about your little affair."

John shut his eyes for a while, evidently thinking, and very hard thinking as well. "….Ah….." How was he supposed to react to this? His stomach felt like stone.

Charles turned the bartender away when he asked if they wanted anything more. He sat patiently, waiting for John's decision.

John sat back down, slow like syrup. A hand pushed across his forehead as if he could wipe this new burden off his face. "How much?" He murmured.

Like, do you need to know how much money or like the type of currency they use?
If its the second one you can just use dollars, idc )

Charles casually ran his finger around the lip of his glass. "A thousand a month."

John nearly choked. Well, he did, and his skin went bloodless. "I'm sorry?" He breathed weakly.

"You heard me, Mr. André," he replied smoothly.

He pressed a palm to his pallid forehead. John whispered very quietly, "…How do you expect me to do that…" His heart, it felt explosive at this point.

"I know you're a very rich man," Charles replied simply. What he might as well have said was, 'Figure it out yourself.'

John pressed his hands together. He'd find a way to deal with this, even if it meant unconventionally but right now he was in a silent, feverish panic. "Okay."

He nodded. "Alright then. Things stay quiet."

I actually just read through all of it recently, lol! John cheated on Jane with Mirelle. Charles knows and Peter knows. Peter and John aren't really on good speaking terms right now, even though Peter recently apologized for saying rude things about John (to his face). Jane had her baby. Mirelle is preggo. This whole thing right now is because Charles knows (somehow, I haven't really established him yet) and he's blackmailing John with the money. Um… Peter wants to be a spy… I think that's really it with our storylines.
