(Nice!)
"Well of you would excuse me, i going to go use the washroom." He says adjusting the golden watch on his wrist. He stepped out and closed the door behind him with a sigh and headed down the hall. As he passed the elevator he spotted a vaguely familiar face. "Laura?" He looked at all of her luggage and then her. "Would you like some help?" He says raising an eyebrow.
Laura jumped a bit, not able to see over her boxes. "Levi? Is that you?" She asked peering around the box. As she was about to, she remembered she looked awful. She pulled her head back behind the boxes, and coughed a bit. "I- I'm okay." She said unconvincingly.
"Yeah right. Here let me help you with that" he says taking a big box revealing her face.
He froze for a minute, slight panic in his eyes as he bit his lip thinking of what to do. He soon balances the box with on arm and pulls out a white handkerchief, bordered with a fancy golden lace with the word Levi in cursive, gold embroidered in the corner. He handed it to her with a rather soft look. "Are you alright?"
She was about to break down again. She felt terrible. "N-no…" She said lip quivering, she couldn't stop the tears from coming. "I- I'm not, really, I'm honestly terrified." She said looking down.
He looked both ways down the hallways and stepped in the elevator. "Mind if i come in?" He asks her as he presses the "close" button on the elevator. He didn't know what he was going to do, but he was going to try his best to make her feel better.
"I can't really stop you can I?" She asked biting back any choking. She couldn't stop tears from rolling down her face though. It was just to hard to stop herself. "I'm sorry about this. We just met, and I'm already having an emotional breakdown. It's a little ridiculous."
(This is Laura's roommate, this is a new experience for me, she's rather… something. ::Eliza Kilo {In Progress})
(Okay, ill have to read up on her in like an hour. I'm trying to reply to all of yours and mine roleplays before i leave)
"One, if you told me to leave, i will leave. A gentleman wouldn't stay after being told not to. And two, its completely fine" he says pressing the button. "Im glad to help you. Whats going on?" He says taking a few more boxes from her so she would have to carry so much. "Oh, keep the handkerchief."
She tucked it into her pocket and sighed. "I just… I got to my dorm earlier. And nobody was in it. Not a big deal, until I realize nobody was going to coming back. It was completely empty besides myself." She let out a shaky breath.
"Im guessing you don't like being alone? I feel that." He says with a sigh. Even though he was always alone, he hated it. Though he never showed that.
Laura nodded. "It's a bit more then that." She started. "But I really don't want to bother you with the details. It isn't that important." She said shifting the box.
(I'm just responding before I go to bed, because I got like 10 minutes.)
"To me it is. If you need to vent you can. If it'll help you ill be more than happy to.listen. so continue" he nodded.
She took in a deep breath, and let it out slowly. "Well, it happened when I was only 4 years old. My parents had gone on a weekend trip to Vermont. They had left me in the care of my Aunt. But she was irresponsible, and young. She was only 21. My parents had only been gone for a few hours at this point, when my aunt decided she wanted to go out, specifically to her boyfriend's party. But she didn't want to bring a child with her." She began, her shoulders stiffening. "She couldn't. So she locked me in my room, and shut the lights off in the house. She left, leaving me in my room alone. It wasn't even that late when she left, not even 6 o'clock. So I was just playing in my room. I got hungry, so I went to leave, but my door was locked. I couldn't escape." She had tears streaming down her face now. "I screamed and cried for hours. Nobody could hear me. We lived in the country, the nearest neighbor was half a mile away. I had no phones. I was terrified. It was Friday when my parents left. My Aunt got back late Sunday night. My parents got back on Monday. When she unlocked my door, instead of a loving parent, or adult, my seething aunt stood there. I didn't know at the time, but she was completely drunk. She yelled at me, and threatened me not to tell my parents anything. I obviously didn't. I was terrified and lied to my parents, until they both died." She said taking in a sharp inhale now. "And she came back. The awful woman called my aunt came back into my life. She was my legal guardian now. " She just couldn't continue. She shook, and cried. She leaned against the wall of the elevator, and cried.
(Okay but YES)
(Dude I've messed Levi up and so his backstory is so frikin sad and…" oh my gosh why would you do that?"And i can't wait to reveal it :P
Levi leaned against the small metal railing of the elevator as he listened to her. He knew that most people cared only for themselves. They were mean, selfish, and they wouldn't think twice about helping themselves before others. That was just how the world is. And it disgusted Levi more than germs.
He clenched his jaw when she started crying. He was really bad at comforting people. He had no idea what to do. Should he make a remark about how dirty this elevator was? It was filthy…
Should he say a funny thing to cheer her up? No, that's not the sort of thing Levi does.
Should he tell her he understands? No. Empathy is better than sympathy. Right! Empathy!
"I can imagine…" He says quietly looking from the floor to her.
That was all he could say. Why couldn't he say anything else?
The fear. The fear of saying the wrong thing. Messing everything up and making her feel even worse.
That's why he couldn't say anything else.
(Oof fun XD)
Laura composed herself. With a a deep breath she looked at him. "I bet I look awful." She tried to lighten the mood. "I'm sorry… I really don't want to bother you with this… I really shouldn't have, it's my problem not yours." She said wiping her eyes with his handkerchief.
"One, I said I was happy to help. And two, you still look beautiful" he says with a sigh. "I apologize. I'm no good at comforting people. People in general's never been my strong point." He says raking his hand through his hair.
She smiled gently. "I understand that, it was difficult to talk with people in highschool." She sighed. The elevator dinged to her floor and she sighed walking out towards her dorm.
He nodded and picked up her boxes to help her. "Well im not really allowed in your dorm, so I'll set them outside of the door. Is that alright?" He says already setting the last box down.
She nodded. She unlocked her door and walked in. She carried her box to her room and set it on the floor.
Right as she walked in, a girl came up to the dorm. "Oh hello good looking." She said noticing Levi. She had a key in her hand to unlock the door that was already open. "Are we dorm mates? What's your name?" She smiled innocently.
Levi looked at the girl with a distasteful look. "Um, no. Sorry to disappoint. You're too messy for my taste." He says glaring at her. He never really liked flirts. Though he never showed it.
(Oof I meant that towards Levi, but re-reading that…. that sounds so wrong.)
The girl ground and turned to Laura. "I'm Eliza." She said not even sticking her hand out tonshake Laura's Laura nodded remembering she looked hideous. "Uh, hi… sorry for the disaster of my face." She said avoiding the new girl's gaze. "I'm Laura." Eliza rolled her eyes. "Whatever. I'm going to hang out in my room." She said pushing past Laura.
(Ooooh, I can edit that. That would be funny XD)
(XD, then I'll have to edit mine, we don't have to. But I had an idea… and it's gonna start up some jealousy…. but we don't have to obviously.)
