Maelia hummed, sighing into the ocean air. She looked back at M, giving him a perfectly relaxed smile. "Would you kiss me again? Before we return?" She asked, not quite shy, but also not quite bold.
Maelia hummed, sighing into the ocean air. She looked back at M, giving him a perfectly relaxed smile. "Would you kiss me again? Before we return?" She asked, not quite shy, but also not quite bold.
M returned the smile with a small, shy grin. “I would love to kiss you again, my lady.” He bowed slightly.
Maelia twirled, a gentle laugh floating out of her mouth. Sand and water sprayed as she moved. "Then do so!" She called to M.
M stepped back slightly as waterdroplets scattered everywhere from her dress, smiling wider.
“I think I must require you to stop twirling, Maelia.”
Maelia froze mid twirl, hair flinging itself across her face. "Very well then!" she said through her locks. "I've stopped."
M laughed softly into his hand again, his eyes flicking open to look at her again.
“Well… um, come here.”
Maelia brushed her hair from her face as she stepped up to M. She looked up at him patiently, like a child ready to receive their gift. "I am here." She said softly.
M shook a couple tiny curls from his own face, gently grabbing her into an embrace. Without a second thought, he leaned closer and kissed her.
Maelia melted into M's embrace, wrapping her arms around his neck and stepping closer still. She deepened the kiss with a happy sound in the back of her throat.
M inhaled softly through his nose as she tilted her head. He opened his mouth slightly for her, shutting his eyes as the waves washed over their feet.
Maelia hummed, pulling away from the kiss, only to place her head on his chest. "Thank you." She said softly into his shirt.
M opened his eyes, feeling somewhat put off but happy nonetheless.
“You’re welcome, my lady,” He said softly, looking down at her.
She cleared her throat, looking back at the sea. "We should return. I would not keep anyone from their meal for much longer. Especially me!"
M smiled faintly and nodded slightly. “Right you are. It’s just up this way.” He gently tugged on her arm.
Maelia followed, a knot of sadness tightening in her stomach at the fact that she could not spend all afternoon with him here at the beach. She would have liked that immensely. Perhaps she would suggest it. An actual date. If that's what he wanted.
M tried not to intrude in on her thoughts, but he couldn't help picking up on her saddened thoughts. He didn’t want her to be upset, yet the also didn’t want to seem creepy. Perhaps she would suggest it?
Maelia sighed, opening and closing her mouth three times, before finally settling on silence. Why ruin today with a refusal, hmmm? So she strode next to M, casually brushing her knuckles against his as they walked. "This place we are going, it is good?" She asked when the silence between them became deafening.
M glanced peevishly at her profile, which gaped thrice. She was going to give up? She didn’t seem like the type to do so…
“It is very good, my lady,” He said softly, turning to look at her.
"Oh." She said softly, still battling with herself. "Perhaps–You would like to join me for a walk tomorrow?" Maelia asked, looking away from him entirely.
M turned to look at her more, his eyes rounding slightly in shock. He didn’t actually think she’d do it. So he, in turn, made a riskier move.
“Of course I would. But wouldn’t you want to do so tonight? The sun is setting.” He paused and looked over his shoulder at the dipping sun.
“It’s an opportunity we cannot miss.”
Maelia peeked over her shoulder as well, watching the sun dip towards the water. Her lips parted in awe and she smiled at all the fiery colors. "I would love to, but our brothers have been waiting for quite some time, don't you agree?"
M shut his eyes as the last rays of sun brushed over them. “I think they’ll find wonderful company in each other.”
Maelia snorted after a moment, running her hand through the air like she could almost feel the rays of the sun like flames. "That ship has sailed M. But it is still rude to keep my host waiting. I did come here to visit my brother." Not fall for someone…
M gently took her hand, smiling lightly. “Come on, my lady. Let’s enjoy the ocean together.”
Who was she to say no? Maelia let herself be taken back to the sand, sighing softly. She'd never hear the end of it from Braith. This time she kicked off her shoes and stepped into the chilled water with her bare toes. She hummed in pleasure. "Do you swim?" She asked over her shoulder to M.
