Feeling bold, yet again, honestly she had to stop this, Maelia reached forward and grasped M's hand. She pulled it off his face and placed her own cheek within his palm. "Please?"
Feeling bold, yet again, honestly she had to stop this, Maelia reached forward and grasped M's hand. She pulled it off his face and placed her own cheek within his palm. "Please?"
M blushed even more as his face was exposed. The warm air tickled his even warmer face.
“I-… okay…” He breathed softly.
Maelia took a step towards him. Their chests almost brushing now. "Tell me what's going on in your head?"
M blanched and resisted the urge to hug her. “N-nothing. Nothing’s going on,” He whispered back huskily.
Maelia's eyes twinkled, "Are you lying to me, my lord?" She asked with a slight smirk quirking up the side of her mouth.
“Lying?” M burst out like it was the worst thing he could do to someone. “N-no! Of course I’m not!”
Maelia's smirk grew and again she looked positively fae with her mischievousness. "Are you lying about lying, my lord?" The words came out a lot more seductive than she had intended especially since she was leaning up into his face to get a better read on his eyes.
M’s hands fell away from his face and his mouth fell ajar. Their faces were so close he took care to make sure he didn’t breathe on her.
“N-no, my-my lady!”
He was so beautiful. Truly she couldn't stop looking at him. She wanted to kiss him again.
"Why don't I believe you?" Maelia teased, poking him gently over his heart.
M’s ears turned a delicate pink from where they were hidden in his temporarily neat, curly hair.
“I…I am not sure, my lady,” He said with a soft hushed tone of embarrassment.
"Mmmm." Maelia responded, forcing herself to pull away. I would love to truly be your lady, my lord M. "It seems we've lost our companions." She said softly, looking over M's shoulder to wear Neo and Braith seemed to have vanished.
M gasped lightly, biting his lip to muffle it. He couldn’t express even to himself how much he would like that.
“W-we will find them, I assure.”
Maelia looked back to M, eyebrows raised as he was still staring at her. She looked down at herself, wondering what in the hell he was looking at. "Is there something on my face?" She asked, tapping her cheeks.
M made a muffled noise as she caught him staring and looked down at his feet. “No. There is nothing on your face, my lady.”
Well there should be something on my face. Your damn lips. Maelia cleared her throat. "Shall we join our brothers? Braith would be put out if the guest of honor did not show to lunch." She ran an awkward hand through her long hair, fluffing it out so it caught the light.
M opened his mouth to answer but his voice faultered in his throat. Instead he was caught standing there with his mouth half open for at least ten seconds as he brought himself together.
"M? Are you alright?" Maelia sounded genuinely concerned now as she looked up at him. He was just staring at her mouth open. She pressed her fingers to the bottom of his chin and closed his mouth for him.
M blinked in quick succession, nodding lightly. “Mhm. I-I think we’d be able to catch up quickly, since I know where we are going.”
"O–Oh. Good. Good! Alright, onward." Maelia gently caressed M's chin with her thumb, before she turned abruptly and began to march off in the wrong direction, skirts rustling against the ground.
M gazed at her, desperate for another kiss. He hid it well, or at least he hoped he did. He grabbed her hand the moment she turned off and started to march.
“E-er… you-you’re going the wrong way, my lady.”
Maelia froze, a blush burning her cheeks as she looked back at M. "Of course I am." She said laughing lightly at herself. She tugged on a curl. "Lead the way!" She said gesturing forward.
M grinned lightly at her reaction and started the other way.
“His restaurant is just down this hill and along the boardwalk. It has a wonderful view of the ocean.”
"I've never seen the ocean!" Maelia cried, excitement now propelling her along. "What is it like?"
M watched behind him as she trotted up quickly to his side. “Oh? It is very nice. And on good days you can see the seafloor. And you can pick up shells, too, which is nice.” M rubbed at his neck, his collar dipping slightly to reveal a light red.
"Shells." She echoed, eyes wide and wistful. "I would love to see it all for myself." She turned to him again. "Do you go every day?"
