M looked down at her and shook his head. “No, I would like to, though. Would you like to go down to the beach before we meet up with the other two?”
M looked down at her and shook his head. “No, I would like to, though. Would you like to go down to the beach before we meet up with the other two?”
Internally Maelia warred. Her mother raised her to be a proper girl. Manners, etiquette and what not. So keeping her host waiting was out of the question. Even if it was her brother. But she so wanted to see the ocean for herself, feel the sand between her toes, and the chill water against her hands. She paused, chewing her lip.
M blinked down at her and turned them into a different direction. “Let’s go by the beach. There are many sand dollars out during this season. I think you’ll like to see one.” He kept a light grip on her hand, telling her she no longer had a choice. She needed to see the ocean.
Maelia stumbled over her dress as M practically dragged her along, not that she was resisting much. "But your brother? And my brother?! This is most improper…."
M rolled his eyes. “They will live without us. I’m sure they’re enjoying their time alone anyway.” He quickly led her up to where the town central stooped off into a fork. More road, and a sandy entrance to the boardwalk.
(Also because I’m mean I’ve decided to make M like, super sensitive physically. By that I mean he has certain restrictions set by medical professionals and stuff. Plus he’s sterile because I’m ass.)
(mmmmmkay. so be gentle with him Maelia. got it. AND HOW MEAN ARE YOU?! STERILE?!)
(Imean if you think about it it does make sense for him. He’s been a PD for thousands of years, therefore has been targeted for numerous assaults and attempted murders.)
"A–Alright." Maelia said, still looking over her shoulder and fixing her dress so she wouldn't trip over it. "If you're sure– Oh…"
She stopped, eyes wide as saucers as she stared at the wide blue expanse of ocean laid before her. "Can we go closer?" She asked softy.
(attacks specifically on his manhood. You ARE mean.)
(YES WOULD YOU RATHER HIM BE DEAD?
also if you tried to kill someone over and over only to find them out as a Demi-God you’r want a most painful life.)
M grinned faintly again and nodded. “Sure we can.” He let go of her hand and let her lead the way to the ocean. On the way, he picked up tiny pieces of trash.
(NO DONT YOU HURT HIM)
(…there goes your line of succession.)
(And like I said, there are other things wrong with him because of these assaults and murders. Some tried poisoning him, which just ruined his immune system, so his body is constantly giving out, others literallg stabbed him in the chest or shot him in the head, which created organ failures which required yet another body restart.)
(jesus christ. PM me a list so i can keep track and Maelia doesnt fucking kill him with a sultry hip check)
(Lmao okay. I’ve actually thought this through, I just thought to tell you that he was sterile.)
Maelia followed him, clinging to the back of his shirt as they walked. She would have walked into something if she hadn't been hanging on to him, she was so entranced by the waves. "M–" she started, but she had no further words. Only complete adoration.
M smiled down at her and paused at the shoreline. The waves lapped up over her shoes and under his bare feet.
“This is nice, isn’t it?”
Her dress was getting wet; so were her shoes, but she didn't care. She was at the beach, standing in the ocean. Maelia could cry. Her dream finally coming true. A dream she shared with Braith since they were children. She still had no words. Other than that it was the most beautiful thing she'd ever seen.
She turned to M, not saying a word, she grasped his hand, pulled him toward her and kissed him. And not a chaste kiss like earlier, she kissed him like she meant it.
M had stumbled a little at first, but caught himself on her and froze when she kissed him. It was a kiss of a pair of lovers. One that exchanged love between two souls. It… was nice. He relaxed slowly into the kiss, his eyes drifting shut.
Maelia was leaning her body against him, one hand clasped in his and the other place carefully on his cheek. She didn't know what possessed her to kiss him again, but she was pleased with her own boldness. Especially when he relaxed into her. She had only wanted to say thank you, but apparently this was the only way she knew how.
M wanted to stand there with the waves gently washing over their feet for forever. Just kissing her with their hands entwined. He held his breath and his lungs strained for air but he ignored it.
Maelia pulled away after a long, long moment, resting her forehead on M's chin as she slipped back down to her feet. "I–I'm sorry. I don't know what's come over me today." she whispered.
M inhaled slowly as she pulled away, opening his eyes and blinking like a disappointed dog.
“Oh. It’s alright, my lady.”
"I just wanted to say thank you." Maelia said softly. She lifted her head and looked back at the ocean, closing her eyes as a breeze came off the water. "It's beautiful…"
M gazed into her soft, relaxed profile, her hair fluttering back past her head. Her hair shimmered a majestic caramel color as the sun shone down on it. He blinked a couple times, shaking himself lightly.
“Do not thank me,” He finally responded softly, “it’s my honor.”
