"I know how you feel Mori. Before this whole thing happened, the people who took care of me used to take me out into the woods and leave me there for a couple of days. To help me learn survival skills they said. In reality, they just couldn't deal with me anymore and needed a break. I had seen other people put up animal traps, so I did the same, and just like you, they kept breaking." She sighed as she made her way with the kitchen and took out some things to make food for both her and Mori. " I don't remember much from when I was a child either." She shook her head and smiled at Mori. "Are you allergic to anything? I don't want to include something in the food that could cause an allergic reaction."
Mori quietly listened to her as she spoke, nodding along and huddling up under the blanket. He watched her wandering into the kitchen, uneasy to be left alone, and faltered at the question. "Allergies? Um…" He considered for a few seconds, trying to remember if he had any. "I think I'm allergic to… shellfish. And… pen… um…" He struggled with the word for a few seconds, stammering for a few seconds, "…p-pencilcill… in… but I think that's a medicine, so I probably won't have to eat it."
Ximena nodded as she mentally noted the allergies Mori had. "Yeah, penicillin is in medicine. I´ll just have to stay away from shellfish then," She responded with a smile. She took out some eggs and vegetables and started cooking an omelet for Mori. She added some of the vegetables she took out and let the omelet cook on one side as she took two cups and filled them with water. She went back to the omelet and flipped it. After a bit, she took it out of the frying pan and moved it to a plate. "Do you want me to bring you the food to the couch so you can eat there, or do you want to move to the kitchen, where it's a bit warmer?" Ximena asked.
Mori sat up and watched Ximena curiously from the couch, trying his best to ignore the sharp, stabbing pains throughout his body. He perked up a bit more when he was addressed, thinking more consciously than before. "Uhm… I'll come in there." He carefully got to his feet and winced, reluctantly leaving the blanket behind as he limped over to the kitchen. He was obviously still in pain, but if he could avoid being a burden by walking into the kitchen, he was willing to do it.
