Mallory pulls into the shopping centre's parking lot. "C'mon," she says, walking towards the front doors.

Maddalena sighs in relief when she doesn't detect any familiar magic in the paper and follows Mallory to the larger building, habitually pulling up the hood on her jacket.

Mallory laughs. "You look like a gangster or a criminal. All you need now is a mask and a weapon on your hip." She pulls up her hood. "It's kinda a vibe, though."

Maddalena chuckles and shrugs. “Well, I am a thief. And I do have my daggers but it was never a good idea to show them off so blatantly before.”

"Yeah, keep them concealed. I'm not trying to get arrested, even though it wouldn't be hard to escape." She smiles. "The Popeye's is just over here. C'mon." She walks over to the counter. "You want the same thing?" she asks Maddi.

Maddalena grins at the mischievous idea and nods. “No. I doubt it would be hard at all.” she agrees since she has had some experience escaping mortal authorities before. “Sure. The same thing would be fine.”

"Cool." She turns to the guy at the counter and orders. She pays and when the food comes out, she retrieves it and brings it to a table. "Here." She hands Maddi her food, then starts eating her own. "Wonder when RinRin's gonna show up again," she said.

“Knowing your brother, he could appear at any time.” Maddalena comments as she accepts the food and sits with Mallory.

Mallory laughs. "Yeah." She takes a bite of her chicken. "Still, this kind of silence after the past two days is… unsettling."

Maddalena hums softly in agreement and nods. “Are you worried for him or about what else might happen?”

"Him? I don't need to worry about him." She laughs Redheads. she shakes her head, still laughing. "Why would I need to worry about him?"

“Well, despite your abilities, you and your brother have repeatedly stated that you are mortal.” she says with a shrug. “And he is your brother. Don't family members still care for each other's well-being?” she asks, though she can not recall such a thing amongst most members of the Pantheon.

"Oh, you two needn't worry about me. Allow me to explain why." RinRin says merely inches from Maddi's ear.

Maddalena jumps in surprise at the close proximity and nearly throws a punch at him. “Don't ever… appear that close to me again. Unless you want Mallory to have an older sister instead of an older brother.” she warns with a deep scowl.

RinRin chuckles then vanishes. "I am far beyond capable of protecting myself. I may be mortal, but my powers are unmatched to the point where I might as well be immortal."

“I am aware of your powers.” she sighs, rolling her eyes. “But I am still going to hold my threat.”

RinRin appears, stabbing a knife into the table, merely inches away from Maddi's left hand. If she had moved, she might have lost a hand. "You do realize," he says, walking around the table and sitting on one side with Maddi and Mallory on either side of him. "You don't scare me or intimidate me. In your current state, I could crush you like a gnat." He glares back, his face flickering multiple times into a smile, daring her to continue to stare him down.

Maddalena doesn't even flinch as RinRin stabs the table. “My powers may be limited but you do not scare or intimidate me either.” she replies, her voice deceptively calm. “I have been around others, my entire existence, who have used similar threats against me, and it never stopped me before.” she points out, raising a brow at the strange way his face flickered.

"Hm." RinRin's face returns to normal. "You earned some respect for that. Most people continue to stare me down." He smiles, "It's super fun with regular mortals, all I have to do is a millisecond and they run away screaming for their mothers." he laughs. "Anyway,"

Maddalena raises a brow as he tells her that she passed some kind of challenge. “I'm a thief. And a former goddess. I don't scare easily.” she points out… Not mentioning that she had been surprised a few times. And not just by him. “But I have to ask, what was that? One of your powers?”

RinRin smiles, "Which one?" he says chuckling. "Anyway, all I know is pure hearsay, but I'll tell you if you want."
