(I don't have Discord, sorry)
(Oh rip, that's okay!)
(Okay, I sent a friend request!)
(I have it, too :D I’m rivers&roads#1850)
(Awesome! I'll add you as well!)
Kekoa nodded, "Yeah! I'm ready when you are!" Then to Electrike he said, "Get ready Electrike!" The electric type barked in response and crouched close to the ground, focusing on the opposing Pokemon.
"If you guys aren't going to attack… Sneasel, use metal claw again and aim for Growlithe!" Seasel nodded in affirmative, taking an aggressive stance before bolting towards the fire pup, still slightly slower than her initial burst of speed at the beginning of the battle due to the electric attack.
Tiki smiled when the Sneasel started bolting for the pair. He threw out a free hand, making sure Chespin was steady, and called. “Alright, now, you two! Growlithe, use ember!”
Again, smoke coiled from Growlithe’s nose as he took a deep breath in, focusing mainly on the encroaching Sneasel as he shot out a large puff of smoke and sparks.
Fear flickered in Kekoa's eyes for a brief second before he pumped his fist in the air and yelled, "Electrike! Use Shock Wave!" Electricity sparked off of Electrike as he bared his teeth and bounded forward, casting his attack with as much power as he could muster.
(I CAUGHT A MEWTWO)
(WHAT GAME? ALSO THAT'S REALLY COOL! MEWTWO IS SICK!)
(PoGo)
(yooo dm me your friend code! Thats so lucky, all I have is Groudon)
(Ehhhh… I would, but… personal identity and all that…)
(Oop, true)
(Yooo, congrats!! I don't know much about Pokémon Go, but Mewtwo is pretty sick!)
(Bumping this 'cause idk if River wanted to explain how the move combination works since it was Tiki's idea. Let me know if not and I'll reply!)
(yeah, no problem! I totally can)
Just as Tiki had so meticulously calculated, the embers soared through the air from Growlithe’s glowing maw. It wasn’t long before Electrike’s charge flew up to collide with the cloud of searing smoke, leaving a massive puff of burning raw energy.
Tiki let out a smile, looking to Kekoa with a thumbs up as the powered-up attack barreled toward the two opposing pokémon.
"Dodge it!" Madyson called. Dedenne rolled out of the way, but the attack was too fast for it; the little creature squealed and rolled out of the way, and when the smoke cleared, Madyson could see that Dedenne was knocked out.
"Oh, Dedenne… we really need to do more training, don't we…" she muttered, clenching her teeth. She would retrieve the little mouse Pokémon, but Sneasel was still battling and she didn't want to get in the way of any attacks.
Sneasel's initial attempt at attacking put her right in the blast radius. "Sneasel, no!" Dallas cried, but the pokémon was done for the time being. "Return!" After Sneasel was tucked safely in her pokéball, she murmered a soft, "You did well. It was my fault for having you attack when I did." She looked to the other trainers, a small, bittersweet smile on her lips. To Tiki and Kekoa, she said, "That combination was smart. I'd love to discuss it more in depth, but I'm afraid we're all in need of a trip to the center."
She summoned the rest her team, who looked at Sneasel's pokéball in concern, but with the promise that the ice type would be just fine they all returned willingly to their own.
Madyson retrieved Dedenne and returned it to its Poké Ball, then stood up with a smile at Kekoa and Tiki. "Nice combined move!"
“Thanks! Electrike is certainly MVP, though,” Tiki replied, looking to Growlithe fondly. “What do you think, bud?”
Growlithe, who was moderately banged up, gave a light huff in response. Smoke coiled from his mouth as he looked over to Electrike, bowing his head in approval. As previously stated, it was normally extremely difficult for other pokémon to earn Growlithe’s respect— but Kekoa’s didn’t seem to have much trouble.
“And Growlithe, we might have to work a little on your counters. I know a metal claw to the jaw isn’t the best solution,” he continued, kneeling down to stroke the pup’s fur. By this time, Chespin was awake, poking Growlithe’s nose when he got in the vicinity. Growlithe seemed to only tolerate it, his eyes heavy and posture tall as he glared.
Kekoa let out an excited cheer and threw his fists in the air, "Yeah we did it!" He looked down at his excited lectric type and kneeled down, patting him on the head, "You did great, Electrike!" He stood back up, "And Tiki! That was a great idea! You did really well too Growlithe!" Electrike excitedly jumped around near Growlithe, happy that they had won.
"You guys coming?" Dallas called, looking expectantly at the other trainers as she walked over to the Pokémon Center. She was disappointed at the loss, but grateful for the opportunity to have a battle with such quick-minded trainers.
"Yeah, sure!" Madyson stowed Dedenne's Poké Ball in her pocket and hurried after Dallas, Absol loping along behind.
