Sterling's POV:
I grinned at her before leaning forward to kiss her forehead. "You didn't hurt me, so it's all good. Don't worry about it, sweetheart."
Sterling's POV:
I grinned at her before leaning forward to kiss her forehead. "You didn't hurt me, so it's all good. Don't worry about it, sweetheart."
Eden's POV:
"I almost hurled you towards the wall," I said, practically melting at his touch. "Please do not sneak up on me like that."
Sterling's POV:
"Sorry, babe. I didn't mean to startle you so badly," I apologized softly, reaching out for her hands. "How are you doing?"
(The song I'm listening to reminds me of Ashley's reaction to being hit on by anyone other than Lucas. Lol.)
(Which song is it?)
Eden's POV:
I stood on my toes before standing straight again.
"Okay," I answered quietly, linking our fingers together, loving the way his hands engulfed mine. "I'm… okay. How are you?"
(It was "Take A Hint")
Sterling's POV:
I smiled down at her gently and leaned forward to press a quick, soft kiss to her lips. "I'm doing great, now that I've seen you. How are you handling… everything?"
(Oh my God, I've heard of that!)
Eden's POV:
I smiled as Sterling kissed me, feeling shivers go down my spine to my toes.
"Well, I ended up scaring half of the school population again so…" I trailed off before smiling cheekily. "I think I'm good."
It wasn't like me not telling Sterling would keep him in the dark. By the time classes even started, everyone would know about what happened about ten minutes ago. Besides, he knew what I was like.
(Lol. My sister and I used to love the show it's from.)
Sterling's POV:
I chuckled shaking my head in amusement. "You just can't help but be fierce, can you babe?" I teased her, kissing her forehead again. "What happened this time?"
Eden's POV:
I curled my toes, snaking my arms around Sterling's neck, the smile still on my face. It widened when he kissed my forehead.
"Well, I realized people didn't fear me enough," I murmured, my eyes flickering to his lips and back to his eyes. "I love your eyes…"
It was when Sterling's lips twisted into a smirk when I realized I voiced it out loud.
Sterling's POV:
"Oh? Well, I love your eyes, Eden," I said softly, still smirking at her. There's a lot more about you that I love, too… "I think the bell's about to ring, unfortunately. Are you ready for class?"
Eden’s POV:
“I’d much rather skip,” I said, not ready to part from Sterling any sooner. “But I suppose I’ve got no choice, huh?
Sterling's POV:
"Sorry, sweetheart. I'll catch you at lunch, though," I promised, pulling away after kissing her softly.
Eden’s POV:
I sighed, rubbing the back of my head as Sterling walked away. I really didn’t want to go to class, but I knew I couldn’t skip this class. I had skipped this class twice before, both this week. I couldn’t skip it again. At least, not in this week.
So I turned around before I frowned. I didn’t mean to forget Ashley…
Ashley's POV:
I laughed softly as Eden looked at me with a slightly surprised expression. "Hey. Yeah, I'm still here. And I'm really glad your boyfriend had the decency to refrain from making out with you in front of my locker," I teased her with a grin.
Eden’s POV:
I cleared my throat, clearly embarrassed. Her statement made me want to curl up and disappear because that’s exactly what I wanted Sterling to do. Although not in front of her locker, of course. Just the first part.
“Sorry about that…” I coughed awkwardly. “Anyway, let’s go to class.”
(He'll get to it later, Eden! We promise you.
(Yup!)
Sterling's POV:
Apparently, I hadn't learned my lesson on sneaking up on Eden from this morning because that was exactly what I was doing right now. When I reached her, I wrapped my arms around her waist and spun her around, grinning.
"Lunch! And alone time with my beautiful girlfriend!" I declared happily.
Eden's POV:
I'd like to say I didn't react badly but then I'd be lying because that's exactly what I did. My mind went completely blank as someone wrapped their arms around me and spun me around. I didn't even connect the dots. No, my brain literally thought I was being jumped on and I jammed my elbow in whoever it was. I realized the person's words too late.
That whoever was my boyfriend.
Sterling's POV:
Okay, so I really shouldn't sneak up on her… I realized that as the breath was knocked out of me, and I quickly let go of her.
"Hm… 'Kay, I won't be doing that again," I muttered with a cough.
Eden’s POV:
My eyes widened and I immediately apologized.
“Shoot, I’m so sorry, Sterling,” I apologized, touching his cheek softly. “But seriously, I warned you! Why would you do that again?”
Sterling's POV:
"Um… Because I thought it would be cute?" I murmured with a shrug, leaning into her touch. "Don't worry about it. I should have listened to you."
Eden’s POV:
I pursued my lips. I was too paranoid, I know. It wasn’t normal, but I knew the second I started getting my reputation that I’d have to watch my back. I started working on my reflexes, and every time I was caught off guard, I’d get into a defensive mode.
And it ended up with me hurting my boyfriend.
“I’m sorry,” I apologized again, this time quietly. “I didn’t mean to do that. I… thought it was someone else… I didn’t hurt you that bad, right?”
Sterling's POV:
I shook my head, giving her a small smile. "I'm fine, Eden. Honestly. I was just a little winded. Don't worry about it, babe," I said softly. "Are you ready for lunch? I actually brought my own today."
Eden’s POV:
I chewed on my lower lip before returning his smile.
“I’m not very hungry,” I answered quietly. “But it’s good that you got your own lunch. Lee’s alone today, so I thought we’d stick by her.”
Sterling’s POV:
I’ll admit, I was a little disappointed to hear that we wouldn’t be alone. That was okay, though. I knew Eden would want to stick with her friend so she wasn’t, even if Ashley did have other friends. I understood that, I guess.
“Oh. All right, sure. You should eat something, though, babe. It’s not good for you to just stop,” I said softly, reaching for her hand.
