(Oof… Sorry…):
Sterling's POV:
"Why, thank you. I do try, you know," I teased her with a chuckle, grinning. "I think it's one of my best qualities."

(It’s okay~)
Eden’s POV:
“Arrogant,” I muttered under my breath before staying silent, choosing to simply look at Sterling rather than talk.
Sterling's POV:
I rolled my eyes at the word. "If you say so, hun. At least I know when to stop, unlike some other guys," I said with a shrug.
Eden’s POV:
“You do know no one’s gotten that far trying to flirt with me, don’t you?” I asked playfully, an eyebrow raised. “Anyway, I need to change my clothes. They’re getting uncomfortable now.”
Sterling's POV:
I grinned at her innocently. "That's fine. I don't kind waiting," I said, hoping she would understand that I was teasing her.
Eden’s POV:
I stared at him for a second before letting my face fall on my pillow.
“You… think you’re such a tease, aren’t you?” I said, my voice cracking a little. Just imagining what he meant by that made me feel hot. Exactly what was he doing to me?
Sterling's POV:
I chuckled a bit and glanced around my room. "Sorry, Eden… I couldn't help myself. If you want to hang up, that's fine. I'll see you tomorrow, anyway. Maybe I could pick you up?"
Eden’s POV:
I bit my lower lip in thought.
“I don’t mind, but it would be strange considering my brother goes to the same school as me.”
Sterling's POV:
I shrugged and turned my attention back to my phone screen. "He can pick Ashley up, and they can hang out a bit. I'm sure he'd enjoy it, honestly. Also, you should come back so I can see your pretty face again."
Eden’s POV:
“Lee loves her Jeep,” I pointed out like it was obvious. Which, in fact, it was. Everyone knew how much Ashley treasured her Jeep. “She’d rather pick Luke up than the other way around. And no, I prefer you staring at the ceiling due to your comments.”
Sterling's POV:
"Well, then, she can pick him up," I amended my statement with another shrug. "But, E, please? C'mon, babe, I miss looking at you. The ceiling isn't near as beautiful to look at as you are."
Eden’s POV:
I smiled before obliging, shifting the camera so it pointed at me rather than the ceiling.
“All right,” I finally agreed. “6:30 in the morning, then.”
Sterling's POV:
I grinned at her as soon as she moved the camera back to her face. "There… Much better… Why so early, Eden? School doesn't start until 7:45."
Eden's POV:
"Ah, right," I ruffled my hair. "It's fine, I'll go on my own. I need to get there early today."
Sterling’s POV:
“Oh, no, it’s fine. I’ll still pick you up. I was just curious,” I said, shaking my head. “Sorry, Eden.”
Eden’s POV:
I shook my head.
“It’s fine,” I repeated. “I’ll see you before class starts. It wouldn’t be fun for you to go early.”
Sterling’s POV:
I sighed and looked up at the ceiling. “Honestly, it’s not a big deal. I can get some work done while I’m there. It’ll be nice and quiet.”
Eden's POV:
I still didn't know what I did to deserve this man. I regretted agreeing with him in the first place because I didn't want him to lose sleep because I needed to go to school early. Still, he wouldn't listen.
"Okay," I finally replied quietly. "You should sleep, then."
(Skip?)
Sterling’s POV:
I arrived at the McArthur residence at 6:25 am and parked in their driveway. Pulling out my phone, I sent Eden a quick text.
STERLING: Hey, Eden. I’m here whenever you’re ready. 😉😘
Eden’s POV:
I was slowly drinking my coffee, tapping on my phone, playing the new game I just recently downloaded when I received a message from my bo—from Sterling. I immediately opened it.
I smiled softly before standing up, walking towards the door. I already informed my parents about my early leave, so I had that out of the way.
I opened the door and was greeted by Sterling’s car.
“Good morning,” I greeted when I reached him. “You’re five minutes early.”
Sterling's POV:
I grinned and climbed out of my car to wrap my arms around her waist. "That I am. Are you surprised?" I chuckled, my eyes flicking across her face as I refrained from kissing her. For now. "I wanted to see you, and the earlier the better."
Eden’s POV:
It seems I’ve got a long way before I get used to this affection, I thought to myself. Sterling’s actions sent a jolt through me and I had to fight hard to prevent myself from shivering because of his touch.
“I somehow expected you would,” I murmured in reply, looking at him in the eyes, my hands gripping his arms tightly. Had I been a bit taller, I would have been able to wrap my arms around his neck. I could barely reach his head at all. “You do realize you won’t see me after we reach school, right?”
Sterling's POV:
I shrugged and bent down to press a soft kiss to her forehead. "Hence the reason I'm here now. A little extra time to spend with you."
Eden’s POV:
I sighed softly, resting my forehead against his chest, feeling tingly all over.
“Have you ever met my father, Sterling?” I questioned curiously.
Sterling's POV:
I hummed, thinking back before I nodded slowly. "Yes, I have. Once or twice. Though he was really talking to my father about business things, while I stood nearby and watched the interaction. He seems like a great guy, from what I've seen and heard."
