Sterling’s POV:
I couldn’t stop. I was quickly becoming addicted to the feeling of her lips on mine, moving perfectly in sync. I knew that if I didn’t stop soon, I might never stop. But I didn’t want to. I wanted her. I just wanted her…
“Oh? Sorry, babe,” I teased before biting down gently on her lower lip. If she wanted to pull back, that was fine, but I couldn’t stop…
Eden’s POV:
I couldn’t help it. A muffled groan escaped from my lips as Sterling bit my lip and I felt my cheeks getting hot. I wouldn’t be surprised if I resembled a tomato. If he heard it, he was bound to comment. And when Sterling teased me… well, I got flustered. A lot.
Sterling’s POV:
I smirked a bit against her lips, having heard the noise. For some reason, it just sent shivers through me. And I enjoyed that feeling… So I nipped at her lip again, running my tongue across it to get another reaction out of her.
Eden’s POV:
My legs shook and my knees buckled. Him teasing me like this… I doubt I could stand any longer. When he nipped at my lip and ran his tongue across it, another unfamiliar noise escaped my lips. Why did he like to tease me so much? I wanted to turn the tables on him, but I felt too powerless. Is that what happens when you like someone?
“You know, although I support you both, please stop making out on my car,” my brother’s voice interrupted us, making me groan again but this time, out of frustration. “And God, Sterling, that’s my little sister. At least kiss her where I can’t see you both.”
Sterling’s POV:
Well… That certainly worked to get me to pull away…
I sighed and did so, glancing at him out of the corner of my eye. “Sorry, Lucas… I’ll try to remember that next time,” I joked, smirking a little.
A choked laugh cane from near him, and I reased Eden to turn around. Ashley was standing beside her boyfriend, looking incredibly amused at finding us in this situation. My cheeks burned as I finally realized they’d just seen me making out with their best friend/twin sister.
Eden’s POV:
I cleared my throat, pushing Sterling away from me. I quickly fixed my hair and my clothes, embarrassed to have my best friend and old brother catching me in such a position. I shot Sterling a glare, silently telling him that I would get him back.
“Are we done here?” I finally asked, my voice shaking slightly.
“I don’t know,” Lucas mused. “Are we, guys?”
Sterling’s POV:
Yeah… I was sure my face was bright red from Lucas’ teasing. Clearing my throat, I stepped away from Eden a bit more. I needed to clear my head after that kiss… It was already replaying in my mind.
“Yeah. Yeah, we’re done… Um… think I’m just going to head home, now. Maybe stop and get ice cream or something,” I said with a shrug as I dug my keys out of my pocket.
Eden’s POV:
I looked at Sterling, not wanting him to leave. But it was already nine in the night. It was late.
I was aware of Sterling’s red face and although it pleased me to see him embarrassed, I couldn’t help but be disappointed that it wasn’t because of me.
I got closer to him, ignoring my brother and best friend and stood on my toes, grabbed Sterling’s collar and pulled him down to capture his lips in mine.
It was a quick kiss and I pulled away quickly.
“Be careful,” I murmured. “All right?”
Sterling’s POV:
My eyes widened at the sudden kiss, and she pulled away before I could respond. I leaned over to return it just as quickly as she’d given it.
“Of course. I’ll see you later, sweetheart. I’ll text you, actually,” I said softly, grinning down at her. I pulled out of her grasp and smiled at the other two. “See you guys later.”
Eden’s POV:
I was definitely not going to be able to sleep tonight, I just knew it. The sweet names that rolled down Sterling sent shivers down my spine, and I knew that would be all I would think about tonight.
“You’d better,” I said to him threatingly, narrowing my eyes.”
“See you tomorrow,” Lucas nodded.
(I gotta go now)
Sterling’s POV:
I was surprised that my legs could actually carry me to my car. I would have thought that they would have buckled from everything that had just happened.
When I got to my car and sat down inside, I couldn’t help but grin widely and let myself celebrate a little bit. I drove home, greeted my parents and my brother with that same stupid grin, and made my way up to my bed room. As soon as I was there, I pulled out my phone.
I know I had told Eden I’d text her, but I changed my mind. I dialed her number, hoping she’d pick up the voice call.
Eden’s POV:
With everything that happened today, to say that I was exhausted would be an understatement. Ashley tried to tease me, but I decided to tune her out by plugging my earphones in and blasting songs in a high volume. We dropped off Ashley and went home. I immediately went straight to my room, flopping down on my bed and heaved a tired yet happy sigh.
I touched my lips, the feeling of touching Sterling’s crossing my mind. My phone began to ring and I begrudgingly picked it up. It was a number I couldn’t recognize. I’m glad I didn’t choose to hang up because the person who greeted me was the person I wanted to hear from.
Sterling’s POV:
I grinned as soon as she answered. “Well, hey there, sweetheart. You home safe?” I asked, my voice teasing, as usual.
Eden’s POV:
Here we go again. *Sweetheart. The pet name. Sterling had a very smooth tongue, didn’t he? Mom once mentioned dad is like that, too. I suppose it’s a quality rich men have.
“Considering the fact that I answered your call…” I started to answer. “Yes, Sterling. I reached home safe.”
Sterling's POV:
I shrugged and smirked at her. "Hey, for all I knew, you were talking to me from the car," I joked with a chuckle. "Honestly, though… I'm very glad you answered because I can't stop thinking about you. Even on my way home, I was thinking about you."
Eden’s POV:
A smile took over my lips. I was glad I was in my room. I rolled over on to my stomach, kicking my legs in the air.
“Is that so?” I murmured, the smile getting larger. “Makes me feel special.”
Sterling's POV:
"Oh, does it? Well, good. It should make you feel special. I don't constantly thing about just anyone, you know," I teased as my charming smile returned.
Eden’s POV:
I rolled my eyes although the smile was still present on my face.
“I think you should be the one feeling special,” I said nonchalantly.
Sterling's POV:
My smile softened and I sighed. "I do, Eden, believe me. I still can't believe you actually fell for me. So thank you for that."
Eden’s POV:
I sighed deeply, my smile softening up.
“That’s not what I meant,” I said. “But Ry, that’s all you. I should be the one thanking you for looking my way.”
Sterling's POV:
"If you hadn't actually given me a chance, though, this never would have happened. So, I guess this is technically on both of us," I chuckled, my gaze flicking over her eyes on the screen. "You know… This camera doesn't do your eyes justice…"
(Wait, wasn’t this a voice call?)
(Video call. Lol. Sorry, I should have clarified that better.)
(🤣🤣 I was making Eden act like that since Sterling couldn’t see her. 🤣)
Sterling's POV:
"If you hadn't actually given me a chance, though, this never would have happened. So, I guess this is technically on both of us," I chuckled, my gaze flicking over her eyes on the screen. "You know… This camera doesn't do your eyes justice…"
Eden’s POV:
I scoffed to prevent myself from blushing.
“Your smooth tongue amazes me, Sterling,” I shook my head. “You surprise me every time.”
