You won't succeed. There will always be someone, somewhere, suffering like you did. You can't even come close to saving everybody - why try? Alissa chuckles. And even if you could save them all, what would you do next? Kill the ones that cause that sort of abuse? You're not a killer. You need to win every battle, while I. . . I only need to win once.
He huffs, You have no idea… he chuckles, I’ve already made someone to do the killing for me…
(GASP- IS HE MENTIONING KATHY?!?!)
(Possibly XD)
That's wonderful darling. But there's always someone else. Alissa laughs. There's always someone else to cause that damage. You'll never truly win.
He huffs, going silent. He pulls out his phone, completely zoning out. It seemed like his mind was completely cut off from her. Like it was ripped away from her. Once that happened, his existence seemed to disappear.
(the worst part is she's completely right about that-)
Alissa smirks to herself, her job done for the night.
(Yep- he knows it honestly-)
The next morning, Ares was still in his void, seeming to not even exist. His had put on headphones and was blasting music, trying to rid his ears of the loud ringing noise. He already knew he couldn’t defend himself from her, so why even try to go back? There was no point in trying anymore. He didn’t care. All he was focused on, was attempting to bring back his sister. Of course it wouldn’t be perfect, but he could keep her in a separate universe. Somewhere truly safe. He sighs, closing his eyes. The brightness from his already dim phone screen seemed to burn through his eyes.
(Hmmm. . . I have a few ideas now)
Alissa wakes up slowly and stretches, the slim but defined muscles of her body rippling like a cat's. She was in nothing but a set of lacy black lingerie - because she wanted to look fantastic even while she slept. She knew her body was flawless, anyways. No point in hiding perfection.
She steps out of her room, looking at the slaves that were kneeling next to the door, on either side of it. "Up. Grab me my black dress. You know which one."
They jump to their feet and smartly step off to the left, where they turned and swept down the hall, their bare backs showing evidence of whip lashes and burns.
She herself, in the meantime, slithers a chain into Ares's mind, sinking a spike deeply into his psyche. Hello friend.
He winces, Can you not be so loud? Damn. he huffs, scrolling through his phone. What do you want? I’m kinda busy deciding to not exist here. he rolls his eyes.
Well, sorry you feel that way. Alissa snorts insincerely. I'm trying to get a sense of all the ways your mind works, and it's very difficult.
The slaves bring back the dress and Alissa smiles, slipping it on.
Oh, and I was also wondering about something. . . when you see a homeless man or woman, what's your first reaction? she asks.
He huffs, I’ve been homeless before. So I’m sympathetic towards them and I try to help. I’m not a dick.
He grumbles, And yeah my minds ‘difficult’. Dumbass. he shakes his head.
That's all I needed, thanks. Alissa chuckles.
I'm no dumber than the average speck of dust that is a human. she replies.
Ares huffs, Don’t even expect me to do anything. I don’t care anymore…
That was one of the things he lived by. If things became to much, he just decided to cut himself off, out of sight out of mind…
Sure you won't kid. Alissa laughs.
She breaks the contact but leaves the mental spike in his head, buried deep.
She makes her way out of the house and looks up at the sky, a deep blue sapphire color. She grins.
"I know exactly how to get his attention." she hums, breaking into a jog towards downtown.
Ares grumbles, staying curled up and on his phone. Did…he really just not care? Guess so. The empty look in his eyes sure proved it.
After a few minutes, she finds a suitable building.
A homeless shelter.
Because, of course, if Ares really cared he'd show up.
She starts rounding people up and bringing them to the biggest rooms; screams of fear echo through the halls as, when some try and resist, people explode into messy chunks of flesh and bone.
Ares whimpers, closing his eyes. Eventually, he appears right in front of her. “What is wrong with you?! There are CHILDREN here!”
He seemed to really only care about children. Maybe it was just his whole motives. But why?
Amelia hums. "Children. I hate them, you know. Always so loud and needy. I like the quiet ones. They listen better than most and are easier to train."
"I haven't killed any of them though. Not yet at least." she shrugs. "This is just a slave round-up. I don't kill the ones that listen."
He growls, “You will leave the children and their family’s alone.” He snarls, seeming to grow in size. 5ft, 6ft, 7ft, all the way to 8ft. He towered over her, snarling. His eyes seemed to change from their dark brown, to a glowing purple.
Alissa stares up at Ares, unflinching.
"None of that." she sighs, his leg bones shattering beneath him and his ribs cracking violently.
"They have no families, that's why they're here." she says simply.
He gasps, squeezing his eyes shut. “You…know…” he coughs out blood, “You…really just show me that youre like everyone else…” he looks at her.
"Oh, go cry about it to someone else." Alissa says dismissively.
She looks back at the homeless people and selects 5 of the best looking ones.
"You, you, you, you and you - stand up." she commands. They all obey. "The rest of you. . . I'm feeling generous today. So you all get to live."
Ares stays silent, hoping she would actually keep her word. He knew from experience that if he kept his mouth shut, he might just get his way. Just stay quiet.
Amelia turns and smiles at Ares.
"See? I'm not all bad." she says, jokingly. "Anyhow, good-bye!"
She walks out of the shelter, her newest slaves following after her.
He grips his side, looking at everyone. “I’m sorry…” he vanishes back to his void, crumpling to the ground. “Gods- this is gonna take forever-“
