A distant ringing in her ear slowing turned into a small kitten meowing once she fluttered her drowsy eyes open and gained a sense of proper hearing. The white ball of fur jumped up onto her lap and meowed in Seo Hyeons face until she stroked its cotton soft fur, the vibration of its purrs making her want to go back to sleep. She was having quite the good dream too.
She shook herself awake and quickly grabbed her phone, swiping to notes and writing down the basics of her dream before she could forget about it so she could write it in more detail later.

Slipping her pale hands underneath the purring kitten, she set it aside after kissing the top of its head. “I golly goodness…” she mumbled, rubbing her eyes as she looked at the time “Phoebe, you woke me up earlier than i planned” she says to her cat, one of her only friends. Usually she would have snuck out of her room in the middle of the night and sleep with her brother which he hated. She didn't get it, but it was fine. She never minded, thinking it was always rather sweet. Now the cat checks to see if he's there every single day.
Soon, she got dressed, a pastel pink sweater and a black skirt with thigh high leggings. Her shoes were downstairs at the door, so she tried not to slip on the hardwood floor with the slick leggings over her feet. Fixing her hair so it wasnt an absolute mess and a dash of makeup, mostly eyeliner and some mascara so she didnt look like the albino freak she thought she looked like. Some lip gloss to top it all off, she smiled at herself in the mirror as she did every morning to start off her day.
Once she opened the door Phoebe jumped off of the bed and her small fluffy body ran out of the room to her brothers room. They passed it every morning down stairs and every night to bed. She was reminded every day that her brother was in a mental ward, sentenced to death in about a year or two. Why? Because he was protecting his mother and his little sister.
She turned away from his door, a stolen “Trespassing” sign nailed to his door with caution tape around it to keep people out. His rooms been the same ever since, but she didnt bother so much as touching the cold to the touch silver doorknob.
Lightly, she stepped downstairs only to see her mother sleeping on the couch again, the blanket halfway off of her body. She smiled, kissing her mothers cheek before grabbing her bag and slipping her shoes on and opening the wooden door to the cold morning air outside.

Sire shoved his hands in his pockets, narrowing his eyes. It was too early to be here already.
Though, every morning, he’d go out on the balcony and watch the sun rise over the academy. On-campus living had its perks. Sire basked in the bittersweet rays of sunshine, a slight smile resting on his face. The oranges, yellows, and pinks delighted him. It certainly was a beautiful view.
As was the school. Beautiful, that is. Large glass buildings with multiple stories and classrooms, all looking out at the rest of the breathtaking city. Mountains rose in the distance, as did the ever-glowing sun.
His eyes darted back and forth as he watched students begin to arrive. Sire… wasn’t allowed to leave campus. He hated it most of the time, but for him it was more like house-arrest. Being the son of the headmaster really pushed his buttons sometimes. Especially when the headmaster wouldn’t tell him why he couldn’t leave.
But Sire’s curiosity could be roped in at bay. Sure, he wanted to know what was outside the monumental gates surrounding campus, but was it really that necessary? He could devise a plan to leave, but what would he do once he was outside? He didn’t know the city… but did he really need to find it out?
So instead he stood there, on the balcony of his dorm, hands in pockets and yellow eyes reflecting the sunrise. The rays warmed him— something only the first day of spring could ever do.

Sire turned, hesitating before going back inside. He took one more look at the morning sky, then closed his eyes. He filled his lungs with air, exhaling moments after. He slithered through his dorm room, just dully noticing the ragged bed cloth and tattered posters of famous heroes on his walls. It was mainly plain, with just a small cot and coffee table over a shaggy carpet. His favorite part was, of course, the balcony.
He moved gracefully down the hallway, subconsciously trying to avoid as many people as he could. He stepped gingerly down the spiral staircase, soon making his way to the main courtyard. A large number of students had shown by now, all looking about as groggy as he. Mondays were never a high-energy time of week.
Sire took up a position at the far edge of the courtyard, propping himself on the wall and hanging his head low, his eyes closing. If he looked as tired as he felt, someone might think he was sleeping. His black sweatshirt matched his hair, as well as the dark circles under his eyes.
Suddenly, they flicked open, the bright yellow orbs beginning to follow passing students periodically. He hated crowded hallways, but his class was close.
Well, not like he was going, anyway. He hadn’t yet decided.

Right outside parked a smooth white motorcycle. Her only means of transportation now, it was quite annoying. Especially on cold mornings like this. Why did she live off campus again?
Oh right, to take care of her mom. Which she loved doing, but it got exhausting at times.
The cold silver keys swung around and around her finger as she hopped on her motorcycle, pulling her hair up into a fluffy bun before pulling her helmet over her head, inserting the keys in the egnition and the smell of burning gas would have filled her lungs if it weren’t for her helmet. It only ever happened whenever it started after a while. It was annoying at first, but she’s used to it.
Seo Hyeon admired the view as she flew past the houses in her small neighborhood by the woods right out side of town. Thinking about how she would describe such detail. The contract of the fluffy clouds dotting the sky every now and then to the oranges and yellows, how they mixed well with the pink. Oh it was a lovely day.
If it weren’t for her warm jacket, she would be absolutely freezing as the wind blew past her. But now only her legs were. Which she absolutely hated.
Accidentally running a red light, no one was around to see it, she sped up as she headed towards the big building. “Why are the mornings so cold” she repeated to herself as she drove, shivering.

Soon the girl pulled up to the giant parking lot near the side front of the building. She slipped off her helmet and let her hair fall down of the makeshift bun she had pulled up without a hair tie earlier and down to her knees dancing across her small back. Shoving the keys into the pocket of her skirt (which she was absolutely hyped about when she found out) before making sure the bike was securely locked to the metal bars specifically mended onto the concrete for motorcycles to be secured.
Taking a deep breath in, the white haired girl stepped into the building. Nervous little four leafed clovers fell behind her from her hand and onto the floor, leaving a trail behind her.
“Today’s going to be a good day” she says to herself smoothing out the ruffles of her skirt and shivering a bit, taking off her jacket and making sure she had her back on her back and her phone.
Passing a guy on her way to class, her bright eyes looked up at him with an innocent look. The son of the headmaster? She was pretty sure that was him. Man, he was pretty hot she did admit.
Though never ever voiced it. Instead she offered a bright smile and a wave as she fell into a bouncy step beside the boy. “Good morning!~” she says sweetly, still trying to wake herself up. And what a better way to do that than social interaction! (Horrible advice)

@PaperHats business

Sire raised an eyebrow, his mesmerizing golden eyes flitting up to the girl. He noted the way she carried herself, and her big eyes with her clear skin. She reminded him of a cartoon. Perfect and bubbly.
“Good morning,” he replied, his voice deeper than someone would think. It held a solemn yet calm melody, and resonated through the otherwise busy air, crowded alongside the other voices in the hall.
They were almost the same height, her carrying herself tall and Sire doing almost the complete opposite. His shoulders were rounded over, his spine pushing brutally against the wall as he leaned back. He carried out the typical “bad boy” posture, and his harsh gaze did anything but contradict it. He would have given back a smile, though he wasn’t sure if he could handle it. Right now, the only thing he could manage to think was how bad he needed coffee.

He gave the girl a nod as he greeted her. He wasn’t sure if he had ever seen her around. She looked a bit familiar, but wasn’t positive. Though… her eyes seemed unforgettable as his met them. His own optics softened just a bit, and he kept his hands shoved tight in his pockets.
He took a deep breath, adverting his attention back to the brisk morning air. He had expected the girl to continue walking, but when she took up a post beside him, he wasn’t sure what to do. He wasn’t really the best in the social department. Though he kept his heart beat at ease, using his sheer will to keep blades from sticking through his skin. The gauntlets on his arms clinked together as he shifted his position, taking his weight from one foot to the other.
His eyes occasionally shifted from the sky to the courtyard, to the girl beside him. She was… she was quite pretty, he’d give her that.
Involuntarily his heart began to beat a slight bit faster. With that, he took another deep breath, noticing his gauntlets strapped tight against his arms. He moved one of his hands to brush the hair from his eyes, just so he could manifest something else to focus on.

@Celeste_X0X0_ group

Seo Hyeon was a bit surprised at how deep his voice was. She liked it. It sounded really cool to her, and hot. She did admit.
Studying the boys posture, it was obvious he was probably one of those edgy kids who skipped all of the classes they didnt want to go to. Was he skipping? He was’nt walking anywhere as she planned to do. He just stayed leaned against the wall. She figured he was skipping class, which she had no control over.
Studying the rest of him, her eyes gazing upon his beauty a little longer than she should have, she noted his dark circles and his dark clothing. She could tell he wasnt one of those try-hards.

She looked up at him with a small head tilt like a puppy at his slight change of expression before she realized the gauntlets. Her eyes brightened as she realized what they must be for. “Hey, so what’re those for? “ she asked, swaying her body back and forth like a little girl. She assumed they were for his powers, but it never hurt to ask! It was more of a conversation starter than anything.

She had no cool powers or anything so she never shared anything about herself, but she always loved hearing what other people were born with. It was always so interesting to her.
A small four leafed clover grew in the palm of her hand as she talked, subconsciously fiddling with it at her fingertips now.

(Sorry its a bit short)

@PaperHats business

Sire’s eyes looked over to the girl for a moment, then at his own gauntlet. He cocked his head slightly. No one had ever really cared. No one had ever really asked.

Honestly, Sire didn’t understand his power much either. At least, why he was at this school. He had control over it for the most part, and he never hurt anyone. His power was stable, and useful. For him, at least. Sure, it occasionally pinched his skin or tore his flesh, but honestly the boy didn’t mind.
Scars ran up and down his arms, mainly. He didn’t generate blades much anywhere else, unless he was nervous. Then, there was no telling where a blade would show. The worst ones happened around his eyes, where small scars could be seen just below the bottom lid, lining his cheekbone. He hated those. Well, he mostly just hated getting nervous.

Snapping himself back to the present, he held out an arm stiff in front of him. Through a small slit in his gauntlet shot forth a shining iridium blade, thin and lethal. It twinkled almost beautifully in the morning sunlight, looking just the slightest bit transparent. The black blade held a sort of burgundy glimmer, with tints of reds and purples.
“Blade manifestation,” he said plainly, his melodic voice drifting once more. “Up to two feet, but I rarely have a use for a long blade.”
His eyes drifted from his own thick gauntlet to the girl’s diminutive hands, those in which held a small clover. Sire raised an eyebrow, repressing a small smirk.
“What’s yours?” he asked, though it sounded more like a statement. His eyes were still tired, but definitely housed more of a glow now. Whether it was just a mask for social situations, or he actually enjoying the conversation, he didn’t know. What he did was that this girl… well, he liked her spirit. It gave him just the slightest hope for his own, but he pushed the thought down quickly.

The blade on his arm slid back into place. He pulled a small wire on the gauntlet, and the compartment slit slid shut. With that, he stuffed his hand back in his sweatshirt pocket, still giving the girl a sort of inquisitive look.

@Celeste_X0X0_ group

Hey eyes widened and she yet out the smallest little yelp as she stepped back when the blade shot out of his arm. “Oh wowsers!” She exclaimed as she got closer to it. Her wide eyes obviously entranced by the blade. How he did it without at least wincing in pain was a mystery to her. She looked up to him with a sweet smile “Thats so beautiful!” Seo Hyeon looked back at the gorgeous blade before it slipped back into the gauntlet and he pulled a wire. She would love to know how the mechanics of it all works.
Opening her mouth to say something, he spoke first and she looked down to her pale hand with the clover in it. A few more clovers and small daisies grew out of her hands before she held them up to him. “This and a little bit of healing” she smiled shyly at him. “Its nothing special or cool” she says taking a bigger daisy from the small pickle of flowers and clovers from her hair and put it behind his ear. “But its kind of pretty i guess.” She says with a small laugh.

(Okay but it’d be cute if like whenever he got cut from his blade peircing his skin she would heal him so he wouldnt get as many scars. Idk, just a cute idea)

@PaperHats business

Sire flinched slightly when the girl slipped the flower behind his ear. His skin tingled as about a 5 inch blade shot from his opposite shoulder. It tore his sweatshirt, and a slight bit of his skin. Any time he didn’t have the help of his gauntlets, it hurt him. A small drop of blood began soaking into the cloth, as the blade retracted. He hated when that happened.
He cursed inwardly, hoping the girl hadn’t seen. Though her big, stormy eyes examined him with a sense of innocent glee that made his heart beat just a bit faster than he wished.
He gave a sort of nervous look, one of his hands flying to his shoulder. At least it had been the one on the other side— so it couldn't have hit his company.

He glanced over at her, about to apologize. The bright yellow at the center of the daisy brought out his eyes even more.

Sire had to admit, he didn’t like how off-guard he was around the girl. He didn’t seem like himself. She made him… nervous. Tense. But something about her just made him… want to stay there. However, the blade that had just shot out of his shoulder had apparently said otherwise.

@Celeste_X0X0_ group

(ah, Sire's so cute :3)

She quickly jumped back, dropping all of the fragile plants to the ground. She looked at him with wide eyes and her smile was gone for a second, replaced with slight fear and shock. Was that a warning? Oh she knew she shouldn't have done that. Starting to overthink everything now, she stepped back. "oh golly… I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-" she looked away, her hands held up to her chest keeping them away from him hoping he wouldn't get mad at her for touching him. She's been working on for a while now getting better at talking to males, as she's been so badly hurt from her stepfather not even a year ago. She still flinched if someone so much as tried to give her a high five. Her mother said that it would help if she were more open, and she tried. Obviously she was too friendly. "I didn't mean to make you mad" she stepped back again before noticing the blood. "oh my goodness, are you okay? " she asked concerned, though still keeping her distance.

@PaperHats business

(So is Seo Hyeon :D loved the flower move)

Sire’s face was twisted in a sort of apologetic, frantic, and confused expression all at once. He held out his gauntleted hands but pulled back quickly, taking almost a full step back. He could clearly feel the flower in his hair, almost as if it were burning against his skin. But possibly that was the blood rushing to his cheeks, giving his face a rosy hue.
“N-no,” he stuttered, giving an apologetic and nervous smile. Though it was small and unexaggerated, it was still clearly there. Though… it could be classified as more of a grimace or wince.
“It’s alright,” he explained frantically. “It just does that sometimes. I’m n-not mad.”
Sire’s eyes caught the plants on the ground, then the look of fear in the girl’s eyes. His heart sank as he noted her hasty words. The sudden emotion caused yet another blade to poke out of his chest, however it wasn’t big enough to puncture his sweatshirt again. It was most likely just a small scratch.
At her last question, he looked from his shoulder to her, taking a moment to register.
“O-oh, this?” he asked, his face still red, if not saturating in the color by the second. “It’s— no, I’m okay. I’m okay, yeah.”
He adverted has gaze, still standing stiffly away from the girl. His eyes turned from the hardened amber to more of the look of a guilty dog.
“S-Sorry,” he said, rubbing the back of his head with a hand. “I didn’t mean to.”

@Celeste_X0X0_ group

(Ah, I’m glad you did XD)

She was so mixed up with emotions as well, she didnt move for a little bit. Frozen in her steps. Great, the first time she actually tried to interact with a guy she screwed it up. She panicked a little bit more when something bulged out of his chest, assuming it was a blade.
Small green clovers fell from the girls hair and to the floor around her small feet as she began to worry even more about his wound. She felt bad for him, as his power was so self destructive.
Her face was clearly sun burnt red as plenty of heat than she would have liked. Her cold snowy white freckled a little more noticeable now.
“No, i- uh” she stammered on her own words. It felt like she was trying to rap one of Eminem’s songs but her tongue got all tied trying to do it.
“You dont need to be sorry. I just thought i was being annoying. I’m sorry i touched you without permission” she says, releived that he wasnt mad. Or was he and he was just being polite!?!?
no you idiot! Stop over exaggerating!” she mentally slapped herself in the face and in the right mindset. Looking up at the boy, only by a little due to his posture she she smiled a little “I’m sorry. I’m not very good at socializing…. please forgive me” she says with a small bow, as shes done ever since she was little since she lived in Korea for a little bit of her life before her biological father died.
“Do you need help with that? I can try and heal it?” She offered, voice a little softer now that she wasnt panicking. Though inside, she totally was. Hopefully he didnt realize.

@PaperHats business

Sire’s face showed nothing but a look of confusion, like a small deer in headlights. Or like someone who was having trouble understanding a situation. Mostly that second one.
“R-really?” he stuttered. His hand was latched to the front of his arm over the front of him, in a sort of closed off stance. He tried his best to calm his eyes— as that’s where the majority of his emotions lied. He was trying to reign his own nervousness and antisocial demeanor in, at least for her sake. He noted that the emotions possibly built off one another, so he offered a small smile. It was crooked and more of a smirk, but his sincere eyes were what gave it the genuine flair.
“You can?” he asked, turning slowly toward her again. He was careful to not make any sudden moves, tilting his head cautiously. With a smooth motion, he began to shake his head, dipping his posture once more.
“I-I mean, I’m okay,” he said. “It’s alright. Happens all the time. Really, no need to worry.”
He slowly rolled up a sleeve, which was previously getting caught in the wire of his gauntlet. He unraveled it, then bunched it up slightly past the elbow. Small white streaks could be seen criss-crossing through his mocha skin. Scars, no doubt. He had plenty.
Sire gave a little shrug, putting his hands back in his pocket and glancing over at his shoulder. It wasn’t one of the terrible ones he’d get from a jump scare or some other sudden deep emotion— those normally stretched out further. The longer and larger the blade manifested, the bigger the cut— the thicker the scar.

@Celeste_X0X0_ group

Her heart twisted in her chest when she looked at all of his scars. But she tried to ignore it, wishing she could heal those. It wasnt a wound anymore. There was no hurt to be healed there, so she didnt try. She has before though, no doubt.
Her small soft hand reached up to his arm as her other one lay gently on his shoulder where the blade had cut. Blood getting on her hands was nothing she was worried about it. She couldn’t reverse time or anything, so the blood stayed but the wound quickly clotted with blood, drying it up and scabbing over then soon layers of skin folding over it with only a faint scar hardly noticeable. “Sorry I couldn’t do anything about your shirt” she says as her hand slowly moved back to her own body, letting go of his arm. He was warm.. she liked that. She was always so cold, she could just cuddle up in a blanket in front of a warm lit fire place the whole day with a cup of hot chocolate with whipped cream and those special little marshmallows in it watching yet another cheesy hallmark romance movie.

“I’m Seo Hyeon by the way” she says with a small smile, mostly smiling at his rather cute smirk. He made her feel so nervous and jittery already. Though obviously because of the circumstances.
“You can call me CC if you would like though” she says looking away, twirling yet another small clover in her hand. She would clean up the flowers spilled on the floor in a little bit. Hopefully.

@PaperHats business

“Seo Hyeon,” he repeated in a breath, looking at his shoulder in a bewildered manner. He kept the same expression, but his words gave his thoughts away completely. This girl was something else. But, he already had known that.
His eyes flicked back over and he gave a small nod, fiddling with his hands within his sweatshirt pocket.
“N-nice to meet you,” he said. “I’m Sire. Sire Thomas.”
He resisted to urge to hold out a hand to shake hers. He was afraid he might stick out one of his stupid blades again. He didn’t want to hurt her. Or anyone, really. But mainly her. For some reason he felt protective— an emotion he was rarely acquainted with.
Sire was now fully unaware of the flower still in his hair. His mind had wandered elsewhere.
Sire normally didn’t care for anyone. He was sort of the lone wolf— if that lone wolf was a teenager and went to a supernatural high school. Of course, the other students would expect the son of the headmaster to have a social personality, though Sire was an exception.
Thinking of which, Sire glanced up at the clock tower standing on the opposite side of the school. Class had started about five minutes ago, but Sire wouldn’t be bothered. Not only did he not care, but he had other plans today. Of those being sitting on the roof of his dorm and listening to music.
However, he wasn’t bothered with who had stopped him from doing so. As he looked back to CC, his heart skipped gleefully. The feeling was unnatural to him… but he didn’t hate it.
