"Oh! Thank you!" Hana grinned and trotted after him, carrying the few things he'd allowed her to hold. She sat down beside him in the classroom and thanked Min-Hyuk again as she got her things back from him. "Spanish is super easy. I think you'll do great!" She grinned brightly and started doodling another person in her sketchbook.
He knew Spanish plenty, which is why he skipped. He didn't see the need to learn any more.
But since she was so nice and enthusiastic about it all, he just nodded. "thanks" he says setting his own belongings down from his bag, looking over at her drawing once again. He wondered who she was drawing, but didn't ask. He wasnt that nosy.
Hana seemed to be drawing Min-Hyuk, actually, and glanced over at him every once in a while to get details right. Once class actually started, however, she put her notebook away and paid attention, taking notes whenever they were offered on the screen. She rested the end of her pen on her lower lip when she was thinking, which left a bit of her lipstick on the plastic.
He quickly picked up what she was doing, but kept watching as she did. Though looking away quickly every time she looked at him. He most likely wasn't quick enough to do so without her noticing of course.
Yeah, he was really dense in some, and most areas, but he wasn't that dense.
About 20 minutes in, he grabbed a paper and folded it into a small swan and flicked it over to her. He was obviously already bored as he filled out the paper assigned to them already. So, of course he was going to be distracting. He was extremely ADHD
Hana smiled brightly when she saw the swan, quickly doodling a swan beside the drawing of Min-Hyuk. She didn't need to pay too close attention, as she understood Spanish pretty well. She still paid attention of course, being a dutiful student and all, but she didn't have to watch quite as closely. She doodled throughout a large majority of the class, adding a couple more of Min when she got bored.
He looked at her doodles with a smile resting on his face. Well, it was more of a grin that was threatening to curve into a smile but never did.
Once the bell rang, all of the students packed their belonging and headed to their next class. Min-Hyuk stood and leaned on her desk.
"have you finished it yet?" he asked in a joking tone.
"Hmm?" She looked up at him, picking up her things again. "Oh! The drawings! Yeah, I think so. I mean, my doodles are never really finished, per se. I tend to just add onto them whenever I get bored, but I think I could consider them to be done!" She grinned brightly. "What class do you have next?"
"oh" he tilted his head a bit. But he completely understood what she meant. He was a digital artist, one of the only ways he made money nowadays. So he had plenty of unfinished drawings.
"could I see?" he asked after shrugged to her other question. He didn't know what class he had next. As he forgot that too
"Sure!" Hana set down her things and opened up her sketchbook, flipping it open to the page where she'd drawn Min-Hyuk. "I can draw more detailed things when I'm really trying to, but I usually just do these doodles during class to keep me occupied. I might have some pictures of my actual drawings if you're really interested."
He looked rather intently at the cute drawings. It was so different from his art, but he loved looking at them. Min-Hyuk smiled before leaned away from the sketchbook, trying to still act cool. So of course he pushed his smile down. “That’d be nice. To see i mean. Or…. yeah” he fumbled over his words for a second.
“If you want to show me, i would like to see them” Min finally got out, though still not the best at words.
"Alrighty!" Hana set down her notebook and pulled out her phone, which had a pink, kitten themed case. Not surprising. She scrolled through her gallery for a bit before she found her drawings. "Here! I drew a dragon a while back." She showed Min-Hyuk the picture. It was actually highly detailed, fluid, and realistic. Far different than her simple doodles.
He raised his eyebrows at the drawing and looked back at the girl, then at her doodles.
“Its so…different. I mean, its good but- i wasnt expecting that” he says with a breathy chuckle through his nose before he stood up straight, as he bent down a small bit to look at her phone.
In all honesty, he expected a cartoon style, or maybe an anime style? Not that.
“Ill have to show you some of my work” he says shoving his hands in his pockets.
The Spanish teacher watched the two interact with eachother with a smile on her face. As she found it incredibly odd for the two of them to be talking. They were from completely different sides of the school. The cute bubbly girl that everyone loved and the sketchy emo kid who beat people up on a daily basis.
"Thanks! I'd love to see some of your work!" Hana grinned and scrolled through her gallery a bit more until she found another drawing. "Here! I did a drawing of my dog, Lukia!" She showed the drawing to Min-Hyuk. This one was detailed and realistic as well. "It's easier to draw him because his fur is all white!" She giggled a bit. "He's super sweet. Do you have any pets?" She asked.
He couldn't help but admire the work, not really able to draw animals that well. He usually drew landscapes, cities, skies. Things like that. He wasn't the best at drawing people, but he wasn't bad at it either.
"my sister has a white kitten" he says shoving his hands in his pocket. "she got it since it matched her hair." he laughed a bit "her names Phoebe and for some reason it really loves me" he sighed
Soon the late bell rang and he almost jumped out of his skin "we should probably go"
"Aww, I love kittens!" Hana grinned. "Maybe I can meet her sometime!" She put her phone away and sighed contentedly. "Yeah, we should get going. What class did you say you had next?" She asked while she gathered her things and started walking out the classroom door.
Stepping right beside her, walking slow enough to fall in her step, as he usually walked pretty fast Min-Hyuk nodded. “That’d be nice. My sister would be more than happy to show anyone her cat” he chuckled
“Biology. Why i have to take biology and chemistry in the same year…i dont know” he rolled his eyes.
“What about you?” He turned to her, walking backwards, readjusting the strap of his bag on his shoulder, the hoodie strings of his vulgar red hoodie falling back and forth with each step he took.
"I have art class! It's on the way to biology, so we can walk together!" Hana grinned brightly and picked up the pace a bit so Min-Hyuk didn't have to slow down for her. "I've got chemistry after art class. Do you take art?" She asked. "You mentioned that you draw… obviously we're not in the same period, but it would be cool if we were!"
“Oh i have chemistry right after lunch. Which is…oh right after this next class” he says,
“No, i dont take art. I’m hoping to major in graphic design in college. If i get to it that is” he chuckled. Min-Hyuk didn’t know whether he would have a future or not. But he tried his best not to worry about that.
The only thing he was worried about was not tripping while he walked beside the girl.
"That could be fun! I hope that works out for you!" Hana chirped, her grin never fading. "I don't have a drawing tablet or anything, so I never really got into digital art. I like using colored pencils and markers, though!" She stopped once she reached her class. "See you later!" She waved and headed into the classroom.
"y-yeah.. See ya" he says offering a small wave before shoving his hands in his pockets. He let out a long sigh, his breath cold. That girl left him with a happy feeling. But that was probably because he never talked to anyone nice before other than his sister.
Min-Hyuk walked down the hallway, deciding to go to class. Why not? Right?
(Idk If he should run into Jake or not? I low-key want a fight lol. But I always love fights and drama so it doesn't matter lol)
(Sure lol)
Hana got herself settled down at a table and started working on her art project, which was a sculpture of a bird.
When Min-Hyuk rounded the corner, Jake was standing there waiting for him with his arms crossed. "What the hell is going on with you?" He asked in a gruff, pissy tone. "You never go to second period. Why now? What the hell are you planning?"
Min-Hyuk stopped and sighed when he saw Jake's annoying face. His voice irritating him even more. Just the thought of this kid made Min-Hyuk punch him.
"what are you, her guard dog? And since when do you stalk me? Creep" he rolled his eyes, for probably the 57th time today.
"I'm not her guard dog. I'm her friend, and she doesn't need to be hanging out with the likes of you." Jake crossed his arms and scoffed. "She may ignore what you've done, but I'm not going to. She doesn't need you to be doing the shit to her that you've been doing to other people."
"she's her own person. I don't think she needs you to tell her who she can and can't hang around. I'll do what I want and if you get in my way, im pounding your face into this wall. Got that?" he says with a condescending tone. No. He wasn't going to hurt her. He had no reason to. But hey if it gets to this dude, he was going to imply he was going to. Why? Because Min-Hyuks a douche bag who loves to annoy people.
Jake glared at Min-Hyuk for a few seconds,, shaking his head in distaste. "Like I said, if you touch her, you'll have a whole lot of pissed off people on your ass." He then walked off to go to his next class, still clearly very annoyed. He wasn't interested in giving Min-Hyuk a second chance or having any sort of camaraderie with him. Min-Hyuk didn't deserve it.
