Nathaniel whined when V left him, curling up tighter in the bed. He looked up when his fiance returned, and purred as the cool cloth returned to his head.
Nathaniel whined when V left him, curling up tighter in the bed. He looked up when his fiance returned, and purred as the cool cloth returned to his head.
“Let me know if it’s too cold, alright?” He murmured softly, settling beside him and gently stroking Nathaniel’s head with the towel
"Mmkay…" Nathaniel closed his eyes and sighed, trying his best to relax into the cool touch of the washcloth. "I wanna feel good again…"
“you will love, soon.” He replied, propping his head up on his free arm to be more comfortable. “Have you ever felt this sick before?”
"Mm… once…" Nathaniel coughed weakly. "Pretty soon after I got kicked out, actually. My body wasn't prepared to handle all the human diseases on earth and I was horribly sick for a while. Sicker than I am now."
He nodded, remembering back to when they had left heaven. V himself had never really gotten that sick but he imagined it was difficult for Nathaniel. “Was there anything that Urielle or Jarvis did before that helped you get better that we haven't tried yet?”
"Mmm… they made me drink a lot and take cold baths. And they made me drink some purpley liquid thing that tasted really bad…" Nathaniel coughed weakly again and huddled closer to V.
“Hm, probably cold medicine.” He said, thinking over what it specifically could be in case they could find it later. He wrapped an arm around Nathaniel, pulling him gently to his chest. “Cold now, angel?”
Nathaniel nodded stiffly and tucked his head under V's chin. He quivered in the other's arms, obviously frustrated and uncomfortable. He really just wanted to feel good again.
“Alright, let me know if you get too hot and I’ll let you go.” He said softly, flattening down Nathaniel’s wings and straightening out some of the ruffled feathers
"Mmkay…" Nathaniel yawned and huddled closer to V for comfort. "I just want it to go away… I wanna feel good…"
V gently ran his hand through Nathaniel’s and pressed soft kisses to his brow. “You will, Nath. You’ve been through worse. Just be patient and try to focus on getting better.”
"Mmm…" Nathaniel coughed a bit and curled up tighter. "I don't wanna see the doctor… don't wanna talk to her…"
“You won’t see her my love.” V said softly, nudging his head “not unless things get more serious, but I don’t think we’re there just yet.”
"Nooooo… I don't wanna see her ever…" Nathaniel coughed again, rubbing his throat with a wince. "Nngh… I-I'll be fine…"
V silently nodded though he knew if things got worse until the point if neither him nor Urielle and Jarvis’ could help with, the the doctor was their last resort.
Nathaniel buried himself in V's arms, curling up tightly as he trembled. He was obviously uncomfortable, but still too stubborn and afraid to see the doctor. "How long do these things usually take to pass…?"
“I’m not sure.” He said softly, shifting around a bit and pressing Nathaniel close to him. “I guess it depends on the person and their health. If this is a cold, it’s lasting a little longer than I’ve seen normally but it’s not getting worse so I think it should be alright.”
"Mmmm…" Nathaniel winced a bit at a sharp pang of pain from his head, gripping V not tightly. "Should I just try to sleep so I can feel good again…?"
He shrugged “I’m not sure sleep would do much but it would probably help your body relax and deal with this, so sure.” He pressed a sweet kiss to his head and offered a small smile. “Sleep well Nath, I love you.”
"Love you too…" Nathaniel closed his eyes and yawned, taking a while, but soon drifting off to sleep in V's arms.
V watched his beloved angel sleep for a while, gently running his hand through husband hand. He eventually shifted out of their bed and started dinner, heating up the soup from before as well as Nath’s medicine. He debated whether or not to call Jarvis’ sister, knowing she could probably help, but ultimately decided not to, not wanting upset Nathaniel by going behind his back and calling the one person he didn't want to see
Nathaniel woke up after a few hours with a soft groan. His head was aching and felt like it was under immense pressure, and he couldn't bring himself to lift it. "Mmmmm… V…" He whined.
V popped back into the bedroom, holding a pot full of water and stirring some lemon and ginger. “Hey love, give me one moment.” He went back to the kitchen and set the pot down. He went back to the bedroom and set beside Nathaniel. “Ready first dinner?” He asked softly, massage his head gently
"Mmmm… I guess…" Nathaniel leaned into V's gentle touch and closed his eyes with a soft sigh. "Head hurts… want it to stooooop…" He whined.
