"Hmm… well, I haven't a clue where bandages are, so I think my strategy will have to work until it heals." The cut was at least clean, and it stretched across the palm of his left hand.
"Hmm… well, I haven't a clue where bandages are, so I think my strategy will have to work until it heals." The cut was at least clean, and it stretched across the palm of his left hand.
"I…I don't know where any are either," Bridge admitted, his voice soft and submissive again. The knife…the knife needed to be cleaned. And then put away. And the floor needed to be cleaned too. Or he could move somewhere else, like the couch. But Scipio wouldn't be there. But if he was here…he would remember too much, he had already remembered far more than he should have.
"You sure you're okay?" Scipio looked through some cabinets. After searching through a few, he found bandages and starting wrapping them around his hand.
Bridge pressed his lips together, staying silent. He didn't want to lie to Scipio, but he didn't entirely want to admit he was still so shaken from being in the house.
"Go on and spit it out, love. You know I can tell when you're lying." Scipio tore off the excess bandages with his teeth.
"I…I know." Bridge said, pausing for a couple more moments. "I…the blood on the floor…and the knife…reminds me. Of things."
Scipio nodded and got a rag, tossing it onto the ground. He cleaned up the blood using his foot and rinsed off the knife. "There. No more blood. Well…" He looked at his hand, where blood was starting to seep through the bandages. "None on the ground or knife."
Bridge smiled a little. "It's…you're okay. Thank you."
"Mhmm. Now come on." Scipio brought Bridge back to the couch. "We'll be in Italy tomorrow."
Bridge's smile grew wider as he looped his arms around Scipio's neck. "I can't wait."
Scipio nodded and held Bridge tighter. "We won't have to worry about your dad or the police or anything."
"That sounds nice," Bridge admitted, kissing Scipio softly.
"Yep." Scipio kissed him back, holding Bridge's head in place with one hand.
Bridge sighed happily, reaching one hand up through Scipio's hair.
Scipio noticeably relaxed again, carefully laying back on the couch with Bridge still in his arms.
Bridge smiled into the kiss, pulling away gently for air after a couple more moments.
Scipio opened his eyes when Bridge pulled away, looking up at the younger boy calmly. The blue of his eyes was like that of a calm, rainy day at the moment. It was almost relaxing.
"I love you," He murmured softly, smiling a little bit.
"I… love you too… god, that sounds strange out of my mouth, doesn't it?" Scipio brushed a bit of Bridge's hair out of his eyes.
"A little…but I like it," Bridge said, giggling adorably.
Scipio blushed a bit at Bridge's laugh, cupping the other's face in one hand as he stared into his eyes.
"You're blushing again," Bridge said softly, smiling.
"Am I?" Scipio muttered, silently admiring the colors in Bridge's eyes. He gently ran his thumb across Bridge's cheek, a small smile appearing on his face.
Bridge gave a small nod. "You are. And…you're also really pretty." He himself blushed a bit at saying this, but knew it was true.
"If you say so." Scipio kissed Bridge gently again, closing his eyes.
