Scipio groaned and stirred, sitting up quicker than he probably should have. His eyes kept shifting in and out of focus, and he seemed a bit disoriented. The knuckles on one of his hands and the side of his face were both bleeding, although not badly.
Bridge reached out to help him up, pulling away at the last second to make sure it was okay. The last thing he wanted right now was making Scipio angry with him.
"I'm gonna fuckin kill Dave…" He muttered, rubbing his temple irritably. "Probably not right now though." He stood up unsteadily. "Hate it when they taze me…"
Bridge tilted his head. "Are…are you okay, though? You don't - you don't look…okay," He muttered softly.
"I'll be fine…" Scipio leaned against the wall, trying to look casual but really just using it for stability. "They figured out a while ago that I'm only really subdued when I'm unconscious, so they started tazing me if I got violent. I'm decent at fighting, but I can't do much if they've got seven guards in here."
"Oh." Bridge was silent for a moment, and then nodded. "I'm - I'm sorry."
Scipio shrugged, closing his eyes and rubbing the bridge of his nose. "None of them can take me one on one… they've at least learned that much. The tazing typically ensures that I'll be mostly docile when I wake up as well, since it messes with my muscles and makes it hard to do things. I don't really care though. They're all still scared of me and that's all that matters."
"Oh. Okay," Bridge agreed, sitting back down again. "Thank you…too. Thank you."
"Again, don't mention it. I'll take them on any day…" Scipio's legs were trembling and he sat down on the metal bench, still feeling dizzy. "It'll take a bit for the effects to wear off, though…"
Bridge, of course, was still not over the fact that Scipio had fought all of them off to protect him. "I…I still don't get it…though. Why - why would you fight…them for me? They weren't going - after you," He pointed out.
Scipio shrugged. "You don't deserve it. Any of this. People like me belong here, but you haven't done anything."
"I'm probably here…because of how - how I look," He admitted quietly. "People call me freak a lot. So I - I think I did do something."
"If it's because of how you look, then you didn't do anything other than exist." Scipio lay back on the bench. "Damn… head's killing me."
But that's just the thing. I exist. "Are…are you going to be okay - soon?" Bridge asked, looking up at him. Now that the lighting was better, Bridge could see almost all his features - and they were pretty ones for someone locked in an asylum.
Scipio nodded. "They do this relatively often. It can take about ten minutes to an hour depending how bad they shock me." He felt a bit nauseous and seemed to be shivering, although it wasn't cold. Really, his muscles were just freaking out from the electricity.
(if scipio doesn't really feel emotions how are we going to advance their relationship more)
Bridge only nodded, unsure of what to say or do. "Is there anything…I could do?" He asked nervously.
(I mean, he does, it'll probably just be chill and fluffy. It would advance slowly with little things like allowing Bridge to hug him and stuff)
"N-No… I'll get over it quick enough." Scipio folded his arms tightly over his chest. He didn't like being in this state; he was vulnerable, and it made him a bit nervous.
(alright)
"Oh. Okay," Bridge agreed softly, scooting a little bit closer to Scipio anyway.
Scipio stared blankly at the floor, trying to convince his mind that he wasn't in pain as he'd done before, but his muscles continued aching and trembling. He sometimes felt shocks similar to pins and needles going up his arms and legs and winced, never making eye contact with Bridge.
Bridge peered up at him, tilting his head and knowing exactly what was going on. "You are…you are in pain, aren't you?"
Scipio nodded silently after a few seconds of hesitation. I have a feeling this one's going to take a while… More shocks went through his body and he gritted his teeth.
"You can…" Bridge was unsure of what to say, having very little experience in the field. "Um…hold onto - something? I don't know…I'm sorry."
"I'm okay…" Scipio smiled weakly to reassure Bridge. It was really the only time he'd smiled without it being a smirk or sarcastic.
Bridge nodded, pulling his knees up to his chest. He really didn't want to move at this point. Yes, he wanted to get out, but he also wanted to stay with Scipio while he was here.
Scipio's eyes unfocused again and he eventually passed out against the wall. It hurt quite a bit more than he let on and the electricity was temporarily messing with his system, although there wouldn't be any lasting damage.
