“I don’t want to go insane,” Bridge replied softly, voice full of fear.
“I don’t want to go insane,” Bridge replied softly, voice full of fear.
"Yeah, well, none of us do. Technically speaking, I'm a psychopath. Most people would just get sent to prison after mass murder, but they decided to send me here after they realized I didn't experience any guilt whatsoever."
"Is…is that better than here?" He worried, trembling a little bit.
Scipio shrugged. "Couldn't say. I've never gone to prison. I've also never been old enough to go to prison."
“Oh.” Bridge said quietly, shivering a little. Not only was he terrified, this cell was cold.
"How old are you anyways, kid? Shouldn't you still be in school or some shit?"
“15…I don’t go to school,” He explained softly.
"Huh. I'm seventeen. I quit school at your age and joined the army. Told them I was eighteen though, and I'd made false proof of course, so I got in." Scipio drummed his fingers on his chest as he talked, still laying where he had been for a while.
“Oh. How…what’s false proof like?” Bridge asked innocently, looking up. This person is only two years older than me…do you get bad as you get older? I don’t want to be bad…
"Mostly just making documents that say I'm eighteen even though I'm fifteen. You know, just forging a couple signatures on birth certificates, fake license… all that."
“That…that wasn’t hard?” He asked, scooting just the tiniest bit closer to him.
"Course not. I'm not stupid." Scipio scoffed a bit. "I got pretty good at forging signatures as a kid."
“Oh.” Bridge paused for a moment, shivering. “Are you sure you don’t regret it?”
Scipio shook his head. "I already told you I'm a psychopath. I can't feel guilt. So to answer your question, no. I don't regret it."
“Can you feel…anything else?” Bridge asked curiously - although he was still scared, he had someone to talk to. He had never met a psychopath before.
"Sure. I mean, I can be afraid of being caught or angry if I am, I just don't experience any guilt for the action itself. I experience other emotions too, but I've gathered that mine are duller than normal people."
“That’s…hm. Okay.” Bridge gathered, glancing down at the floor and then back at Scipio. “You seem smart though. Why do you think I’m here?”
Scipio sat up and looked Bridge over. "Well, you're way too terrified and innocent to have actually done anything. You said your dad sent you here, so he likely made up some story of insanity to get rid of you permanently without the supposed guilt most people get after killing someone."
“Oh…oh.” Bridge dropped his head. “That sounds right.” He said quietly.
"Mhmm. I don't need anyone else's help to get here, though. I'm here of my own accord." He grinned a bit. "You'll get used to it soon enough. It gets a bit boring, but whatever…"
“I don’t want to get used to it,” He said quietly, looking up at Scipio.
"Go figures." He rolled his eyes. "I'd recommend it. If you don't get used to it, you'll kill yourself for sure. Not that it matters much to me, of course, but you'd probably rather live. Most people do…"
(How are we gonna advance their relationship)
“Oh. I…I do. How do you - how do you get used to it?” He asked, glancing around. He wasn’t sure how he could ever get used to this.
(Hnghh Idk lol. I feel like Scipio would show his affection by being protective. It's really best to tread carefully around him, since he's quite dangerous)
"Well, it becomes the norm. The first step is telling yourself it doesn't bother you. Eventually, you'll start to believe it. If you don't… you become another suicide."
((I’ll have someone come in later tehe))
“Okay…” Bridge said, looking around. It did bother him, though. Very much.
