This time, Bridge really did flinch. "I…I know you're not. You're very strong." He said in a small voice, which was true.
This time, Bridge really did flinch. "I…I know you're not. You're very strong." He said in a small voice, which was true.
Scipio stared at the floor, a few strands of his hair falling into his eyes. "I'm not weak…"
(Fun fact: Scipio's nickname is Scip (generally pronounced like Skype or skip))
Bridge reached out, hesitating a moment before brushing Scipio's hair back into place. "No…you're not."
Scipio glanced over at Bridge. "Do you ever wish you could disappear?"
Bridge nodded. "My dad…he made me disappear, but I wish I really could."
"It gets… depressing, in here. Sometimes I get to thinking that, of course the world would be better off without me. Don't try and convince me otherwise; I'm a psychopath murderer. The world doesn't need someone like me."
"Well…" Bridge tilted his head. "Without you, I…I would probably still be…with Dave."
Scipio shook his head softly, his hair falling out of place again. "He always brings you back eventually. He just likes to hurt people since he's got the authority. I hurt people to get the authority in the first place. It's just… handed to him on a silver platter!"
"I'm sorry," Bridge whispered, reaching to fix his hair with more confidence than before. "I'm…I'm sorry."
"What is sorry? And what are you having it for?" Scipio seemed to relax slightly when Bridge touched his hair.
"It's…it means that I'm sorry…for you. Because you're upset," He explained, dropping the hand to Scipio's shoulder.
"But upset is normal, isn't it?" Scipio locked eyes with Bridge, although they seemed more morose than unnerving now. "Why are you having sorry about it?"
Bridge blinked, slightly caught off guard by his gaze before adjusting again. "Yeah…but I want to make you feel better. A little. If…if I can."
What is it like to be better? Scipio wondered silently to himself. He maintained eye contact with Bridge.
Bridge pressed his lips together nervously, not looking away as the silence fell over them again. They were still very close together, and Bridge's hand was still on Scipio's hand where he had left it.
Scipio didn't react to Bridge's hand being on his. He's… very close. He glanced to the side for a moment before looking back at Bridge.
Bridge tilted his head sideways for a moment, now biting his bottom lip nervously. He had no idea what Scipio would do next.
"What are you doing?" Scipio asked. "Rather, why are you doing it? You already told me not to bite myself."
"Oh." Bridge blinked and stopped. "I'm…I'm biting my lip. It doesn't hurt…it's something I do when I'm nervous."
"Should I do it too?" Scipio bit his lip the way he'd seen Bridge doing, but it was just hella attractive on him.
"Oh." Bridge blushed and glanced down for a moment before looking back at him. "Um…yes."
"Why is your face red?" Scipio stopped biting his lip. It was pretty clear that he'd never been in a situation like this.
"I'm…I'm blushing," He responded quietly, looking down again. Scipio really was clueless in this situation, which made Bridge even more embarrassed to have to explain everything. But Scipio was pretty. Especially when he bit his lip.
"Why? What does it mean?" Scipio folded his hands neatly in his lap, maintaining eye contact with Bridge.
"It means…it can mean a lot of things…" He said in a small voice, eventually looking up again. Scipio didn't seem to be joking.
