Elsie tucked the notes away for later and headed to her first class of the day, sighing in relief.
"Really, thank you. You're a lifesaver."
"It really wasn't that big of a deal," Hannah countered.
"To my grades it is!"
They both turned to the classroom, heading inside and taking a seat.
"Uhm…..lemme think about that."
He says tapping his finger on his soft lips as if he was thinking. Which he was. Though he wasn't thinking if he liked someone. That was obvious to him. Nobody else of course. He was good at hiding any feelings. No, he was thinking about if he should tell her. Which automatically was an absolute no.
"Ill have to get back to you on that"
He says with that little half smirk he tends to do. He was going to have on that for a little bit.
"Now lets get to school Rye"
"Alright. Well, if you do find one, you don't have to worry about me." Rye knew when anyone was a in a relationship they would spend a lot of time together. But for now she was going to enjoy the time she had with him. Walking through the door she immediately started looking for Lance. "I'll see you after school right?" Rye asked Levi, today was a special day. It was their bestfriend day, icecream and the park, it may have been childish, but it wasn't to her. Rye gave him a smile and waved. "Text me okay." She then skipped off into the crowd.
"Copy that"
He let out a small smile as she skipped away from him, which he found adorable in every way possible. Just like her.
"H-Hey…..Uhm….Levi?"
A girl walked up to him holding something to her chest, pushing up her big round glasses.
"That's my name. Malorie right?"
He says putting his hands in his pockets, playing with the bandaid wrapper from earlier inside.
"Oh! Yes, I'm Malorie! Oh I'm surprised you remembered me. So anyway….Uhm…"
She was cut off by Levi sighing, his smile disappearing.
"Of course I know your name. I remember everyone's name. You're also in the class below me."
He says with an eye roll.
"Oh! Yes, of course! So uhm….would you take this? Don't open it until after i leave though"
She says handing him an envelope with a glittery heart sticker plastered on it, sealing it shut.
"Okay… Well i need to get to class."
He says taking the envelope, and with that, he walked away. This happened to him all the time. Nothing new.
Lance sat in his first class, waiting patiently for the bell to ring, his friend to left and no one to his right. He chatted with his friends until the bell finally ring and the morning announcements started.
He shoved the note in his bag and walked up to class. Grabbing his cloth from out of his pocket, these doors weren't the cleanest that was for sure. So using the cloth to open the door, he steps in. He had his own personal seat. He was actually considered a special ED because of his "disabilities" which he didn't appreciate. But that did mean he got a little bit of special treatment. He had his own clean desk for every class. He still cleaned it every time he sat down.
After swiftly wiping the seat and the top of the desk, he sat down, neatly folding the cloth, sticking it in his pocket, he sat down with a sigh, running his fingers through his wavy almost curly hair. His blue eyes darting around the classroom as he felt as if all eyes were on him.
Rye slammed the door open, panting a bit. Barely made it. All eyes were her way because of the sound. Rye just smiled and moved to her seat. "Rye," The teacher sighed and rubbed the bridge of her nose. "How many times have I told you to enter normally?" The teacher was necessarily mad, she knew Rye was a good kid, but she did have a tendency to run late. "I'm sorry, so sorry." Making excuses would only make things worse, so she decided no too. Some of the girls in class snickered at her. They were already making fun of her. Then she looked over and saw the girl from earlier. The one who likes Levi. They locked eyes for a moment before Rye looked away and focused on class. But the other girl leaned closer to her friend and started whispering.
After announcements ended, class began as usual and Mr. Stout started to explain what they would be doing in class that day. i have second class with Rye, Lance thought, tapping his foot quietly on the floor as he wrote down the notes Mr. Stout was giving them.
Elsie took out her notebook, copying what was on the board. She attempted to understand what the teacher was saying, although it proved futile. This class was one of her hardest ones for her and no matter how much she tried, she simply couldn't remember it all.
(Should we time skip or something?)
(Idk it's up to @Second-rate-Illy but i was thinkijg maybe to the next class. And maybe the girl that likes my guy and the other two could have classes together. Just a fun thought.)
(Sorry, I haven't been feeling all that well today. We should skip, yes. Lance and Rye with have their class together while Levi and Elsie have a class together. And as for the girl who gave the note to Levi, I don't care where you put her, haha, but we have to remember that Elsie likes Lance as well so it's this big love, square? And I think I want Elsie to find out that Levi likes Rye so she has something to hold against him or something and she tries to help him since she likes Lance but Lance is interested in Rye. Sorry, I just want on a rambled.)
(No it's fine i understand! So who's gonna do the skip?)
Lance got up as the bell rung for next class and began to head to class, the one he shared with Rye.
"Next….chemistry."
He mumbled to himself as he waited for everyone to leave. Which he always did. If not, he would have to deal with people actually touching him and looking at him. Also, Too much noise if you would ask him.
Once the halls were empty he got up and started taking his sweet little time walking down the halls to the chemistry room. He never liked to be early. Nor was he fond of being on time. Fashionably late was exactly how he liked it. Though he rather enjoyed chemistry. So he quickened his pace.
Opening the door then folding his cloth up and putting it in his pocket, the whole class' eyes were glued on him as he walked over to an empty seat right next to Elsie. The chemistry classes always have those big combined desks that you sit at on top of the stools. One little telescope in the middle along with via for each side.
As he sat down after wiping down the stool, he also wiped down his side of the desk.
"You're late Levi James."
The teacher says pushing up his glasses. His deep calm tone reminded him of his own. Which was severely annoying.
Levi said nothing. He just postured up and flipped his golden pen around in his fingers.
Elsie jumped a bit in her chair as Levi sat next to her. Calm down, she scolded herself immediately. He's a human, just like you. Say something!
"Hi," she greeted him neutrally. "We're reviewing today."
She never knew what to say to him; he didn't seem like the type to like small talk, or anything unnecessary. So it didn't leave her with much options.
Elsie didn't quite know what to think about him; he didn't say much. It bothered her a bit, really. She was so used to being able to know what people wanted, what they liked. She was used to giving people what they wanted. Yet with him, she hadn't the slightest idea. She wished she could figure him out; she was sure he really was a kind person. He hung out with that other girl, after all.
Lance sat patiently, waiting for Rye to arrive, class was just about to start, I wonder if she's here today? He thought.
"I'm sorry." A shout came from outside the door. Before she even opened it, Rye decided to apologize. Walking in she bowed many times. Growing up in a Japanese home, she was taught to do that as an apology. Other thought it was a bit weird, but it was a habit of her that she had tried getting rid of, but failed. "It's fine, just sit." The teacher waved her hand dismissing the girl. Once more she bowed then moved to her seat next to Lance. Even with the help from Levi this morning, Rye's hair returned to it's wavy messiness. It was impossible to tame it she learned, but still tried. When she sat, Rye brushed a piece of her hair behind her ear and gave Lance a side glance with a smile. The looked to see if the teacher was looking. But her back was towards them. Then she gave him a wave.
Lance smiled back at her and waved back, She sure is interesting. He thought.
Rye turned back to the front, and pulled out her notebook. No matter how she looked or acted, she was quite smart, she just didn't always use her brain. Rye is a more act before you think kind of girl, which has gotten her into trouble many times. A piece of her hair kept falling in a hair and from time to time she would try to blow it away. Soon enough it just started to annoy her. Reaching into her backpack she pulled out a hair tie and put her hair into a messy bun. A few strands were still down, but they didn't bother her much. Now that her hair was out of the way you could see her face more. It was strange for a Japanese girl, or boy for that matter to have blue eyes, that was another reason she was made fun of. She had smooth skin with a few light freckles that crossed her nose. She had small lips that were a pink tint. Rye though she was an okay looking girl, but lately her image of herself has plummeted. She felt ugly and hated coming to school. But her parents would never allow her to skip.
Lance thought Rye was an extremely cute girl though as Charlie had pointed out earlier, she was probably with Levi or at least liked him. Lance didn't like love conflict so if she like Levi he would just be her friend.
Turning his body to her as he crosses his legs, running his hands through his hair.
"Well thats nice. Elsie Adler correct?"
He says looking directly into her eyes. He was really big on direct eyecontact.
(sorry its so short)
"Yep," she stated, lifting her head and stared at him as well. His eyes were blue, although Elsie noticed that one had a touch of green… interesting.
His hair looks really soft, she noted absentmindedly. Wait, what?
