"It's okay. This isn't the first time." She was scared to look at Levi, she didn't want him to see the fear on her face. He had seen that enough tonight. "Man, today has definitely been eventful." She laughed trying to keep her positive attitude. "C-can you just hold me again?" He always made her feel better. And that kiss from earlier still had her wanting more. She wanted all of him. Am I getting greedy? "Also, exactly how long have you liked me?" Rye finally looked up at him, with a smirk on her face. She wanted to know everything. When he started to like her, and how he could hide it for so long? Because she couldn't, that's why she kissed him. She walked over to her bed and sat. Patting the spot next to her, Rye wanted him to join her. Cuddling right now sounded amazing.
(Sorry it's short. I'm getting ready to go shopping.)
(Nah, its totally fine. Have fun! <3)
He sat on the bed beside her and held her hand. He laid back and thought about it. "About….three years now" he says putting his hands under his head and having them act as a pillow. With his torso and arms stretched out, his muscles and scars were more visible than before, well at least his muscles were. Though he actually went to the gym every day, he never skipped. Actually, until today. So much has happened today. He didn't have any time.
He never really though about how long he had been in love with her until now. It had taken him a while to figure that out, but his answer was rather quick.
He turned on his side to look at her, "by the way, i apologize for the lack of clothing" he looked down at himself then back up at her with a soft chuckle
Rye had actually forgotten about his lack of clothing, that was until he mentioned it. She knew Levi was handsome. But those muscles… damn she loved them. She eyed him for a moment before turning red and slightly looking away, though she so badly wanted to keep looking. Chuckling nervously she turned her head. "No, no, I-it's okay." Don't look, don't look. "Look." A tiny voice in her head said. Rye was so tempted to just touch his abs. Why would he hide that God of a body? Even if he had the scars, girls would still fan over him, and honestly the scars make him look like a badass hottie. She wouldn't say that out loud though, because it has bad memories behind them.
He rolled over onto his side and propped his head up with his hand, his elbow resting on the bed still. He looked at her as her eyes lingered on his chest before she looked away.
Chuckling a bit, though he was a bit embarrassed.
He was shirtless in front of the girl he liked after all.
“You can if you want” he says calmly, as I feel he read her mind. Though his heart was freaking out at the moment. Was she going to? His heart was racing, thumping against his scarred chest.
He had no idea what she wasn’t going to do. She kissed him abou ten minutes ago for crying out loud! He didn’t Think he could ever get past that.
The scars were faded and deformed due to how much he’s grown since he was 8. But they were still noticeable. The most defined thing on there other than his muscles was the shape of a hot iron on the left side of his abs and other on her back. Freckles littered his chest like stars in the night sky, some ligh some dark. A few black ones every now and then. He always hated his freckles. To him, they looked like specks of dirt on his light skin. He ran his fingers through his hair and let out a breath that he didn’t realize he was holding until he let it out.
Rye turned slowly and sat up. He said I could. First she looked at his face, and how handsome it was, then her eyes traveled down his body. Hesitantly she moved her hand over to his chest and gently touched them. She had never done this to any guy, so of course she was going to be embarrassed. Her face was red and only got more red as her finger traveled down to his abs. They were so defined, Rye thought that they had to be fake. But it made no sense for them to be. When she reached close to his pant line she took her hand away. Tucking a piece of hair behind her ear, another awkward laugh came from her. What is he thinking now? Rye took a side glance at Levi and smiled. She had no idea what to say at this point. So much was happening all at once tonight that her emotions were everywhere. And having kissed Levi earlier, and him being shirtless and showing his God like body, made her heart want to explode. I'm so in love with him that it's crazy. And for three years I was oblivious to him having feelings for me. Rye wanted to kiss him again, but if she did, she was sure she was going to die from happiness and maybe a bit of embarrassment as well. It sucked that he had to see her like this. Levi has seen her cry before, but mostly he saw the happy-go-lucky girl she's been for so many years.
Levi stayed as still as possible as her fingers traveled down his body.
When she reached his pant line her touch sent visible shivers down his spine.
He sat up when she pulled away and took a deep breath. What was he supposed to say to that? To her? He was at loss for words.
He wanted to grab her face and kiss her again, but he didn’t.
His eyes were stuck on her soft lips for a few seconds before he pulled them away, biting his lip softly, just thinking about how her lips felt on his made him feel like he was going to go crazy! But he couldn’t help but love the sensation.
“You know….you totally stole my role.” He let out a soft chuckle.
“I was planning on confessing tonight… and kissing you” he mumbled the last part quietly, but there’s was still a chance she heard him.
He still couldn’t shake the thought of her actually liking him back. This gorgeous girl that was just so perfect to him, wouldn’t love someone like him….more than even a friend.
He had to push away all of the feelngs he had before all of this happened.
The denial, a little bit of frustration. And acceptance.
He had finally come to the point where he could accept the feeling of getting rejected by the girl he was oh so madly in love with. He wouldn’t cry or get mad. He would be happy for her that she didn’t have those kind of feelings to conflict with.
But now….it’s all changed. Everything so much different from what he thought it would be. She wasn’t rejecting him. She wasn’t running away at the sound of him confessing.
She’s was the one who confessed first actually!
He couldn’t believe what was happening.
Rye laughed, she had no idea he was going to do that tonight. In all honesty she thought that she should do it because getting rejected would help her move on. "Sorry, I guess." Rye saw Levi bite his lip and it was extremely cute. She moved over and sat in his lap facing him. "Do you mind if I kiss you again?" She couldn't help but want to. He was just so cute. "Gosh I love you." Instead of waiting for his answer, her lips collided with his. The feeling of him being so close to her made her body heat up. Her hands traveled up into Levi's wet curly hair. Everything about him she loved.
He went to say something, but she always interrupted him every time he did. But it was fine, he never minded.
When she sat in his lap his face turned beet red and her words got him all flustered.
But once she kissed him a soft noise escaped him and he leaned in and kissed her, back, locking his lips with hers. His hands went around her waist, pulling her even closer to his body than before.
She always had a particular smell to her that he just loved, and even after all of this that had just happened, it was still present.
No perfume or anything like that. And it was such a small detail, he was surprised even he noticed it. But for such a long time he's loved it, and that just gave him one more reason to be in love with her.
Her beautiful, kind and adorable personality that just made his heart do a summersault every time he would so much as look into those gorgeous eyes of hers.
And since when was she a good kisser?
(Sorry it's a bit short, im in a hurry and i wanted to try to reply to this)
Rye had never been in love before, and never was really interested in it until recently. But Levi? Rye had no idea if he's loved anyone before her, or even had a girlfriend for that matter. Sure it bothered her a bit, but the past is the past. When they go back to school though, she can tell everyone… What can she tell them? Sure they both liked each other, but neither of them has asked the other out. So, are they official? Rye had no idea, she wanted to ask but she also didn't want to stop kissing him. Her arms fell to around his neck. How lucky am I to have such a gorgeous guy like me? Never in her wildest dreams did she ever think she would fall in love with her best friend, oh but how glad she was that she did. Just then the door opened up and in came Ty. "Alright, that's enough you two." He wanted to stop thing before they escalated. "Ty?!" Rye quickly hot off Levi, but went the wrong way and fell to the floor. "Ow," laughing, Ty knew she was going to be okay. "Here," He threw a shirt at Levi and smiled. "Put this on before you defile my adorable, innocent little sister." Rye was completely red. How much bad he seen? Was he going to tell her parents? And how dare he interrupt.
(How dare he interrupt” I’m dead XD)
He was startled by Ty coming in, his hands slipped away from Ryes waist as she got off of him, 5ough he instantly regretted it as she fell down. He looked down at the girl with a concerned look on his face as he tried to even out his breathing which had sped up while they were kissing.
“Are you alright?” He asked her concerned as his wet hair fell in his face. Oh how he loved it when she ran her hands through his hair as she kissed him.
He looked up at Ty when he threw him the shirt. He thought about it probably being too small or at least tight one him since he was skinnier than him.
When he slipped it on, he was right. It wasn’t super skin tight, but his chest showed a little more than he would like for it to.
“I wasn’t going to defile her…” he says looking away as he felt the heat coming back to his cheeks as thoughts flooded into his mind. He quickly tried his best to shake them off. Which was a lot harder than he thought it would have been. But eventually it worked.
The fact that he laughed eased Levi a little bit. He wasn’t mad from his actions and his tone. Though he still felt somewhat,,,,wrong.
He just got caught basically making out with this dudes little sister.
though he told him to kiss her when he hadn’t the chance. But he didn’t think he quite mean to this. He wasn’t complaining at all.
“Sorry though” he says quietly, almost mumbling it as he blew that certain curl of hair out of his face. It had dried and so it was straighter than normal.
It always happened when he would take a cold shower, but when it was hot his hair would be more fluffy than normal. He always hated it. But he was always too lazy to figure out how it worked.
"Anyway, Rye you're good to leave." Ty walked over and helped her up. When she was fully standing he pulled her into a hug. He has always been protective of her, and it broke his heart that he couldn't stop all this from happening. He laid his head on hers. A huge smile was on Rye's face, she loves her brother. Ty was there for her before Levi came around, he played girly games with her, and took her places she wanted to go. He was truly the best brother she could've asked for. "You'll be coming to stay with me for a while. So we'll go by the house and you can pack." Rye was a tad confused, but she would ask later. "Levi, would you like to come over tonight as well?" Even Ty noticed the scars, who wouldn't? He was worried about him, and would feel better if he stayed over as well. "Although don't get your hopes up on sleeping in the same bed as my precious little sister." He said it in a joking manner, but he was completely serious. Rye pushed him off and gave him a look. "Just what kind of girl do you think I am?" She crossed her arms. "The kind to make out with a boy in a hospital bed." Her face grew red and she looked over at Levi then back at Ty. "I-I, whatever let's just go." She was completely embarrassed, honestly she couldn't believe that he said that. "So Levi, wait do you want to do?"
He adjusted the tight shirt, though not making it any better.
Watching their interaction made him really happy actually. He was glad Rye actually had someone like him.
He was pleasantly surprised Ty didn't hate his guts by now.
When he was mentioned he became a tad awkward. Was his place clean? Organized? Yeah, he sounded like a total stuck up jerk. And it had to be better than his place.
"I would never dare to do something such as that. Without consent" he mumbled the last part. He turned to Rye with a sweet smile. "Yeah, I'll come. If you guys don't mind. My foster parents don't care where i am. As long as im not dead" he says with a shrug. Actually, they probably wouldn't care. They might get in trouble if he did die though. But Levi could handle himself.
As they walked he kept on trying to subtly readjust the shirt. He really didnt like how it fit over his torso. And he never wore shirts like these. Normally a nice button up with the sleeves rolled up just below his elbow and an over jacket.
With his hair like this too, he looked completely different, but not in a bad way.
He stayed behind the two siblings as he quietly followed them to the car. He was trying not to let his OCD and his anxiety get in the way and bother them. They would for sure be annoyed with him if he did.
Rye opened the door for Levi, she knew about his OCD and helped whenever she could. Surprisingly, the inside of Ty's car was spotless. He didn't have OCD but he was definitely a clean freak. Plus this was his new car, his baby, of course he wasn't going to have it be a mess. "Should we go by your place Levi, or not even bother with it?" Ty got in the driver's seat. Rye was going to get in the back with Levi, but decided to sit in front when her brother gave her a look. Great, now he's going to keep a closer eye in me. It hurt her feelings a bit that he didn't trust her, but whatever. Buckling in Ty started the car and waited for Levi's answer. Rye slipped her arm in the back to hold his hand, she could at least do this much, right? (Sorry it's short.)
(Nah its fine. Mines gonna have to be a bit short also.)
Levi slid in the back, happy that his car was clean. "Nah, i would rather not. Though….do you have a hoodie….or….something bigger? I don't mean to complain, so it's fine if not" he says noticing her hand slide behind the seat.
He couldn't help but smile, slowly grabbing her hand, lacing his fingers within hers gently.
As they drove, he felt as if Ty didn't really trust him. He felt a bit hurt. He's known Ty for so long. Ty knows he wouldn't do anything to her. Ever in a million years.
He hoped he didn't think of him that way just because of what happened earlier.
"That shirt is my friends that he left at my place. Don't worry I washed it." Ty pulled up to his parents house and Rye let go of Levi's hand. "I'll be right back." Hopping out of the car she ran inside to grab anything that she absolutely needed. "Levi.. if my sister gets out of hand I'll need you to be the person to stop it. When she acted like that in the hospital I knew she was going to be a handful. She's never been in love before, so I'm sure she won't be able to control herself." Ty turned and looked at Levi. His face was completely serious. "I don't hate you. Actually you're the only one o want my sister to be with. But if you hurt her in any way or do anything to betray my trust, you can be sure as hell i will break things off." Ty liked Levi, but his sister was his first priority, especially now. Ty turned back around and said nothing more. Rye came back out struggling to carry a few bags. Sure it may be more than she needs, but she wasn't exactly sure how long she would be staying with her brother, so she wanted to be prepared.
Once Rye got out, he sat there silently, fidgeting his thumbs together until Ty spoke up. He looked up to him as he got a bit more nervous. But he listened carefully and nodded.
"O-okay…" He says more quietly. He opened his mouth to say something else, but Rye came out and sat in the car. He couldn't even fathom hurting her in any way. And why would he? He had no reason to.
Though he couldn't stop thinking about one thing. Was she going to get carried away? He couldn't really imagine her getting carried away. Oh wait…yes he could.
He mentally slapped himself, trying to get his thoughts out of his head.
If she did get Carried away, he would have to stop her… But would he be able to stop?
He would have to have a ton of self-control, which he was never good at having. But if it could turn into something that could hurt Rye in any way, that was more important.
He stayed quiet in the back lost in thoughts. Thinking about how she's going to handle it if she does get out of hand and he has to stop her.
Thinking about how horrible he's going to feel. Suddenly pushing thoughts out of his head that of course, a teenage boy was thinking, but Levi didn't like it.
What was he going to.do? He didn't want to hurt Rye's feelings but at the same time…this is her brother telling him to protect her.
(Poor Levi, he's so conflicted, haha.)
It was a quiet ride, which made Rye uncomfortable. Did something happen? Just by her brothers posture and facial expression, she could tell something was off. A bit uncomfortable, Rye tapped her finger on her leg. It's something she does when she is nervous or uncomfortable. Slowly the town got further away. She had no idea her brother lived out this far, it was even more surprising that she had never been invited over. About half an hour passed before they pulled up in the driveway. Immediately Whalen the car stopped Rye got out. The air in the car was to heavy for her. The house was a decent size, and it was further away from other people. Rye liked it, it was quiet. "Well, better get inside." Grabbing all her bags she headed for the door, thank goodness it was unlocked. When she opened it, her face hit something hard and she stumbled backwards. "Ty, you're late." A tall guy with blonde hair, stood there in just a towel as water dripped from his hair. His eyes were a hazel green, and those muscles. Do I have a thing for guys with defined muscles? He had a shocked face as he looked down, with Rye's face was completely red, she couldn't take her eyes off him though, she was frozen. "Damn it Issac!" Ty ran over and pushed his friend in the door and closed it. "Go put some clothes on!" Rye tensed up and her face grew more red realizing what just happened. Leaving her bags behind she ran back to the car for Levi.
Levi had gotten out of the car, leaning on it and watching as the shirtless blonde came out, he watched as Rye looked at him, feeling a tang of jealousy as she starred at him. He looked away and took a deep breath. He was a jealous that he didn't have all of those scars. A clean slate. It was prettier to look at. He didn't blame Rye.
Though when she came up to.him he forced a small smile. It wasn't that he wasn't happy to.be around her. But with everything that happened today, he was emotionally drained. He didn't know whether to just say nothing or to.cry or.to run away or to. Punch a hole in the wall and scream. He didn't know what to do. And he hated it.
But for now he was going to put on a mask that hid all of his insecurities.
"You alright?" He asked her as she stepped up to him.
(Okay, so there's a ton of periods everywhere instead of spaces, and i apologize for that. My phones acting weird.)
(That's okay.)
Rye felt guilty, extremely guilty. How could she even this another guy was attractive when Levi was only a few feet away. When she looked at Levi's face, she could tell something was off. Even if he didn't know it, Rye could tell when Levi was upset. He's mad at me. I knew it. What kind of person wouldn't be mad after seeing the person they love blush after seeing a half naked guy. "Ah.." She moved her eyes away from his. She couldn't bear to see him upset. "No," She smiled and ran a hand through her hair, "I'm fine." With that she walked away. "Sorry about that." Issac opened the door with a smile. "Ty didn't say anyone would be coming over. Rye grabbed her things and headed inside. Ty walked up to Issac and glared. "Don't think about doing anything to my sister." He walked by. The issac saw Levi in the distance and gave him a smile before turning around. "So this is the famous little sister. The adorable, innocent, precious little sister of Ty." Rye set her bags down and turned to face Issac. He was handsome and kind, that is her first impression. "Yes, hello, I'm Rye."
Once everyone was inside he stepped in too, surprised by how clean it was. He didn't say anything, he only looked around, then to Isaac. He seemed nice. He wasn't going to be mean to him. It wasn't his fault that Rye looked at him like that.
But that made him think about something more important.
Did Rye only like him for his looks? He did have a pretty bland personality. She didn't know about the others…though he figured she would most likely like the others more than Levi.
"stop freaking out Cayd. It's not like she's going to fall in love with that dude just because she saw him shirtless"
"alright….ill try" he says to Auden, though not out loud.
Rye ran to and extra bedroom and shut the door behind her. "He's mad, he's totally mad." She started to pace the room wondering what she should do to make it up to him. "He probably thinks I'm some shallow girl now, but I'm just not used to seeing a guy in only a towel." A deep feeling of panic started to kick in. She ripped her bandage off, since it was falling off anyway. On the far wall there sat a mirror. Since she left the hospital she hasn't looked at herself in the mirror, and honestly she was scared to. Hesitantly she moved over to it. Rye almost didn't recognize herself. Her lip was busted, and she had a black eye. Plus all the small cuts and… Lifting her hand she gently touched her scar, but flinched because it still hurt. There were stitches. Rye thought that she probably should've kept the bandage on. How could Levi like a girl like me? It was a mystery to her. She wasn't all that pretty, and her personality was average. So why? "I'm just tired, maybe I should sleep." She left the room to go grab her bags and she saw all the guys just standing in the living room. "Um, I think I'm going to head to bed."
He looked back at Rye from Ty and Isaac. "Oh….wait your bandage" he stepped up to her with concern on his face. "Did it fall off? Are you okay? It looks like it hurts. I could have sworn you had the bandage on a second ago" he says worriedly, bending down to her level as he tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear. Still even with all of those bruises and cuts, and even her black eye, he thought she was gorgeous.
He didn't stand too close to her, since her brother was around. He didn't want him getting mad at him.
"Ah.. right. I took it off." She smiled knowing she wasn't supposed too. Both Levi and her brother were probably going to scold her. But when Ty walked up he whispered in Levi's ear. "You take care of this." He smiled at Levi as he walked to his room, dragging Issac with him. "Sorry. I just wanted to see how bad it was." Just then, as if she hadn't cried enough, tears streamed down her cheeks. "Sorry… I don't know why I'm crying." Rye began to wipe them away as fast as she could. She didn't want to cry in front of him anymore. "I'm sorry…" Why am I crying? Stop Rye, stop. A sad smile replaced her fake happy one, even know she tried to keep smiling for him. She needed to smile.
He took a deep breath, shivers going down his spine when Ty whispered in his ear. He never liked people whispering in his ear. But Ty didn't know that, so he let it go.
He watched them walk away and then turned back to Rye. Once he saw her crying, his heart just shriveled up into a ball of sadness and sympathy.
He grabbed her hand and stepped over to the couch, he wrapped his arms around her and held her.
"It's alright to cry. Don't stop yourself" he says softly. Maybe he needed to take his own advice. He held in his emotions so much. It was unacceptable to cry as a male anyway. That's what he grew up being told. By his mother anyway. Whenever he would show any emotion other than being a perfect kid his mother would always get so mad. Maybe that was why he was so bland and monotone.
But this wasn't about him, it was about her. He wasn't the one crying though he wanted to. He wasn't the one who just got hospitalized by falling into a river.
She needed to be held more than him. And he was more than happy to hold her
"I've just been crying so much tonight, it's kind of annoying me." Rye managed to laugh a bit. When Levi held her, she almost immediately calmed down. It was like a super power of his. Even when they were younger, and Levi was only warming up to her, if she fell he would come help her up then continue walking. Back then he was even kind, but just didn't know how to show it. "Ah.. I'm going to have to go to school looking like this tomorrow. I'm going to be flooded with questions." And what about them? Should she say they are dating now? It would keep the girls away from him, which Rye thought sounded nice. She had always been a bit jealous when a girl got too close to Levi. Even in middle school, she would get jealous of anyone who wanted to be his friend, she wanted to be special to him, and back then she felt that if he had more friends she wouldn't be special. Now she knew better, is was just child selfishness and the longing of wanting to be liked. Actually Rye can't even remember why she wanted so badly for Levi to be her friend and to like her. She must have annoyed him a lot in the past. "It's going to be so troublesome."
