Rue aas a bit taken aback, she never really liked being in front of the camera much. Her dream was to be a photographer. "You must be kidding. I'm not fit to be a model." She smiled shyly and tucked a piece of fallen hair behind her ear. Why would he want to take pictures of her in the first place? Weren't there many other girls who would fit better? "Anyway, we should go." Rye was scared to hear his answer, even if he already said it would suit her. Is he just being nice?
He chuckled a little, "well you say that id make a good model, though i highly disagree. Now you know how i feel. Rye, you're absolutely gorgeous" he says as he stood up, ruffling her hair with a gentle smile. "Okay come on. Where do you want to go next?"
"Well, the road in the park has the best blooms so far." With her fingers Rye tried her best to fix her hair. Gorgeous, huh? She smiled and her face turned red. There was a feeling inside her when he said that, and she liked it. "You may not know it, but you are extremely handsome. Every girl in school is after you, you know." Rye opened the door and began to walk to the park. She pulled her phone out and looked through her pictures. That's strange, most of my pictures are of Levi. Rye hadn't noticed till now. Her eyes wandered up to his face. The wind blew his hair and a few flower passed by. She was mesmerised, and it was in that moment she realized what this feeling was. I'm in love with Levi.
He smiled at her comment. Trying his best not to turn red, he walked through the door. “With all of these freckles and this messy hair?” He rolled his eyes “yeah right. It’s just because I’m a gentleman. I know how to treat a lady properly. Which they don’t know how to be treated properly. So once they find someone that’s actually nice to them, they fall. It’s sad really.” He says with a sigh.
"Ah, I see." Maybe he's just being nice. Does that mean I'm one of those girls? Rye felt a bit hurt, but even if he didn't like her and they just stayed friends, she would be okay with that… right? It took about 15 minutes to get to the park. And when they did the street was covered in flowers and the trees were as well. The beautiful pink color surrounded them. "Wow," Rye's eyes lit up. Sure this happened every year, but she never got tired of it. She pulled out her phone and began taking pictures.
“Which I don’t get why they think I’m being nice. Have you seen how rude I usually am to them. Maybe I hold open the door for them or pick up their pencil. But I guess that’s just how it is.” He shrugged.
Once they arrived at the park he looked around with a rather content expression.
A soft smile to match it with his hands in his pockets, his blue eyes glazed over the scenery “yeah it’s pretty amazing,” He says stepping up to her and watching as she took the pictures. She was an amazing photographer. He could never be that good.
Even if she denied it, she would always be a better photographer.
He’s told her a few times every now and then that he did photography, but he mostly wrote. He’s already actually written a few books. Now the only thing he needs to do know is publish them. Oh how he would absolutely love for at least one of his books Tom be published. Especially his main book that he’s been working on for a few years now. “Time after Time”. He just finished it about a week ago.
It was a romance, fantasy novel. He would talk to Rye about it for so long. He was always afraid that she was getting annoyed or tired of him talking about it, but she’s never seemed to.
A man is locked in an insane asylum and a girl that only was out there because her parents thought she was insane meet and end up falling in love while the man is helping her escape. The man ends up dying in the end by “Ol Sparky”. That’s what Levi always liked to call the electric chair.
He never seemed to have the time to actually publish the book.
He really did need to do that soon did he
Without looking at him, Rye pointed to a spot near the river that had many trees around it. "You should go stand over there." Her eyes slightly moved to his. It was like they were glowing. She's always loved his eyes. For a minute she got lost in his eyes. "Levi.. I.." someone bumped into her before she could finish, and honestly she was grateful, this wasn't the time for confessions, maybe it never will be. "Never mind." She smiled and waved her phone around. "Let's take some pictures!" Her excitement was back, or at least she acted as if it was.
He had all of his attention on her when she said his name.
Oh gosh. Whenever she so much as said his name his heart beat as fast as a drum.
He was partially startled when someone bumped into her, but he let it slide.
As long as she didn’t mind and she wasn’t hurt, he found no reason to be rude.
At least not in front of her. He hated being rude to people in front of her.
He never actually found it hard or anything to be 5e biggest jerk in the world.
As long as it’s not in front of her that is.
“Okay?” He says a little confused. “Are you alright?” He asks as he glares at the man who bumped into her.
"Yeah…. I'm okay." Keep smiling and he won't ask questions. Quickly she snapped a picture of him. "This scenery suits you. It makes you actually look kind." She nudged him and laughed. Of course she was kidding." Rye already thought he was kind, always. She looked at the picture she just took and he looked amazing. "This is a keeper. Look at my amazing and handsome friend." Rye had a few flowers stuck in her hair. Her blue eyes sparkled with joy.
He was a little hurt when she said that but he didn’t let that show.
He knew he didn’t look kind. Nor was he kind a lot of times.
But when she said that, he didn’t really feel very good about himself.
He ignored the feeling and focused on other things.
How gorgeous and absolutely adorable she was at that moment. As always
“Here, let’s get some over by that tree. It seems lonely” he says ruffling her hair and gesturing to a lonesome tree near the other side of the pond.
“You’d look great right there underneath it” he says with a small smile
"Okay." Rye skipped over to where he pointed. She was no model, so being in front of the camera was awkward and she didn't know what to do. "Alright, tell me what to do." Standing there she just smiled. Then her thoughts wandered to what it would be like if her and Levi were to be together. The thought made her face red, and she looked down at the ground, running her hand through her hair. Hoping her the redness on her face wasn't too visible, she lifted her and smiled once more.
He held up the camera and snapped a few pictures, though he got a little caught up in the moment. The way her hair fell and shaped her face and how her blue eyes lit up like a firefly in the dead of night every time she saw something pretty.
Her cute smile that just made his heart flutter whenever he would see her.
He stepped to the side and got a whole bunch of different angles of her.
“Okay last one.” He says stepping closer. “We’re gonna go for more….dramatic okay? So tilt your head to the side and look over to your left of into the distance”
Rye leand against the black fance behind her that blocked off the river. They just recently put this up, so that people wouldn't fall in. Doing as he said, she tilted her head and looked off in the distance. "Like this?" She felt silly, but if he thought it looked good then it was fine. She wanted him to think she looked good. It was by now many people were looking at her as they walked by, it made her uncomfortable, but she didn't budge. Next is a picture of us together.
"Perfect." He says quietly as he snapped the picture from about three different angles.
He felt like that one gay friend that would always go "YAAS QUEEN" while taking his friends pictures. Which he didn't really mind.
"You're gorgeous. You know that right" he says handing her the camera
Rye blushed once again, it was like anything he said made her heart flutter. As two guys were walking by Levi they talked about Rye. "She's your type right?" The brown haired one asked his taller friend. "That's true. She is really pretty." He stopped a few feet away from Levi. "She seems to have a guy already." They both took a side glance to where Levi was standing, then looked back at Rye and just stood there whispering. "So… how did the pictures turn out?" She skipped over to Levi and stood next to him. The two guys watch her carefully and still just stood there.
Levi had gotten a bit distracted by the two guys whispering about her. And quite annoyed to say the least.
Once Rye skipped over to him, he gently swung his arm around her shoulder and pulled her a bit closer to him so she could "get a better look at the pictures". It wasn't to ward of those two creeps at all.
"They turned out amazing. You should let me take more pictures of you" he smiled at her, bending down a little bit and placing a soft kiss on her cheek.
He would explain everything later. Once those two guys leave them alone.
Though he couldn't help but to turn beet red from it. He had just kissed Rye on the cheek! Was that rude? He didn't ask her if he could or not! But it would have been weird if he did ask her.
Instead of overthinking everything, he took a deep breath and acted as calm as possible, sending a sharp, cold glare the boys way.
When Levi pulled Rye closer she didn't think much about it, even if it did make her heart skip a beat. No, it was when Levi kissed her cheek, that she almost exploded with happiness. A small noise escaped her lips and she froze. W-What just happened?! Her face turned red, and there was no way of hiding it. The two guys just rolled their eyes as they walked away. Seeing that they thought that Levi had to be her boyfriend. "Uh…" Rye cleared her throat and laughed a bit awkwardly. "So, the pictures turned out good." Since there was nothing for Rye to hide with she knew that Levi could see how red her face is. Why would he do that? "Levi.. Why did you kiss me?" She tried her best to not think about it and just look at the pictures, but that was impossible.
He backed away a little, removing his arm from around her shoulder. "I'm so sorry. I didn't…i mean intotally.meant to but…well.." He was at a loss for words.
He stood up straight and took a deep breath, though wanting to.hide his red face.
"Well….those creeps that came over here..they were talking about you. So i just warded them away. I'm apologize" he says running his fingers through his black, curly hair. He was nervous out of his mind!
Was that weird to.say? Would she get mad at him?
He had no idea what she was going to do
(Gosh, I freaking love him!!)
"Ah, I see…" Rye was curious as to why he would go that far, but mostly she was just disappointed that she felt… well… disappointed. Rye just smiled trying to continue to be herself. She didn't want Levi to worry, even if she did feel like crying. This was her first love, so she had no idea how much a small action could affect her. "The sky is getting darker. We should head to our secret place." Rye figured it wasn't going to work out, they were friends, there was no way Levi would think of her differently. So.. she decided to get over this first love, people said your first love doesn't work out anyway. Though she really wanted it to. Grabbing his hand she led him away from the park and towards their hill. This is going to be the last time I hold is hand. If she was going to get over him, she would have to stop doing things like this.
(Awe, thank you :3 I've worked hard on developing him lol)
He took a deep.breath, biting his lip as he thought to himself.
They neared the hill and walked up it to where they could see the sun just as it was about to.fall asleep and the moon coming up to take it's place, letting the souls rest underneath the moons grace and the trees rustling in the soft wind across the town.
His heartbeat hard against his chest, he was afraid she could hear it His time he looked at her. His shaky breath filled with nervousness with every time it came through his soft lips. He looked over to where they sat last night, leading her over and sitting down. He looked up to.her with a kind smile. Gentle and sweet, just like how he felt every time.he looked at her.
Should he tell.her now?
When Levi looked at her, his eyes reflecting the sunset, it was beautiful. She smiled when he did. Rye truly does love him and she always will. Sitting in the grass she felt the nice breeze as it blew her black hair behind her. "We can never tell anyone else about this place. It's just for us, okay?" She turned to Levi pulling her knees close to her chest, and smiled. She wanted this place to be for just them. So that if one day they do go their separate ways, they can always come here and remember the good times. "Do you remember when we first met? I tried so hard to get you to open up to me, I used to follow around everywhere, you hated it." She laughed thinking back on the good times.
He smiled at the thought. He was so annoyed with her st first.
“I’m glad you did though” he ruffled her hair. “And I always will be” He turned his eyes back to the sunset. A content feeling in his chest.
“I wasn’t ever planning on telling anyone about this place anyway.” He says looking back at her. He loved the fact that this place was their special place.
Only theirs. Nobody else up here. Just them in each others company. Simply enjoying her every time they came up here. He admired her. The glowing of the setting sun against her soft skin and how her eyes reflected it. Oh those gorgeous eyes.
She was the most gorgeous being he’s seen. That was it. There was no one else just as perfect as her.
He looked down at their hand, fingers still interlocked as they sat still, looking into her eyes. He was absolutely mesmerized by her beauty.
This was his chance. Was he going to take it? They were so close to each other.
He said he was going to tell her next time he got. This was the time
Rye let go of Levi's hand and stood up. Near the edge of the hill was a wooden fance, and below the river rushing into town. For a hill it was pretty steep on this side. Rye loved the view. Leaning against the fence she smiled and breathed in the fresh air. The stars started to peek out from the blue sky, only a little bit of sun was left in the sky. There was only one light that worked out here now. A few years ago this used to be a popular place, and Rye wasn't sure why it was so abandoned now. "Hey Levi-" Before she could finish, Rye heard the creaking of wood. In mere seconds her body was falling towards the water. It happened so fast Rye didn't know what was going on. Her body hit the water. With it being so dark, Rye couldn't tell which way was up. Holding her breath for as long could, but it was getting hard. Her body was pushed many different ways from the water and rocks hitting her. Pain surged through her body. If she made it out alive, She was going to have some serious wounds. Levi.
(OH MY GOSH WHAT?)
Levi stood up with her and admired the view as she did the same.
He turned to her when she spoke, but then absolute horror flew through his body when the wood broke and she fell. “No….RYE NO!” He yelled as he went after her. He didn’t care about anything else. He slid down the hill and into the water.
He looked around as his voice got shaky. His mind all of over the place.
Everyone working to push him down. They could do it without him.
“Levi, let me handle this. I can get her”
“No! You…you can’t. You’ll hurt her!” he yelled at. Seemingly himself.
“YOURE NOT GOING TO BE ABLE SAVE HER! ADMIT IT! YOU NEED ME! COME ON LEVI!” the voice hissed in his mind, a migraine swallowed his mind.
“no, don’t do this. You know what’d he’ll do” another voice came out.
“There’s no other way DAMNIT! WHAT OTHER F&#@ING CHOICE DO I HAVE JAMASIN HUH!?” He yelled as tears fell down his freckled face.
Soon enough Levi gave in.
Leviathan, the closest being to Levi, yet the farthest. He swished through the water as if it didn’t even effect him. He caught a sigh of Ryes body and quickly ran over to her. He picked her up, his breathing hard and as shallow as ever.
He turned and quickly ran to the other side of the hill, setting her down in the grass.
“I did what you told me.” A hoarse voice came from his throat, his s accent gone. No sign of Levi’s Conscience was present.
“Rye….come on, Rye. You can’t leave us.” Jamasin says softly as he lifted up her head. Hopefully she was still conscious. “Levi’s loves you too much. Come on”
He looked down at her as his wet hair dripped down onto the grass.
(So his name isn’t actually Levi James. That’s the name he got in the Mental Ward. So you can find out why and how a little later :D)
