She shook her head. "My stomach hurts," she whispered. "Can I sit down?"
She shook her head. "My stomach hurts," she whispered. "Can I sit down?"
“Yeah, yeah of course,” Fyn replied, looking around for a bench or something before deciding just sitting on the hood of the car might work. He let go of her shoulders and walked to the car, brushing off the hood with his wing and hand before motioning that she could come sit.
She stumbled towards it and hoisted herself up slowly. She moaned.
He gently put a hand on her shoulder and made sure she wasn’t going to fall off the hood before sitting down beside her, his wing wrapping partially around her instinctively. “You alright Megan?” He asked, his eyes full of concern.
"No! I feel awful! I just let Justin walk away like that!" she wailed.
“Hey, it’s alright, we’re alright,” He comforted, gingerly wrapping her in a hug, “It would have been rude to make Justin stand here for this long anyways, and tomorrow you can ask him for a ride home. Today let’s just walk to your house and we can figure out what to do on the walk, alright?”
She nodded slowly. "This is what I get for standing up for myself," she lamented.
“No.” He shook his head, “This is because Savannah couldn’t handle not getting her way, this isn’t your fault at all.”
"If I hadn't said anything…" She protested weakly.
“Shhh,” He cut her off, , “This isn’t your fault, this is because Savannah isn’t mature enough to think. We’ll figure it out, and while we do that, please stop blaming yourself for this.”
Meghan let her shoulders drop. "Okay… I'll try."
A faint smile appeared on his face and he took a deep breath, “Now, do you want to start walking back to your house? I have an idea that might cheer you up otherwise, if it will work.”
She looked up at him. "What is it?" she asked, wiping away her tears.
“I’ve never tried it..ever, but I was thinking maybe I could try holding onto you and flying?” He suggested, “I would have to see if there is a way I could make you invisible like me, but I think I could carry you.”
She looked at him curiously. "You could do that?"
“Possibly? I don’t know for sure,” He said, standing up a little way away from the car and spreading his wings out, though he was careful to keep them transparent Incase someone came by.
Meghan walked slowly over to him. "You want to try it?"
Fyn looked around and then at her, “I can’t promise that this will work, but yes, I’d like to try it if you’re willing.”
She studied him and nodded slowly.
With that, he took a step closer to her, trying to decide what would be the easiest and best way to hold her so she wouldn’t fall in the air.
She stood rather calmly, begging herself to stop shaking.
Eventually he rubbed the back of his neck and stood right in front of her, crouching down and gently circling a hand around her waist so he could pick her up. He stood back up and fluffed out his wings, “You can hook your arms around my neck, I don’t want you to fall.”
She quickly did as she was told. "Thank you," she whispered.
“I’m your guardian angel, it’s no problem,” He said softly, his wings fluttering slightly and lifting them into the air just above the ground. He then closed his eyes, turning himself invisible and trying to make Megan as well, “Is it working? Are you invisible?”
She looked down art her bid and saw it wasn't there. She gasped. "Yes!" She gripped around his neck tighter in surprise.
