Sterling:

I snuck up behind Eden and grabbed her hand. Spinning her around, I laughed before pulling her to me and grinning down at her.

"I missed you~!" I declared, maybe a little too excitedly.

Eden’s POV:

I nearly screamed when someone snuck behind me and grabbed my hand, pulling me towards them.

“I missed you~!” My eyes widened at the familiar voice before my lips twisted into a smile.

“Sterling!” I wrapped my arms around him, hugging him tightly, as best as my arms around allow. “I missed you, too… spending time without you is so hard…”

Sterling:

I grinned and bent down to kiss the top of her head. "I know… Life is so boring without my amazing, beautiful Queen Eden."

Gray’s POV:

You know, couples can be very annoying. Especially when you’re trying to get to class and they’re standing in your way.

“You are such a charmer, Sterling,” Eden smiled brightly, her face lighting up as Sterling placed a kiss on her forehead.

I cleared my throat.

“You know, you can do this away from the classroom door?” I interrupted with a roll of my eyes.

I'd left for the class with Eden, and now stood awkwardly to the side, not knowing what to say. My concentration slipped, mind drifting… but a familiar voice jolted me back to the present. Gray. I raised my head quickly, staring at him from the corner which I had tucked myself into.

Sterling:

I raised an eyebrow and turned to look in the direction the familiar voice came from. With a polite nod, I gave him a small smile, but I didn't step aside.

"You're right, we could. But I rather enjoy seeing to looks on people's faces when there's a little PDA in the halls," I joked with a chuckle. "Besides. You forgot to use the magic word."

Gray’s POV:

I could tell the guy didn’t like me. Of course he didn’t. I don’t blame him. Still, I commended him for being polite to a person he disliked.

“It’s a nightmare—PDA in the hallways, that’s what it is,” I replied with a shake of my head before I gasped. “The magic word? How could I forget such a thing! Open sesame!”

He hadn't noticed me yet, tucked behind Eden. But the question was, why did I want him to notice me? I'd spent hours on end pouring over what he'd said, but…… I honestly had no idea how to feel.

Sterling:

I chuckled and shook my head, slightly amused. "That's not what I meant, but whatever. Go ahead. We should probably be getting inside, anyway," I said, tugging Eden away so he could pass.

Gray’s POV:

I bowed dramatically.

“Why thank you, Your Highness,” I said with a deep bow before I straightened. Just when I pulled up again, I caught Violeta standing there. I guess she was behind Eden this whole time.

I looked at her for a little while, contemplating whether I should talk to her or not.

I’ve hurt her enough…

Shaking my head, I decided to listen to the rational side of me. It was right. I’d hurt her enough, so I looked away, walked into class and sat down on my seat.
